I have a play bar and two Sonos one surround speakers and the system was working fine for three years. The play bar is connected directly to the tv thru the tv audio connection. When the play bar is feed sound thru the tv, the rear surround speakers do not work, When you listen to music thru the app, all the speakers work. I have tried disconnecting and re connecting the speaker and this did not help. I have made sure the tv is in Dolby. Is is like my play bar will not talk to the surround speakers when feed by the tv. My next step was to do a factory reset but looking for other options?
App improvement suggestion…In the Sonos app, when searching Spotify, would it be possible to clearly differentiate an artists full length albums from their singles and other songs? The Spotify app itself has a ‘Show Discography’ button, that clearly shows all albums and the year they were released by an artist. This tiny change would make the app experience so much better. I often find myself having to go to the Spotify app to first confirm the latest album released by an artist, then going into the Sonos app to select it from (what appears to me to be) a jumble of songs - EPs, albums, singles - in no defined order. It does appear that, in the Sonos app, the latest release by an artist is the top result, but even a year next to this would help to confirm.
Dear Forum,i have 2 Beams in my house, 1 wants to connect to muic being shared to it, [just about] 1 doesnt.Beam 1 is on the same TV as an Apple TV and appears to want to use the ATV to have music shared to it as the Beam itself wont. So i share to the ATV which pops up. Is this normal and why wont my Beam take the music directly?Beam 2 will play music from the Sonos App but not from Apple Music app and shared to it?
Dear Forum,Any idea why 1 of 4 of my iOS devices wont login to Sonos S2 app? Simply says ‘Network Pronblem Detected’. There is no network problem as 3 other devices are logged into same app, and the rest of the network is operating fine.I have reset app rom with settings; nothing.i have delted app and reinstalled it, same issue.Any ideas?
Sonos should allow if you have a home theater setup like Arc, I can separate the Sonos one speakers if I want to use them somewhere else for a while. without having to do trueplay again every time, if in the end I put them back in the same place. the same for the sonos sub.I want to make a stereo pair with the sonos one and the sub, but if I do it even if I put the speakers back in their place, I have to do trueplay again to be able to join them again with the sonos arc.let users be able to detach their speakers and use them in other places and trueplay those speaker combinations and keep them without having to trueplay every time.
trueplay does a great job adjusting the mid and high frequencies but not the same with the bass, which is diluted in the mix prioritizing the mids and highs. Although the improvement is slight because the speaker that incorporates the sonos roam is very small and does not have the help of a passive radiator to improve the bass which cannot compete with the same size speaker from the competition. In my opinion the configuration of the sonos roam should have been like that of the sonos play3 but more compact and with passive radiators since its sealed configuration does not give it the necessary water to generate better bass if we cannot see a soundlink mini with 2 small speakers generating better bass than roam.I will try a flip 6 to compare the bass to see how it goes.
This might interest Sonos support people. Sonos app, S2 started acting up in the past two months where it would suddenly close for no apparent reason. It would do it once a day. Then few times a day and finally, 5 seconds after opening it. It was unusable. I checked the event logs and found these message ‘Faulting module name: KERNELBASE.dll’ pointing to Sonos as the originator. I contacted Sonos and strangely, they were not very interested in it but instead asked me to contact Microsoft. We all know how it would end. Microsoft would ask to contact whoever wrote S2 app and put some garbage in it. It’s normal. I would do the same. So, I ended up reinstalling the entire Windows 10. I wanted to start from clean. It worked fine the first day. Then, it started again. Maybe every hour. I checked this forum and found one post mentioning how to make sure that Sonos works smooth (it’s not that it helped my problem but pointed me in a right direction). I didn’t find anything wrong with my setup b
If Sonos support ever looks at this - have your CEO Patrick Spence check into my Support Confirmation Number 390788938.Even your support page that says to “click here” to email our CEO directly does NOT work.I would love to have the CEO in my house tonight contacting his support staff - this whole thing is a horrible, frustrating nightmare and a $2,000 mistake. NEVER buy or even think about Sonos ARC.It just doesn’t stay connected and the Sonos app must have been written by high school students.
I want to listen my cd and LP with sonos system what kind of stero I have to buy? I don't want to use cable but connect the steeo with Sonos in WI-FI way
I have an outside TV streaming with a Roku stick. I also have 2 Sonos Play:1 speakers (stereo) mounted outside (covered and removed in winter). How can I connect the TV audio (mounted and covered on a brick exterior wall) connected to the Sonos system to be able to listen to the TV audio on the Play:1 speakers?
I have a Sonos Connect:Amp (Gen 1), I wanna make the change to S2. Can I buy a Sonos port, (instead of, AMP) and control the existing Connect:Amp (Gen 1) to power the speakers? Or do I need to buy the AMP?
I want to have a speaker in my bedroom, living room and pool and all work together wirelessly. What do I need?
Hi all , just got a LG 43UP81006LR and the remote doesn't control the volume on the beam 2 , hdmi CEC is on and connected via arc , anyone any ideas ? Thanks
Hi all. I’m looking for some help, thanks in advance. We have 2x play 1’s, playbar, & a 3rd gen sub in our lounge, we use this for Spotify & tv, but I mainly use them for playing records on a Rega P6 via a Sonos port. I have a pair of Sony WH-1000xm4’s which I would like to connect to the port, via a Bluetooth transmitter. could anyone recommend what I need to get? (I may consider a headphone amp, if that’s the best route)Cheers Ratty
When will bbc sounds application be available in Sonos outside of the UK? The app is available worldwide for download so it should not be geo restricted. I know it’s available for UK users why can’t it be made available in North America? Is this something that is being looked into?
I have woken up this morning and launched the new Placebo album, "Never Let Me Go" via my Samsung S21 Ultra Sonos App. I looked to see what the current track title was and noted that it was still displaying the opening track. I checked on my Kindle and that is continuing to show the correct current track ( three changes since I found the Android issue)

I have 4 sonos 1 speakers spanning 3 generations: 1x Play:11x Sonos one,2x Sonos one SL I have routine connectivity issues, with speakers dropping intermittently and from time to time an inability to connect to 1 or more speakers. I will sometimes be able to stream direct from Apple Music to one of the speakers but at the same time the speaker will not show up in the Sonos app. I recently upgraded my network router to a mesh router in order to try and stabilize my connection and improve security. this seems to have had no impact. Any help you can provide would be great.
If i tourn off the microphone and Put the volumen at 50% , I can reach 10 hours of battery life.My question because this happens, maybe there is some excessive use of processing that drains the battery when the microphones are turned on. or is trueplay the cause or some bug in the software?n the manual it does not say anything about the energy consumption if I put a voice assistant or if I use trueplay. they only say that it lasts 10 hours with the volume at 50%Another thing, if it were that trueplay spends so much energy, they should put the option to do it once when the user decides it and not that it is on constantly. nobody is going to be moving a horn so many places. The battery usage of these active functions may not be correctly calculated.*my advice to sonos roam users, turn off the mic if you want longer battery life.*The new Sonos Roam SL confirms my theory. The same speaker with the same 17wh battery but without the microphone, equals longer battery life.
Team, I have had the suite of Sonos products for coming on 6 years now and I’ve always had automatic system updates switched off so that when an update does come out, I can see what is being updated and choose when to update it.Your support page says that we have the option to switch off automatic updates, so please when I then get system update messages in the app, stop giving me a dialogue box to enable automatic updates. I should be able to hit the message at the top telling me an update is available and have the option to update straight away from there.
Merci Elaine
In the app my roam shows as offline and occasionally it decides to show itself! Is anyone else having this problem? Oh, and the battery life is horrendous so far. If it doesn't improve very soon I suppose I'll have to take it back. Can anyone recommend a good Alexa enabled speaker for the bathroom?? 😳
I have a Sonos 5 which works fine with my turntable. As the turntable is in a large room, I also bought two Sonos 0ne sl speakers to group with the Sonos 5. Although the Ones work by themselves and show up on the app, when I try to group them with the Sonos 5, I get the message that the product can’t be found. I’ve reset them several times to factory default but always get the same message.Appreciate any help.
I can add a song to a playlist, including a song playing on, for example: pandora to my playlist. But I can’t add the station I set up on Pandora to my play list.this seems like an obvious use case, WHY didn’t you provide that functionality?
We are about to do an outdoor TV / audio set up. I just want to verify what I’ve learn and hopefully get some people’s input here. From what I’ve gathered…Option 1 - It sounds like we can either get a television that is bluetooth capable and then pair that with whichever individual speakers we would like.. correct?Option 2 - We can get a non-bluetooth TV and a Sonos sound-bar. Then additional speakers will connect via the soundbar. Any suggestions here? Is my thinking correct? Anyone have input as the best way to go in utilizing Sonos for an outdoor television set up? Thanks!
