Can I take an optical audio signal from a new tv and input into sonos zp80

No, zp80 has no digital input.
Besides that it’s a very old device… I recommend buying a Sonos home theater device. Sonos Ray is a cheap „entry“ product and offers digital input via toslink.

I thought the ZP-80 had a TOS and digital-coax input. Looked at my stripped ZP case and thought I saw one so I found this non-stripped pic.

If I’m not wrong then you could feed the Optical / TOS port on one from your TV but you’d have a 75 ms delay in the audio you might not like.

@Stanley_4

Toslink and Coax are outputs.
