Hi

I currently have a Sonos Arc and sub gen 3, soon I will be getting an ultra to pair with my gen 3 sub.

My question is do I need to reset the gen 3 sub, or is it fine just removing the sub from my Sonos Arc in the app and then resetting the Sonos Arc?

Just not sure if the gen 3 requires a full reset to pair with my new arc ultra?

Thank you

You may be able to setup the Ultra, then remove the Sub from the Ark, then add it to the Ultra.

That should work, but I would prefer to reset the Sub and start a fresh setup.

Actually, factory resetting is not necessary.  You must remove it from the room it is in now, then add it to the new room.

Cool if thats the case. As be handy if I just remove from arc then add to the ultra once it’s set up.

Can a Sonos rep advise please as don’t want to do something if not necessary?

Thankyou

A reset should not be necessary.  Remove the Sub 3 from the Arc then after the Arc Ultra is set up & becomes a Sonos Room add the Sub 3 to it.  Of course I would play the Ultra without the sub for a while just to see how that Sound Motion driver performs.

Hi, just be awared that we are experiencing some troubles with Sub Gen 3 and Arc ultra : Sub seems to be a lot less powerful than before (before means with a Beam gen2 or an "old" Arc). Wainting for an explaination from Sonos and an upgrade to resolve that.
