4 speakers split between 2 floors. Each with volume control. One amp

Hello! 

I have my new construction home prewired ceiling with 2 speakers  on living room and two in basement. I have volume knob on each floor as well. Will one AMP suffice? I just want to be able to turn the volume down in basement while I’m playing in the livingroom.

Yes, the Amp will send amplified audio to each volume control and you can change it for each room.
