Can I use Era 100 purely as a Bluetooth device?

Hi. I have 4 tourist rentals all connected to the same wifi network. I have set up 4 Era 100’s using this network. At the moment, if one guest uses the Era 100 in their rental, the music is also played in the other rental properties. Clearly my other guests do not want to hear each others music! If I disable the wifi on each speaker, can the guests still play music via Bluetooth only? Or is wifi mandatory?

Yes. Once the speakers are setup, you do not need WIFI to use them only as a Bluetooth speaker.

This will also eliminate renters using the app to group other speakers on the property.

Hi. Thanks for your quick response. Another question for you. If I turn the wifi off on 3 of the speakers but leave the 4th connected to the network (that particular rental also has the Ray home cinema system so its part of that group), that 4th one wont broadcast music or TV to the ones that have been disabled, will it? I think I am being thick but I guess if the others arent connected to the network, they wont ‘hear’ other stuff and only play what theyre being told to via Bluetooth - is that correct?

If the other speakers are NOT connected to WIFI, they cannot be Grouped with another speaker that IS connected to WIFI.
