Hi everyoneMy new play fives have arrived todayAnybody know if there is a stand that fits them securely, the ones I’ve found so far don’t attach the speaker to the stand , the speaker just sits on it‍♂️pleaseDon’t want to risk having them been knocked a hitting the floor

Hi,     Looking for some advice on a remodel.  We have an open family/kitchen/dining section that are re-doing and I want to install ceiling speakers.  For the Family room area, I already have an Arc soundbar.  I was planning to buy 1 amp and 3 in-ceiling speaker sets.  I would position 2 sets in the kitchen and dining section to ideally pair together, with one last set of speakers positioned above the couch to pair with the Arc.    My question is should this work? Do the ceiling speakers pair separately as a set or even individually? Or is it by the amp (so all 3 sets/6 speakers are one control/set of music)? I’ve read some other posts and it didn’t seem clear to me at least.       Any help or thoughts would be appreciated!

I am new to the Sonos experience and am in the process of setting up stereo paired Sonos One speakers.  My intended purpose is the use the speakers for listening to music.  I am thinking about maybe adding a Sonos sub.  Would a sub be worth adding to this set up is it more suited to Sonos Fives or TV surround sound systems?

Hello Everyone,Once again I think my Sonos expectations were incorrect and I did not do the research. I got a Sonos Sub (gen 3) today and realized that it will probably not pair up with my Sonos Connect.In my Livingroom I have the Connect patched into an Onkyo Receiver/Amp with a set of Wharfedale Diamond (WD) speakers.I wanted the Sub to mirror what was being streamed in or out of the Connect so that the sub would back up those WDs that are in the living room (TV/Music etc.).I have a Play 5 in one bedroom, a Five in another bedroom, a Move (useless here) in another room and a Boost (also useless here that I bought years ago).I grabbed the 5s and brought them into the living room to hear this Sub, but that is not the ideal setup. Linking the Sub to the 5s (that are in other rooms) is also not the ideal setup (Playing three dimensional volume/level adjustments etc.).To be honest I am not sure that the 5s need the Sub unless you get to very-very high volumes (to do the heavy bass lifting

I’m looking to get a speaker for my studio and am not sure on the setup, room is quite small (100 sq. feet). I’m between the One, the Five or potentially a One pair. Any recommendations?

Hi Sonos Community!I have a bar with two tv’s and one Sonos amp connected to in-ceiling speakers. I would like the ability to choose either tv for audio playback via ARC to the Sonos amp. Is there an HDMI switch available that I can use to achieve this function? Right now I have one tv connected straight to the Sonos amp and the other tv uses it’s built in speakers.

I just preordered two Roams but it got me thinking which is a better setup for outdoor listening, two roams or one move.  My backyard has wifi access so “multi-yard” sound is possible. Im just curious to hear opinions from Move owners.  

I am wondering what is my best option for a new home wifi system. The home will also feature a lot of internet plug ins. Mainly want in the living room and kitchen, with a porch speaker and possibly able to connect in Master bathroom. Thoughts?

Just bought a new home, they’ve previously had 4 in ceiling Sonos speakers installed. 2 in the living room and 2 in the kitchen which they’ve left. The overall setup from the previous owners was an amp, play bar, sub and ceiling speakers. I am now looking at my own setup, incorporating the ceiling speakers and looking for an understanding.  if I was to replicate the previous system, buying a playbar, sub and amp. Could I wire all of these to one amp? (playbar, sub and four ceiling speakers). Or would I need two amps to power all rooms? To have audio in different rooms I.e. tv audio in the living room, but then different audio in the kitchen I presume another amp would be needed? If I want music to play throughout the ceiling speakers and sub could the tv then play separate?  thanks in advance      

Hello everyone. I am in the final stages of determining my future Sonos system. Last bit is trying to include my Pioneer SX-535 receiver and Pioneer PL-530 turntable. I believe all I need to do is connect the receiver using the Headphone Out (front located) and into either the Port or Five. Please let me know if this all makes sense.I am leaning towards the Five because it allows yet another speaker in the home for just a little more cost than the Port, and utilizing the 3.5mm in. I do not have any speakers connected to the receiver. I really want to be able to connect the turntable, radio, and old tapes to Sonos. Will the Five still continue to play even if the receiver is off?I do have some speakers outside that I could connect the Receiver too and utilize the Port, but with a small t.v. outside, I think a cheap separate receiver for that location would likely be best at the moment until a proper AMP/Sonos Outdoor Speaker can be purchased. Thanks for your time everyone,-Adam  

I just moved into a new home. My main question right now is, for a gym (converted bedroom), would I be better served to purchase the Sonos Amp and connect two Ascend Acoustics Sierra 2 speakers and Emotiva sub to it (already own them) or to purchase a pair of Play Fives. The bigger story of my setup for the whole home is below. I’d appreciate any advice at all about it. I recently moved and am currently upgrading all of my audio. My prior main room setup was a Denon receiver with a 3.1 setup consisting of 3 Ascend Acoustics speakers and an Emotiva 10” sub. It sounded great, but there were wires (seemingly everywhere), and it was not a part of a whole home / distributed audio system.  The new house is forcing two changes. First, there is a whole home audio system, consisting of 6 pairs of in ceiling speakers in 6 rooms. Hello Guys,Newbie here, sorry if I am asking the same questions as some of the experienced members may have answered it in the past.  In my future house, I have a living room space of approximately 13X18 and planning to use Sonos instead of my current Bose 5.1 on wall speakers.  Tv is going to be on wall which is 18 feet above the fireplace. I am planning to put 4 in-ceiling Speakers (2 in the front and 2 in the rear left & right)), one Sonos Sub (3rd Generation), Sonos Play Bar in the center (debating) and Sonos Amp in the same room although I have Denon Receiver. Questions Sonos Play Bar or Sonos Arc ?Sonos Play Bar as I am getter it cheaper or should I go with Sonos Arc (will it make a huge difference)Do I need Sonos Play Bar as centre speaker if I am using 4 ceiling speakers as it will create a phantom channel? In my TV I have ARC. I would like to connect my Nintendo Switch, Cable TV Box, IPTV Box and Blue-ray / DVD player which is currently connected to my Denon receiver via H

Thinking of getting a Roam for a boat.  Does anyone use a portable wifi speaker on a boat.The wifi connection would be via a MiFi dongle as wifi in the Marinas is pretty rubbish. Any experience ?

Seems ridiculous that because I chose to have someone give me gift cards for my bday rather than ask them to purchase me a Sonos Move outright (a little pricey of an ask, IMO), that I will have to wait until the product is back in stock to order. That means I will automatically be put at the back of the line...after everyone else orders theirs because I won’t be able to get online until the item is available. This seems to be a major oversight in the Sonos payment system. Disappointing.

What is the best speaker to pair with the Sonos move?

Apologize if this is redundant. I’ve been searching around and only seen bits and pieces of what I’m looking for. I have a 2020 Samsung TV mounted on a fireplace (no mantle). Is it possible to use an Amp bonded with two Fives for wireless tv audio? I know this is a bit overkill...but I have no desire for a soundbar, and I don’t want to use the Fives as rears. 2 reasons for doing this: keeps the missus happy with no wires (outlets tucked behind Fives) AND I’d like to have the “better” audio quality of Fives in general for music. Thanks so much...and if someone answered this elsewhere, I’m ok with reading a link, just had trouble finding one.

I am currently using a pair of sonos 1 speakers for my rears in my surround setup. And have an original playbar and sub as well. I am going to update my soundbar to the arc, but I am also debating using in ceiling speakers and a new connect amp as my rear speakers instead. Anyone have any insight on why one is or isn't better ? Is it worth the money? Any gains? Thanks everyone 

I can currently stream music from my iOS devices to two Bose Home speaker 500s; two Sony AV receivers (hard wired to surround sound speakers); and one Lithe Audio speaker - all are Apple Airplay2 compatible. I now want a method to connect my old hi-fi system (tape deck, turntable, amp) to all these speakers.  I was wondering if the Sonos Port was the answer.  Hard wire connection from old hi-fi to Sonos Port and then stream from Sonos to any speaker.  Will it work or does Sonos Port only work with its own set of Airplay2 speakers? many thanks...

here a copy of the email I sent to Sonos, Hi I went online to order a Sonos 1 (gen2) this morning at Sonos home sounds (UK) and found trade in deal for a Sonos connect but when i applied they said they had to suspend the deal for the time being, can you tell me if the deal is being offered by Sonos if not why are your authorized dealers still showing the very iffy salesmanship even misleading dishonest sales techniqueanyone else had this prolem with Sonos home sounds?

Is the alignment of the speaker platform and the base of the Sonos stand fixed? i.e. can the platform be rotated perpendicularly or any other angle to the base? Thanks.

I’ll try to explain it with as few words as possible. This is a new house and the speaker wiring wasn’t optimal and I’m looking for a solution.Room  1: Open Kitchen + Family room (Family room is an open floorplan with the kitchen.) There’s a TV above the fireplace w/ cat6 & amazon fire. Speakers: There are speakers in the kitchen ceiling that are connected to Room 2 (Main Home Theater room w/ AVR)What components / setup would I need to purchase such that I can play the sound from the TV in Room 1 (from the TV to the Kitchen) even though the speakers are wired into Room 2. I’m willing to do some attic work if I have to; however, does Sonos offer a setup that would solve my issue?  Example: Sonos Connect + Sonos Amp + Playbar? I honestly do not know and seeking this communities help for guidance.Thank you.

I've got an open, 15ft x 30ft kitchen & living room with concrete floors and high ceilings. I'm only going to be using the speakers for music and I'm wondering if its better to have with the sub in the middle:1) 4 Sonos Ones placed in the corners (ish) of the roomsOR2) Two Fives placed either at both ends of the room, or in the center.I already tried the Sub + Two Fives and it sounds amazing. I'm hoping I can save some money and have better sound dispersion by switching as it seems the Fives, as good as they are, may be overkill for that space. If it matters, I mostly listen to electronic music and what I call "90s adult contemporary"

I have a large collection of live music.  Currently it is stored on the hard drive of a windows desktop pc, backed up on an external hard drive).  I am due for a new computer that functions as my stereo, and I have been slowly moving off windows, so I may upgrade to Ubuntu for the next generation of computer that stores/plays music in my house.  But that isn’t my question (but if Ubuntu is a bad idea, feel free to tell me)….I am in the market for some wireless speakers.  I want to be able to play a playlist (which is a concert) that is currently stored on a hard drive on a computer in my office.  Ideally, I’d be able to play whatever concert I wanted in one or more rooms in the house.  Bonus points- I also need a nice sound system for the TV.  If the same speakers can play music from the computer OR play sound from the the tv in the living room, that’s pretty much my perfect setup.  And then I could get another speaker for the kitchen (we need music when we cook), and maybe an indoor/o
