Hi All - Just started my journey into using Sonos following some research and guidance. I’ve purchased an Arc for TV viewing and impressed compared with flat screen speakers. However, I need to improve on the Music atmosphere in the same room as the Arc (base seems lacking for my taste for general Pop music). I know general guidance for music depends on what music you play so a good example is Kyrie by Mr Mister using Apple Music. This song has vocals, base, stage, etc. Question then, should I consider adding pair of Sonos One SL or Sub Gen 3 or some other configuration (reluctant to add both at this stage)? Thanks all for any feedback.
Tonight I hit the “Party Mode”. I will not get specific but there is a Sonos speaker all over the house. Except in the pool. Next to the pool yes. After saying hello to the neighbours and them something something, TURN IT DOWN!.. I decided to go to my headphones. Exit Sonos app and back to…. another app. I have read all the posts and the people saying that the app is a control centre, not sure for who, NASA or maybe SpaceX > “Starman Man”.. I just need to ask why? If I have Sonos speakers I use your app. If I had another companies speakers why would I open Sonos? Why can I not just use the same app for all of my music? My subscription is not with Sonos. Your blocking of local playback does nothing for your brand. It just makes me ask if I should look at Apple or Amazon. Their sound is not as good of course but sometimes I just want to listed to music. Yesterday via my Sonos speaker. Today via my headphones.
Is there a maximum number of times a single song can be repeated? I have a track which I want to loop and play all night. The track is stored on my device (android).Every night I start thr track and set it to repeat loop, it plays for 4 hours or so and then just stops. Same thing happens if I play the track through sound cloud. Does the Sonos app impose a maximum plays limit?
Thought this was a feagure of s2.
I want to be able to use my Roam as a bluetooth speaker connected to my Mac. I can pair it and everything works fine, except during the periods where I’m not playing music or generating computer audio, the Sonos disconnects from bluetooth and reverts to wifi. Is there any way to stop the roam from automatically disconnecting after periods of inactivity? It’s very annoying.
I am trying to figure out a way to get a Spotify playlist by an artist to show up in the native Sonos app so I don’t have to play it from the Spotify’s app. Absolutely driving me insane. Accidentally did it once but have no idea how I actually did it. I am an Apple Music guy so this is foreign. I have a Spotify free account. Went on the Spotify app and added the playlists to my library. They do not show up anywhere in the Spotify account on my Sonos app. It’s just generic Spotify generated crap. Adding it to Profile does nothing. I can Airplay it to the speakers and then it shows up as Recently Played in Sonos under Spotify. From there I have to add it in as Sonos Favorites and finally have access to it. That is about 4 steps to long. Any way to clean this up would be helpful.
Hello from France,When you put the soundbar at the front, all works well. When you put the soundbar at the back, the L/R audio are inverted. Is there any feature to revert the audio channel for a entire room ?If not, how to ask for a new feature ? This could be useful.Best regards,
I just got my Sonos Arc today and I’m loving it!I was just wondering if my Arc is too far from my TV (20 inches from bottom of TV) as Sonos recommends Atleast 4-6. If so, do you guys recommend wall mounting the Arc? Am I loosing any sound immersiveness? Currently the Arc is sitting below my sitting position so if I wall mount my Arc will it noticeably sound better. For reference my ceiling is 9ft and I'm sitting around 6.5ft away from the ArcAlso should the Arc be placed on the tip of the console like the pic attached or I can push it backward as it will look neater. My main use is for watching movies and TV shows so I would appreciate any setup improvement.
Hi, I’ve got a Beam Gen 2, sub mini & 2 One SL’s as surrounds. They’re working & sounding great. But on the S2 app under the Surround Audio setting page, the Surround Distance categories are not activated and no adjustments can be made. Have I done something wrong in the setup or has this category not activated for some reason.thanks, Mike.
Can 2 Roams be used as rear/surrounds with a Beam?
Hi.I’ve bought Philips TV. OLED806. I have Sonos Arc and Ones. And lip sync wasn’t correct. Adjusting to step 5 (the highest) helped a little. But it seems as it needs at least step 7. Or more.Is it possible to “hack” this setting to allow higher number? :)Thanks.Josef
Hey guys, so I’m a bit of a novice when it comes to this kind of stuff. I’ve searched a few times on here and I’ve been able to ascertain that the ARC can’t play DTS-HD tracks, but this is where I get a little lost.I have a LG CX OLED connected to a Panasonic 4K bluray player with a Sonos Arc + Sub + 2 x ones for surrounds. Trying to play Scream 2 4K which has a DTS-HD 5.1 track. The Sonos app says it is playing Multichannel PCM 7.1 and it sounds pretty awful. Very soft and not at all powerful. Am I doing something wrong ? Or is there a bit of a workaround ? Sorry I do appreciate that this has probably been asked ad nauseam but just feeling a little lost :(
I have Sonos Arc since 2020. and a playstation 4 pro. Sonos never worked with PS4 like its other straight-forward features. I wonder if there is anyone in the world has succeed connecting them? will there be any PS support come to Sonos? Since Sonos overrides settings and doesnt support PlayStation mutes everything; and the forgot putting a turn off button on it, i have to plug it off while playing PS Sonos drastically decreases my gaming comfort, fyi who has a PS and would like to consider buying Sonos system Moderator Note: Combined two posts so it doesn’t look like topic has been replied to already.
Requesting Sonos to have the option by end of 2022 to early 2023 to be able to install front right and left front speakers to a home theater setup to get dedicated right and left sounds from it's own front speakers.
I have surround system with Arc + 2x One SL. I have already Trueplay-tuned that system with my Iphone 14 Pro Max, which has iOS 16.0.2. Now I have recently added also Sub Mini to that system without any problems, but when I try to Trueplay-tune the whole system, I get error message that Iphone is not supported ??? Any idea, what could be the problem and silution ?
I have a projector, Arc, Amp and 2 Subs. I had purchased an HDFury Arcana and had nothing but issues with the unit their tch support helped as much as they could. So I purchased a new Epson projector, LS12000, with eARC. Source is a 4K Apple TV.The CEC works perfect from the Epson remote control. The system is now reliable enough for my family to use. I’ve also remapped, using Pro Control, a Lutron Pico to control the projector and lighting in the room. One button turns on the projector and lighting and another turns everything off. Next, I’ll be looking to hack the Atmos and install in ceiling speakers and use the internal amplifiers, hopefully it’ll offer better sound.
Any advantages to Toslink/Optical or Coaxial connection for using an external DAC with a Sonos Connect?
Hey everyone, I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to all things sound. Love my Sonos system and just got the mini sub for my Beam + One setup. I’m struggling to figure out where to place it in the room. The best spot space wise is on my entertainment unit behind the TV.I know it’s not perfect, but how much bass quality am I losing with that placement? Thanks!
I just bought me a Sonos Beam (Gen 2). Attached to my LG tv via HDMI Arc.When listening to TV everything is fine. But streaming form Netflix, HBO the sound is very hard to control. When I turn op the volume to listen to the voices, then the Music and sound effects is way to high. Going the other way around, turning volume down for music and sound, I can’t hear the voices.I have tried enhanced speak and night mode, but that does not help. It’ s like the sound and music is 3-4 times higher that the voices.Very annoying especially late at night trying to watch a movie without waking up people sleeping.Any suggestions? Otherwise I have to turn it back, I can’t live with it as is.
We all know the complaints and issues with the sound profile being changed on the Sonos Arc through recent updates. The majority of people picked this product based on its sound profile and most likely listened to the set up in the store, friend or family's house, etc. Changing the sound profile on the product after its been purchased without giving an option to keep it as original as absolutely ridiculous. The product was bought. Changing it without the ability to remain the same or change it back to how it was at purchase is sooooo odd that I have to wonder what they were thinking. I think we have waited more than enough for a "fix" or way to return it to before. Something needs to be don't and soon.
Hello my fellow Sonofiles,I own a BEAM which I set up just in front of my TV. I use it mostly with the TV, but also occasionally for music with AirPlay, mostly rock and jazz. I am very pleased with the audio quality.I have been thinking lately of adding 2 ONE’s, in the back of the room, left and right. The idea is to pair them with the Beam, and play together. The thing is, the financial effort would be substantial and I want to be sure it would be worth it.So the question is: adding two ONE’s to my BEAM, do I get a substantial improvement over just the BEAM, for both the TV and music, or not? Please share your opinions if you have been in my situation.Thank you.
It appears that the recent Sonos update, 13.1, is broken with regards to non-ASCII characters in files when updating the library. I have a job that daily generate 30 playlists, and the format of the name of the playlists is Pnn Artist - Albuim.m3u. They are located on a NAS from Synology that I have had for quite a few years. For instance, there is a file of which the name is P05 - Järngustav - Tiden läker inga sår.m3u. But in the Windows controller, this appears as P05 - Jrngustav - Tiden lker inga sr.m3u. In the Windows controller I see a square with a cross in instead of the å and the ä. Another example is P23 Cicala Mvta - Live at 磔磔- 結成20周年記念.m3u. Here all Kanji characters comes out as question marks. And it is not only matter of prettiness; when I open the list, there is nothing there, and I can’t put it into the queue. This was working without problem until yesterday, until it was broken. It obviously needs to be fixed - and fixed soon!
Received my Sonos mini sub. Set it up, power light is on, no difference to the music? Anyone with any ideas. NICK
Hi, can I connect Sonos Five with a turntable to my existing Sonos One (stereo pair) and still keep the stereo function as shown in the picture below?
Hello friends,Unfortunately, today I'm saying goodbye to the LG C1 screen that served me faithfully, since I'm moving to a super bright living room, so the OLED will not having great affect with daylight.I ordered a Samsung QN90B and I have a full Sonos system (Arc, subwoofer and 2 speakers)From a short reading on Dr. Google I understood that there is a problem with Sonos and Samsung.Does anyone have that setup and/or the same style like the one I bought and can share their experiences of using both products together?I would love to receive any recommendation on the subject!
