This is very hard info to find. I am looking to determine:

1. Best Dolby Atmos experience

2. Minimal touching of the equipment settings/rebooting/finding info on audioholic web sites for seamless operation.

Price difference between the two extractors is significant. I am leaning in the OREI direction for the price.

My setup:

LG OLED TV with Google Chromecast (to HDMI Port)

Arc Ultra

2 Era 300’s as Surrounds

Connection: Do I simply connect the the TV HDMI Arc port to the box?

I do not have a firestick or alexa or gaming system.

I just want to watch 4k TV with Dolby Atmos (whatever is served via the Chromecast).

Thank you.

Hi @CaliNetiZen

Welcome to the Sonos Community! And, apologies for the delay.

I can’t give recommendations for third-party devices, unfortunately, but I can say that I definitely see more mention of the HD Fury Arcana than I do of any of the alternates here on the Sonos forum.

Such a device should be fitted between the TV and the Soundbar, yes, and the HDMI-ARC socket should be used.

My replying here will get your thread back on the list of recently active topics - you may get a reply from the Community yet.

I hope this helps.

If I understand you well you’d need the Arcana or Orei because the TV does not pas through DD+ (with Atmos) from the Chromecast to the Arc Ultra? Since it is not the newest of TV’s this could well be the case but I’d check my TV settings before splashing out for extra (not inexpensive) ad ons.

Thanks! I will try the Orei which is cheaper and works as well as the Fury according to Peter Pee’s excellent review of the two boxes. I was trying to guage real life experiences on this forum. Thanks.
