What to get

Hi all, I have placed my order for the Beam Gen 2 on 2/7/2022. And it is on back order for 2/18/2022. and today 2/23/2022. it still shows back order and my card has not been charged yet. I have gotten word that it should be shipping tomorrow or Friday for me. If their is one thing I have learned from this experience, I should order future Sonos products from my local retail store going forward.

Hello everybody, I am currently upgrading my TV & Music setup with an ARC, which gives me some headache in regards to the surround limitations that come with the ARC. I hope that you guys can help me with your inputs on the options I have to make things work again.As info, I am by no means “audiophile”, but of course appreciate good sound quality.My setup currently currently consists of:Sonos ARC Sonos AMP connected to 2  3rd party rear speakers (Dali Zensor 3) connected to 3rd party active subwoofer (Dali Sub E-12F / RCA connections) connected to record player As a consequence of the subwoofer port and line-in being disabled, the subwoofer and record player are currently not in the system. However, i would love to find a (preferably cheap) way of including both. My options are:Buy a 2.gen connect / port and plug-inthe subwoofer to the audio-out channel. Would that be possible to get into the same room as the ARC and AMP? Will the sound quality of the sub and the other speakers

Hi, I’m new in the community room. I would like connect all of my “OLD” devices to “NEW” speakers. The reason why I chose the Sonos is the wireless possibilities (no need the audio wire to the rear speakers). Unfortunately Sonos does not the right support, hundreds questions in a community forum are the result.I drew the system I want to have, but I’m in doubt, what Sonos (or other) central unit should I use. Please, can anyone help me and advise the right system setting ? TX a lot. 

Hi All,I’m planning a speaker layout for a large screen-in porch (950 sq ft).It would be pretty straightforward to mount 4 outdoor speakers (powered by 1 Amp) high up on some of the posts (please see included image below).Would that sound good though throughout the space? Or do I need the speakers further apart from one another (the posts are 15 feet apart)? Or do I need more speakers for this space?I could figure out a way to do recessed ceiling speakers (4 or 6), but only with more time and expense. I’m okay making the investment if it’s necessary though.I would greatly appreciate some opinions on whether what I’m proposing will be sufficient or if I need to take a different approach.Thank you! 

I've contacted Sonos 3 times. Each one has said it will work. I want to send it out to the community, and hopefully get the same response. If I get the arc, a pair of one sl's. There is my surround sound, correct? But here is the what has to work. If I buy the amp, I can pair it with both the arc and one sl's. Which should make the RCA out live.. correct? I must use my own subs. It's not about how much the house can shake. But how the sound waves and depth, are beyond what any soundbar company currently makes. Thanks for reading. 

I’m thinking of buying the Sonos One Gen 2 and Sonos One SL and pairing them up. I currently have the Asus RT-AX58U router. I would like to know if the issues with Sonos speakers and Asus routers have been resolved?

Hi all!I have researched, and researched without finding any true direction over the past few months. I have a 65 inch TV, and I am looking to get a sound bar, but not sure if the Arc is better than the Beam. I am also looking to set up surround sound, and a subwoofer would be great too. It’s obvious to me the Beam is going to be less pricey, so wondering if I should go that direction despite the size of my TV. I’m new to Sonos, so curious about a couple of things, like how many speakers could I pair with my sound bar? For example, would I be able to pear speakers throughout my apartment to it? Also, what does it look like when changing the volume on a Sonos sound bar? I haven’t had much luck seeing it in use on YouTube, just setup videos. Any help is appreciated here, I’m fairly new to this, but excited to (hopefully) one day watch my TV and listen to music in style. Building a new home.  We’re going to have a TV outside under a covered patio.  I will most likely use a Beam w/ the TV.  My goal is to have a pair of speakers paired with the Beam to use as surrounds and mostly to be used as music for the back patio and pool area.I really don’t wanna buy the sonos amp (go passive).  So what are my options?  One SLs (which will need power and a wall bracket; are those OK to be outside if under cover? Can (2) moves be paired with the Beam to act as surrounds or are they only for music?  I figured the (2) Moves would serve as the best flexibility and they’re water resistant, but do they work with the TV?

Hello, i would like to ask you. I have a specific room for proper Sonos setup. And my questions is:Is it good to have soundbar (Arc or Beam) above the TV?    Will be a proper spacial audio from movies and music, when i have a angled roof and high roof? I am adding a picture, how the TV (55inch size) is situated.  Thank you for any answer.RegardsOndřej  

I have 2 x Play 1 speakers stereo paired and using the S2 app.  Can I but an additional single "one" and pair it with an old play 1 in stereo mode and put the other old single Play 1 some where else?

I have a single Sonos Five in some builtin shelves in my living room right now, and it sounds great. I would like to get a Sonos Beam gen 2 for the TV in the living room also. I DON’T want to use the Five for the TV. We already have another TV in a game room with ARC, Sub, and One SL surrounds.However, I would like to use the Beam and the single Five for music. I listen to music in my living room way more than watch TV in that space.How does adding the Beam to my living room TV add to music experience? Would I need 2 separate “rooms” on the app for the Beam and Five since I'm not going to use the Five when I watch TV?The other more expensive option was to go all out and get 4 Sonance in ceiling speakers with an amp and Beam. Then find another spot for the Five. Not really going to happen at this point.

I have a pretty elaborate dj setup that I use a lot in my office and my wife is often doing art in her studio. She sometimes wants to listen to what I am playing but they are on opposite sides of the house. Do I just need to get a Sonos Amp or Port to play my dj set through the Sonos system?I am not concerned about delay or anything like that since I won't be using any Sonos speakers near me.Thanks to anyone that takes the time to answer.

Hey guys, I’m m brand new here just got a SONOS Beam Gen 2. First i got the Harman Kardon Multibeam but i was so disappointed with the sound so i decided to give Beam a try and its uncomparable difference (only the pain of setting up the Google assistant which has to work through Assistant app, which is not available in my country, instead of Google home app like every other device), I’m simply loving the sound. Of course my next decision is about the surround sound. I live in an apartment so sub is out of question if I don’t want my neighbors to murder me. I’m now torn between SONOS One Sl or cheaper IKEA Symfonisk… Is the extra 200$ on pair (yeah, in my country is Symfonisk pricy 135$) worth the difference? Or should i go for the more expensive Symfonisk frame? I would love your thoughts because I am just confused. Thanks for the help in advance.

Hi,I wonder if my wished setup is viable. it should look like this: Denon AVR-X4100W receiver with 2 B&W front speakers + SONOS ARC (as a central front speaker) and 2 IKEA Symfonisk as back surround speakers + SONOS subwoofer 3 genI own all of these elements today. What I am trying to do is to use all the best elements I have of 2 currently separate setups. It might feel strange, but it’s part of a “re-use with low cost” approach..I guess you could say that I have a basic starting point with a receiver and 2 “normal non-wifi speakers” and would like to add 4 SONOS components: ARC, subwoofer and 2 Symfonisks. but to secure they will actually work as a 5.1 system Any help would be deeply appreciated 

I just took advantage of the 30% Upgrade for my old Gen 1 Sonos:Connect and purchased the Sonos Port.  It says I have a backorder till March which is fine. Can I continue to use my current Connect until I get the Port, or do I need to send it in before I get the new one?

The one thing missing from my Sonos world is the ability to listen to my stuff on headphones. Has anybody got experience of using Port + audiophile headphone amp + headphones? Any recommendations? I listen mostly to music stored on my NAS, not so much streamed. Or would I be better looking for a different (ie non-Sonos) solution, e.g. an audiophile DAC + headphones? 

I have a crappy turntable with a preamp connected to a Sonos Port that works fine in streaming vinyl to my Sonos system.It’s functional but sounds terrible and I’d like to upgrade to a good turntable.The one I am looking at does not have a preamp so that means I need a Sonos Amp correct?I guess my question is do I need the Amp AND the Port?Or does the Sonos Amp have the same functionality as the Port, i.e. can stream to my Sonos system, but with a preamp built in?Thanks!

Do I have to use the Sonos Sonance speakers or can I use 2 pair of SONANCE - VP64R I am a Sonance dealer

Hey. Noob here.  in the process of building my house and am gonna add some Sonos to the equation.  i want to run2 speakers in my bedroom and 1 in my ensuite off the same Sonos amp.  i want to have the ability to listen to either (2)bedroom or (1)ensuite or all 3 at the same time. They will be on the same zone and don’t need to listen to any other audio sources separately.  is there any way this is possible using the balance L&R on the EQ? or in dual mono?  my other option is a dual volume control and just turn down one or the other when I don’t want it In use. Open to suggestions.  thanks.  

Hello All,  I just placed order  of two sonos play 5 , although I logged into my account while ordering , but I had wrong email address in the shipping address , I did not receive email with the order number , I also do not see any order under my account . How do I fix this issue ? 

My wife doesn’t like the look of a sound bar like the Arc. Can I get surround sound with 2 pairs (4 total) sonance ceiling speakers and a Sub all connected through an Amp?

Hello everyoneI have a question for you,I have a sonos system so composed,1 Beam + 2 symfonisk x the tv (which I called living room),2 Play sl to listen to music (which I called multimedia). I would like to add the subwoofer but to use it mainly with music (almost never for videos) is it possible to do so?Because I saw in the app thatthe sub addition is only possible for the living room and not for the multimedia area.I thank you in advance.Maurizio

I currently have a Playbar with the wires (power and optical) plastered into the wall. If I want to change it for a beam is there any adapter from the end of the optical cable to the hdmi of the beam? The adapter from sonos is from hdmi into optical but I need the reverse as I don’t want to redecorate and run a new hdmi cable down the wall to Samsung connect box. Thanks 

Hi,I am about to wire a tv room using a projector. An Arc or similar won’t work in the room due to placement issues, however, I am considering using 4-6 in-ceiling Sonos architectural speakers, a Sonos or other sub and a Sonos Amp for optimal home theater and music sound. Will this work? The Sonos Amp and the Apple TV will reside in a tech closet in the basement. I’d run raceway from the projector to the rack for future HDMI swap out. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thx.   

Hello.  We are building a home and we are finalizing our low voltage pre-wire plans now.  We are having Sonos amps and Sonance in-ceiling speakers mounted in a few rooms.  I would like to use the Sonance in-ceiling speakers located in the living room as rear surrounds.  We plan on purchasing a Sonos ARC and Sonos sub to round out the package.  I planned on having all three Amps located in the bistro closet.  Do I need to have the living room Amp in the living area or is fine in the closet?  Also wondering if the living room Sonance can pull double duty as the rears as well as just streaming music when not watching tv.  Thank you in advance for any assistance.
