I have a Sonos Connect:Amp (Gen 1), I wanna make the change to S2. Can I buy a Sonos port, (instead of, AMP) and control the existing Connect:Amp (Gen 1) to power the speakers? Or do I need to buy the AMP?

You will be better off buying the Sonos ‘Amp’ to replace the C:A that you have already, otherwise you will still need to use the S1 system and the C:A line-in (from the ‘Port’ line-out) to play anything from the S2 App.
