Hi all, I have a turntable that has no phono preamp. I think that rules out the Sonos port, will a Sonos amp do the work? Or it it overkill to just buy it to play my old LP’s? I have a lot of Sonos speakers all over my house and I’d love to play my records on them and listen to them from everywhere. What’s the best solution you guys think? Thanks in advance,Vincent Belgium, Antwerp.
Hi,I understand that the Sonos’s official Atmos home theater setup would be Arc + Sub + One x 2, and One x2 act as the Rear Surrounds, but I do like the visual affect of hiding the Rear Surrounds inside the wall as Sonos Architectural by Sonance In-Wall Speaker can provide. But I am not sure in terms of sound quality as the Rear Surrounds and integration with entire Sonos sound system, would the In-Wall Speakers + Amp at the same level of Sonos One? Any Cons of replacing One with In-Wall Speakers? Appreciate your kind advice in advance!
My Music Library is refusing to update, on both scheduled and manually triggered. This seems relatively recent. When I trigger a manual update, it says that my NAS drive is no longer available, despite it being able to browse and play music from it.This is effecting all installs of my controllers, on Mac, PC, Amazon Kindle and Android Phone. I’ve got multiple Play:1, a Play: 3, and Connect and a Beam connected to the network.I had thought about removing and trying to add the device again, but I’m concerned that it will just not find it.Any ideas?
Upgraded my iPhone and cannot connect to Sonos
I ordered a set of Fives on 3/04 with an order confirmation date of 3/11. Customer support has offered no delivery details and admits they have no information. Who at Sonos can tell me when my order will ship?
Using LG Oled and AppleTV - I replaced Sonos Beam with two Play 5 gen 2 white speakers and Sub as room 2. I added Sonos Port as Room 1. Using HDMI 2 ARC , the Oled Audio is fed to an HDMI to analog converter that uses rca to send the LG sound to the Port line in. Set up was easy and I use Port as room1 then add stereo paired room 2. Music apps sound amazing ! Controlling volume and mute with Apple TV remote works perfectly. Opening the Sonos App and adding rooms / changing volume etc works the same as with the Beam. Using the App I can visually see and hear the volume changes as I make them. When using the Apple TV remote to change volume … change is heard but the Sonos App volume sliders remain in place. Sonos Port line in volume changes are not displayed in Sonos App. Also I first tried a Sonos Connect but it is not supported in the current Sonos App.
I store my music files on my PC and when I view the music library by artist I have a lot of artist names with only one or two tracks each on a compilation. They are contributing artists. I there a way I can change the library settings so that contributing artist is ignored.
There’s about a million other threads on this. I’d love to know what the official solution is if there is one. I haven’t seen anyone from Sonos owning up to the problem and giving out a solution (unless I’m missing it?). The Beam will not play audio with a Samsung TV. It will, but only briefly and when the TV goes to sleep and comes back on it doesn’t play through the Beam anymore. This has been the most frustrating setup of any Sonos product I’ve ever had. They are usually very simple and user-friendly, but I have spent all day on this and it seems like many others have as well. Got this as a Christmas gift and feels like I just wasted $500.
I got a Play 5 recently and have been trying to play from my record player on it via aux, I'm currently living in the dorms at uni and am unable to connect to wifi to enable auto-play. I only want to use my speaker through my aux so I refuse to spend $50 on a travel router and never use it, my last option I believe is to use my hotspot from my phone to get the speaker setup and on autoplay so I can listen through aux but it hasn't been working and fails to connect and I need help getting it setup through hotspot. Thanks
What is the difference between Sonos ARC and Sonos ARC SL (shadow edition)
I’m powering two outdoor Speakercraft One speakers and would like to connect an outdoor sub with the connect amp. Does any have a suggestion of an outdoor subwoofer that pairs well with the connect amp? Thanks!
Setting up a large room 25’ x 50’. 85” TV monitor at one end 25’ wide. Ceilings are 16’. Considering:ARC Sub G32 Fives on either side of TV2 One SLs as rear surroundsThe Fives are mainly for music, but would like to use with TV and ARC if possible. Want the Sub to work at all times. Will this set up work for a large room? Would a second Sub make sense in such a large space?
As the title states, are there any Sonos products with a coaxial input?
Hi all.All of my local stations appear to be in Ulster, Northern Ireland. I live in Leeds, Yorkshire, UK.My address on my account is set correctly.Any ideas? Many thanks
Hi. How and what is the best way to connect Sonos Connect to an A/V Processor ? Do I need to use TOSLINK® optical audio cable or a digital coaxial cable ? How to use the Processor’s DAC ( Not the Sonos ) to hear best Audio as my Processor is preferred. I am adding my A/V Back panel , Don't know where to connect the cables. Thank you.

I bought the sonos arc , ones for surround and the sub .I just got 1 Five can I connect it to my surround as a center channel or just so I could hear them all together or do I have to buy the 2 . If so I definitely need to return it if I need 2 to get it to work . Thank you
Hi everyone, I have read that the Arc is designed to go below the TV, that there are upward firing speakers for the Atmos support, that home cinema speakers should be positioned around ear height..But in my set up I have a TV on the wall above a gas log fireplace. There isn’t room to fit the Arc under the TV because it will be too close to the fireplace and will get too hot. My question is how bad will it be having the Arc above the TV? I’m an 80/20 kind of guy and probably don’t have an audiophile’s ear, so will I notice much difference? Thanks in advance!Gavin
I am redoing my garage and have an HD Projector mounted in the ceiling, sent to a 110” screen. Previously, I had hard wired speakers through my AVR, playing content from my FireCube. I purchased a new port and 2 new SL1s so that I could get rid of ALL the speaker cables for my 7.1 Setup. I know im sacrificing surround sound capability for ease, but I’m OK with that. I just can’t get sound to play through my new speakers. Any suggestions? Current setup:HDMI OUT of Fire Cube toHDMI IN - Sony AVR Video Mono Audio OUT to Sonos Port In. Help!>!?! Thank you! SCarolina Man
I use the SONOS app on iOS. When i deselect a speaker they all stop playing music or whatever and the app freezes and is unusable. Any suggestions or help would be useful. I had this system as it is supposed to be flexible etc and should not have to reboot the router or whole system every time i want to stop playing sound from a speaker.
My wife has some hearing problems. We have an Arc and still most of the time she has trouble hearing the dialogue. One of the problems may be that we sit very far away from the tv. I am now considering another Sonos for the table situated next to her. Hopefully something small and out of the way. What would you reccomend? Would this even help the situation?
Ive been reading that Sonos is designed to connect to TV’s, not so much to Projectors. This is my epson 2250 https://www.amazon.com/Epson-Projector-Streaming-Enhancement-Interpolation/dp/B08GL4GB2MI have a Sonos Amp with two ceiling speakers and soon to be sub. Nothing is installed at this time.I read in another thread that I can use this box https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Audio-Stereo-Extractor-Converter/dp/B07KRWYN4R/ and the optical audio adapter https://www.sonos.com/en-us/shop/optical-audio-adapter to hard wire sound from the projector to the Amp.My Epson projector works with Fire Stick, and has an extra hdmi out.Do i attach the box to the spare HDMI on the projector, or inline with the Firestick? Any of that make sense? Thanks.
Hi all!I’m about to dive in the Sonos ecosystem and buy the Arc + Sub Gen3 + Ones or Ones SL for surround satellites.Yet, I have one thing that keeps echoing in my head and gets me a bit reluctant: how well does that glossy finish of the Sub Gen 3 holds up with time?Being the sub a speaker that’s on the ground, it is prone to get hit in various situations, like when vacuuming the room, or other daily situations.I fear the glossy finish turns into a nightmare of scratches that would ruin the looks of it.How well does is cope with this?I deeply appreciate your inputs.
Hello all,I’m looking to improve the sound in my golf simulator room by using some of my spare Sonos play 1 speakers which I was hoping to link to my Denon 3700H AVR. I would be obliged if someone could take a look at the connections on the back of the AVR and advise whether this can be connected to a Sonos Port or similar and indeed how I would do so? Many thanks in advance.
Hi does this angle and distance to TV work for the upfiring speakers of the Sonos Arc? Thank you in advance!
