I’d like to setup 3 different rooms but with the same audio source. Is it possible?
Can I use the mini sub with the arc soundbar?
I have the ARC. Is the new one that much better that I should spend the $$$? thanks.
Just a word of warning before you face a new world of angst/hurt, the new version of Norton (version 24) appears to suffer the same failings as the sonos app supposed ‘upgrade’. They are using the customers for QA !!! Head on over to the Norton forum for further info and turn off auto update till you see if the issues affect you. *This has been a public service announcement by someone who is fed up of tech firms thinking ‘if it aint broke, then lets break it!’
Long story short, I have a "second system" because the buyer of my old Sonos Roam will not register it. I wrote them and they said they just use it as a bluetooth speaker and will not be registering it (at least they got back to me?). How can I get Sonos to remove it from my account? It's causing issues with playback by confusing the two 'systems'.Please note I've also already contacted them via chat, no success, no help.
I have been reluctant, for over a year, to update from the S1 software to S2 software on my devices. The speakers on a whole house system that are integrated together. I want all my devices on the same system. Sonos updated without my permission a year ago and I lost a speaker because once it was updated to S2 it could not be changed or downgraded back to s1, this was a One SL speaker. It was frustrating I worked with Sonos for months for a fix or a resolution, but never got one. I still have my first Sonos item I purchased a Zone Player S5, the original, It still works and sounds great. If I update to S2 this will not work with my whole house integrated system. I just want to know if anyone can give me any answers of what the advantage would be to upgrade to S2 from S1 I am currently have been using for years. I am not having any problems with the S1 software. Please help.
i’ve just bought a new home and there are some existing outside speakers, can they be used with my sonos speakersnby adding thensonos amp?
I’m the happy owner of 2 play:5 gen 1 speakers. The speakers are paired and I use them to stream classical music mostly from Apple Music. I would like to replace them with 2 sonos fives. At first, replacing them with the fives seemed like a nobrainer to me, but now I’m wondering if chosing a pair of era 300’s wouldn’t be better. I read that the fives are punchier, but are they also better for classical music ? I know this is also a matter of taste, but I would really like to hear experiences from others. There is probably no bad choice.
Amp user here.I recently found a cool, local Portland station called xray.fm. They play ZERO ads on xray.fm which is one of the parts I love (I donated to them).I thought I’d check if there was a way to listen in Sonos and was thrilled to see xray.fm show up when I searched. I added it, clicked play and was immediately assaulted by ads! I know they aren’t coming from the actual station, so who is inserting the ads?Like probably all of you, I purchased Sonos hardware at great cost and I can’t imagine it would be Sonos inserting them. Can someone help me understand where the ads are coming from and if there is a way to stop them from being inserted?
I know many threads exist with this exact feature request and Sonos staff acknowledged it over a year ago.So, SONOSWhy can’t we remove SONOS Radio? We never listen to it and please don’t force things on us
A friend upgraded our soundbar and sub and now I’m having to use both Sonos aps. I’m trying to downgrade them to get everything back on S1, as I have two Play 5’s, a Connect and some misc equipment I’m not willing to repurchase. I performed the factory reset, and have the blinking green bar, but the S2 ap used to downgrade speakers can’t find them now. I’ve tried unplugging and put my phone right next to the soundbar but it’s not finding them. Any advice would appreciated!
Wife gave me tight budget for Surround sound of $1000.00.What would you do?1 Buy the Arc ultra and use it’s own.2 Buy a Samsung Q990C and have rear surrounds and Sub.We watch 90% tv and 10% movies
Music library not found. Tried everything with no success. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance!
I have Beam gen 1 and I'm looking at second hand symfonisks to add as surrounds and I'm wondering if gen 1 and 2 can be used together as surrounds or if I need to have same gen.I read from the support page about "stereo pairing" that the speakers to be paired need to be of "same model". However, I don't quite understand the list of speakers that what are considered as "same model".There's a foot note for Symfonisk floor lamp that it works with Symfonisk table lam gen 2. But I assume then it won't work with table lamp gen 1. And by that logic, wouldn't it mean that table lamp gen 1 and 2 don't work together? And if table lamp gen 1 and 2 don't work together then how do I know if bookshelf gen 1 will work with gen 2?From the forums I found that apparently some speakers are compatible between different gens while others are not so I'd like to know for sure before buying.
I would like to upgrade my existing Arc gen 1 to Arc ultra, but I cannot claim the upgrade discount mentioned by many on the Sonos website. In addition to my registered products under the system tab, the update option is not offered. Arc + 2 x Sub Gen 3 + 2 x Era 300After a little research, I was surprised to notice that Hungarian users are not eligible. It is more interesting, considering that all neighboring countries do. There is Hungarian support and service, but no upgrade discount? So how is this? Moreover, it is the same with my friend who lives in London. He also has the same Sonos products, but the upgrade discount is not available there either.Do you have any ideas how we can get the 15% discount?
I want to move my beam and era speakers from a summer location to a winter location for 6 months and then move them back to the summer location in the spring. If I set them up at the winter location and then return them to the summer location will the system recognize the speakers when they are reconnected?
Using the App, I can see all rooms and stream to each of them individually. When I try to "join" them via the App they immediately ungroup back to single rooms and only the first room plays music. I used to be able to achieve all this via wifi but a new provider and router has made connecting by wifi impossible. I have joined all via ethernet and all speakers have been assigned IP addresses via DHCPEach room has a network switch between the router and the speakers
I currently have a non-sonos receiver running surround in my living room. Am I able to connect any of the sonos subwoofers to this system and have it work with both TV and music? I feel like I tried to do this initially and it didn't work.
Hi all 👋So my playlists are now in Favourites My question is, how do we create a new one ie best of an artist or fav tracks, or add to exsiting? Is this feature coming back? Also the main album artwork is not showing but it is agains track listing Thanks
Why the new system is not the same in Apple IOS like in Windows? In windows I can make new playlists and add a song or a directory from home network BUT NOT in IOS? Or (maybe) I'm idiot? 😄
I have two Era 100’s, a multi disc pioneer CD player, and a Sonos Line-In Adapter. Nothing has been unboxed or plugged in yet. I’m waiting on responses before I begin this. I have working internet and wifi at my house so I don’t mind using it to setup if needed - however - I do not wish to keep the speakers connected in anyway to my internet. I want to use them hard-wired to the cd player. I don’t want to stream or use voice commands or the sonos app etc. I DO want them to be stereo and I am not doing multi-room. I also will not be moving or relocating them. How do I accomplish this?
Is the Arc not eligible for upgrade discount credits? I see the unit on my systems tab but not under upgrade. Only my two ONE SL.Same email address used on app and Sonos.com.
Hey folks,As per the title, I am just checking that its possible to create a home theater using my existing Ray Soundbar, and grouping this with 2 x Play One speakers. I’d initially purchased a Roam2 speaker, but have sent this back as albeit I could group this with my Ray Soundbar, there were issues with the speech sync, whihc was distorted and interupted. I called Sonos and they advised that I could simply use 2 x Play One speakers to achieve this. Howevefr I am just checking on this forum before I purchase the Play One speakers.
Hi everybodyI already have 2 Era 100 and i project to by 1 Era 300 (just a reflexion for the moment) my question is this one, I i add an Era 300 in combination of 2 era 100 (which are configured in stereo mode) does the Era 300 can restitue in stereo too. Thx for illuminating my mind 🔉
Dear Sonos World,Following the disastrous app release, can someone please advise if there is a timeline as to when we can expect everything to be working again. It has been months of shouting at Alexa, and waiting for the app to ‘warm up’ and we have had to get some bluetooth speakers in the meantime in order to be able to listen to anything with any confidence, and when we want to. I heard a rumour Sonos would allow us to use the old app until everything was fixed, will this happen?Appreciate an update.Tx
