want to use a denon DN11 DAB as a CD player and to hook up my record player and play through my Sonos speakers - can I do this?

Hello! I have my new construction home prewired ceiling with 2 speakers  on living room and two in basement. I have volume knob on each floor as well. Will one AMP suffice? I just want to be able to turn the volume down in basement while I’m playing in the livingroom. 

Just bought a brand new Sonos Amp by this memorial weekend. So excited to plug in my Bose speakers and then plug the Amp the power outlet to start setting/ connecting my Sonos systems. You know what, it spent me more than 5 hours, and reboot all my Sonos speakers/ internet router/ delete and reinstall Sonos app to my iPhone but still couldn’t connect the Amp. So frustrated to write down such complaints. Hey Sonos fix your App immediately or roll it back to the Gold color version 16.1 please! 

I have an amp and my backyard speakers connected to it. They are the type that spike into the ground and I also have the backyard sub. All of a sudden, I get really low volume on the speakers and a ton of base. Any idea what could be causing ? In Spotify I have the volume fully up  Moderator Note - Recorded and removed diagnostics from post.

Newb here, so this might be a dumb question. If I buy a heavily used Sonos Amp, will it sound just as good as a brand-new Sonos Amp? Another words, does the Amp wear out over time in terms of the sound quality it provides?

After the past App update desaster I wonder whether anybody can name functional alternatives to Sonos Amp products of other manufacturers, that allow to stream internet radio as well as play NAS-based music? I would like to move away from Sonos, but lack knowledge of serious alternatives.

I’ve seen there are a few ways to hook up an analog stereo to Sonos speakers. I have a few pieces of kit going into a graphic equalizer and the EQ goes out to my current amplifier.What’s the best device for connecting all that to the Sonos? I’d guess the EQ can output directly to a Sonos Amp. That’s a lot of money. Are there other more economical options?I guessWhat’s the best What’s the most cost-efficient And what are the trade-offs between the two?

Looking to understand if there are any issues etc.  Also are there any alternative wifi sub’s that are better and will work with the sonos amp and keff wired speakers? many thanksM

Have a new Era 300 and Line-In function is NOT working at all. I have several 3.5mm to USB-C adapters and have tried them all with no success. A factory reset of the Era 300 also made no difference. The app shows Disconnected even when the cable is connected. Do I really need to spend the $19 of the “official” Sonos brand line-in adapter for this to work or should any other brand theoretically do the trick. Or is there another problem here?

I was trying to add a Sonos Boost which had become disconnected from my system.  I reset the boost numerous times following the proper procedures.  Searching on the web, I found several references to simply “Add a Boost.”  But what no one clarified is that this option doesn’t automatically appear.   The Sonos Boost must first be correctly connected to the router, in my case a router extender, Orbi.The Sonos app on my iPhone only displayed the “Add a Boost” box option from Settings...System… “once” I connected the Sonos Boost directly to the router extender hardware that provides a WiFi mesh.  Connecting the Sonos Boost directly to the main router apparently was an incorrect configuration.  If you’re not seeing the option, try checking your connection to the router.

Can my sub be used with Sonos amp and passive speakers

Hello Sonos gurus, my current setup in my 2 room apartment is:Android phone playing YouTube Music/TuneIn/whatever via BT Bedroom has a Como Audio Solo + Como Ambiente, forming a nice little stereo setup which recieves BT and duly plays the audio Living Room has an Aiyima D03 BT amp, which recieves the BT audio and powers 2 small but powerful-enough-for-me bookshelf speakersIt works just fine, except that I’m always moving between the rooms, and hence am always disconnecting & connecting the Como and the Aiymima on my phone. This is very tiresome.Hence, I am very interested if 2 Connects could be grouped together in order to play audio in both rooms without the faffing around. This seems a great fit for me if possible as I get to leverage my existing audio hardware.Since I’m a total Sonos n00b, I don’t really know where to start when determining if this setup is feasible and hence a few pointers / links would be fantastic.Cheers.

Can I take an optical audio signal from a new tv and input into sonos zp80

I would like to buy a third party subwoofer to add wirelessly to my Sonos one amp which powers two wired ceiling speakers. Does anyone know if this is possible and if so which subwoofers will work? I.e. can I buy any subwoofer that has WiFi connection?

Good day Hi guys,I have a “problem”Have Beoplay A9 (5th GEN) and Sonos Port connected to it via ( RCA to USB-C A9 G5 does only have USB-C (dongle included))However I can not get the get the volume “up and down” to work correctly.I can pick line in on A9, but I can not control volume through Sonos app The volume is stuck at predefined level and I need to open up the B&O app to change the Volume!Is there a workaround? With hope of helpBWMr.B

I have read that the Brennan B3 cd player is the “only” CD player that connects seamlessly to the Sonos era 300.  Can you verify?  I just bought the ERA 300 and connects to my iphone perfectly. But i would like to play my CDs wirelessly and “cast” to my new speaker.  What CD players will work without all the hassles and complications i have been reading about on your forums.. yikes, spent $500 euros. Help!

I have my amp setup as surround speakers with my arc. For music playback I would like to switch to the amp speakers only (I.e. have a third option such as „front surround only“ besides „ambient“ and „full“)I know that this is not possible yet. But as the feature has been requested so many times since multiple years: is there any timeline from Sonos on this? I don’t think this should be to hard to implement… Thanks! 

I’ve managed to aquire 3 old ZP100s which are still in working order. I have added them to my system but they aren’t showing in the upgrade pages.Are they part of the upgrade program or is there any way to check if they have already been used for this.

i am wondering if i can add a sonos sub gen3 to a setup with a sonos sub mini before i buy it.

Hi all. This may not make any sense but recently while playing CDs on a cheap DVD/CD player the sound cuts off periodically but ONLY when running through the line in of the port and ONLY when the port is set to Pass through from my pre amp. If I set the port to variable the music does not cut out. It should also be noted that on my metered pre amp the VU meters seem to always have a signal in that there is always movement. The CD player is connected to the pre amp via RCA cables and not into my pre amps DAC via coaxial cable as I am not sure my pre amp DAC works. Any ideas?

Is it safe and recommended to stack Sonos Amps?

Ok, I have to plead optical audio ignorance here, but how does the Optical Audio Adaptor (came with the ARC sound bar) work?  How does the adaptor convert the optical audio out signal from the TV to an HDMI signal?  There is no electronics to convert from optical audio to HDMI built into this thing that I can see!The reason I asked is because I assumed that I could simply plug the optical audio adaptor into to my LG TV’s optical audio out plug (as it should be), set the tv to optical output and the connect adaptor via HDMI cable to one of the HDMI plugs on a Pioneer receiver and I’d get audio.  Apparently it doesn’t work that way!  What am I missing?  Any input would be appreciated and thanks in advance.  

I’ve read through all the threads thus far, but most are >1 yr old. Question is whether you can connect the Philips Hue HDMI sync box to Sonos Connect Amp to utilize sonos native app functionality to control music(via Spotify) and have it sync to lights?

Hi All, currently have a new play 5 and sub in my kitchen. I’m thinking of installing a Sonos amp with 2 B&W in ceiling speakers CCM362 to replace. my worry’s is will it be an upgrade or downgrade? kitchen is 4.5m by 7m.any advise would be grateful.
