Talk Sonos Products

Hello, I’m going to put a Sonos solution into the first floor of my house.  It’s essentially open concept and I can’t determine if I should just get a pair of 5’s in the living room area, or split everything up with a bunch of 1’s and a sub (put under couch).  My set up thoughts are outlined in the following image.  Red is 5 placement, Green is the 1 placement. Location of 5’s would be in a built-in bookshelf.   Any recommendations on which route to pursue?  Majority of listening will happen in kitchen and living room.   

Hi! I am interested in buying a Sonos Beam 2 abroad in Australia, as it has much better pricing than what's available locally where I am based. But of course the challenge will be getting it home on the plane. Ideally would handcarry this in it's packaging, but I think it's a little too long for carryon dimensions both boxed or unboxed. I think it should be able to fit in checked baggage for sure unboxed, but of course that eats up a lot of space. Has anyone actually tried transporting a Sonos Beam via plane before?

When I turn my TV on the volume is always on low so nothing can be heard, even if it was previously on loud. I have an Sonos Arc connected to an LG TV. This also happens if the tv is paused for a prolonged time, the sound goes back to a minimum. Any idea how I can fix this?

Hi AllI have a weird issue that has just started, I have three Sonos items, Sonos SL in my office and bedroom, then a sonos port connected to a multiroom system.The three are setup on the app as separate rooms, i could play music through Sonos Radio or Spotify to any individual room, now the issue i have is if i slect the port on its own i get a cannot connect or cannot add to queue error dependant on if it is radio or spotify.If i select either of the other two SL speakers they work fine, I can then add port as an additional source and it also plays….I power cycled the three speakers, Sonos would not then play on anything, I reset my router, uninstalled the apps on my phone, reinstalled the apps still the same.Factory reset the SL speakers and I am now back to the speakers working fine but the port still not working standalone, the port will also not factory reset….i get a flashing amber/ white but not green, it returns to white, I have also disab

I have a number of devices in my house (Arc, Beam, Amps, Ones,...). Some are in my living room, dining room, TV room, each kid’s rooms, gym, patio,… I would like to limit the ability of kid 1 to connect to device in kid 2’s room (accidental or on purpose). Basically I would like to give my kid 1 access to sonos in their room and TV room. Kid 2 to sonos in their room and TV room. For me and wife I would like unlimited access to all sonos devices including Kid1 and Kid2 room systems. I don’t see this ability in the sonos app. I can’t believe that sonos has not invested some resources in to this feature. How can customers put in a feature request?

I just want to share my frustration with this brand and its complicated products. I mean, I spent hundreds of dollars on a Roam and Move, and the price led me to assume the product would come with the craftsmanship, ease of use, durability, and features that other similar brands come with. Well, my move no longer works. Out of frustration, I opened it up and... Yada Yada Yada. ... My roam works alright when I invest a couple of hours to charging it and sitting staring at it and waiting for the damn light to go from orange then white. But I digress, I was working on my food truck the other day, and I forgot I had it outside. I woke up and rushed outside only to find it exactly where I had left it. No one took it :( I left an expensive ass speaker outside, on a main street,  and no one even wanted it.   

Subject line pretty much sums it up. Trueplay “loses” speaker. They’re all there making noises.  Arc, sub + 2 play:3’s.  i know this subject has been addressed before, but the Sonos ppl shut it down before useful advice appears. (Why do they do that? Just leave it open until the problem is solved.) 

I would like to know what band of wifi does the sonos speakers use. 2.4 or 5?

Hi everyone, I have a Sonos One and a Sonos One SL, I want to connect them through Wi-Fi to my Samsung TV the frame. Is it possible with Sonos Boost ? Or only with a soundbar like Ray? 

As title. Can login on the web version (hence i can write this question!), but can’t login to use my Andriod app. I have reset the password multiple times, have uninstalled the app, have reset the app, have tried to set up a new account… None of these things worked.   Help please! Many thanks 

Hey team. We have 8 speakers connected to reception and treatment rooms. A few irritating issues we can’t troubleshoot. 1.  Our clinic iPad app refuses to connect to the speakers despite being logged onto the same system. 2.  Most of the rooms are connected to the “helm”. One or two therapists play their own playlists in their room via their phones. When they connect to just that speaker, the whole system either stops or goes haywire. 3.  Sometimes we get an unstable internet connection for the system despite the rest of the internet and the solo connected therapists not having an issue. 4.  When songs connect, they play for 5 seconds then skip to another song. Mumford and sons isn’t supposed to sound like EDM. Please help. Appreciation in advance.

The Sonos app seems to have been updated and has put Sonos radio at the top of my search results instead of Spotify. How can I revert back or better still remove the Sonos radio all together?

I frequently want to search for music from specific record labels. In Spotify this is very easy. I can search for label:universal and then I will see music from Universal Music.If I use the Sonos app (on Android in my case) the same search criteria returns nothing.I would expect the Sonos app to allow me to do the same search as I can in Spotify.Is this a bug/feature missing in the Sonos app? 

Hi, I’ve been experiencing a bug on my Sonos One players recently.I’ll select a song that I want to play using the Sonos controller app and then select the repeat song button (tapping the repeat button twice so that the icon with the 2 arrows and the ‘1’ inside the circle appears). The song will play normally during the first playthrough, but after that, the song always skips after the first 19 seconds (this is very consistent). Sometimes an error will display in the Sonos app about an unsupported encoding, sometimes nothing shows up.I’ve used both the iOS app and the macOS app and get the same results. FWIW, the song is this one from Spotify.My workaround is to create a playlist with at least 2 songs and then have that playlist play on repeat, which for whatever reason seems to stop the bug from happening.An

Future request.I would like the option to lock the entire groups volume, so that adjusting the volume on any grouped speaker would adjust the volume for the entire group. This would work in the same way as the master volume in the app does. As far as I know, this is not possible now?

I have a Arc with sub and 2 ones in one room and a pair of fives with sub in another room. In the room where the fives are I would like to adjust the crossover frequencies, but seems like this isn’t possible. Why? This is the first system I have owned with a sub where it isn’t possible to adjust the crossover.

I’m investigating an upgrade of my existing home theater to Sonos and would love some guidance on options.Setup:Traditional Pioneer Amp 2 front, 1 center, 2 rear and a sub all hard wired Apple TV connected into Amp Xfinity ‘box’ connected into Amp TV connected HDMI into Amp All sound for TV goes through amp 2 outside wired speakers connected through ampI would love to use all my existing stuff but happy to part with my old amp.I would love to have the ability to play something on the TV and something else on my outdoor speakers. Thoughts?

Has anyone noticed that when you choose 'All Artist Tracks' from Amazon Music it only shows the first Album in the library, rather than all of them?

I moved into a house that had 5 ZP120s wired to different ceiling speakers throughout the house.  I talked to a pro installer and he said I had to replace all of them to get the speakers to work.  I would really like to avoid that, at least for now.  Should I be able to use those existing amps?  Do I need to reset them and use the S1 app?  Are there any guides for making use of inherited/second hand Sonos equipment?  I’ve seen some confusing information about whether those devices are still viable or not.  Thanks!

Hello! My outdoor space has an amp and 4 Sonos architectural/outdoor speakers installed.  I really need just one more speaker, but 6 would be too much (from a visual/ symmetry perspective)  I know an amp can drive 6 architectural / Sonos speakers, but what happens if I only plug in 5? Does that create an imbalance issue with the ohm load? Thanks!

Hi,I find that with the amazon music apps, rarely, but sometimes the sound increases by itself by about 40%, and most often it is 5 seconds before the end of a song. Problem between Amazon and Sonos system? Just Amazon streaming service problem? What do you think about that?Thanks 

I have been having MAJOR issues since February 2022 related to SONOS Playlist appearing and disappearing from the iPhone APP. I have an open case and have worked with technical support and no resolution has been found. This use to work with S1 hardware but since updating to S2 it has not worked correctly.When will this be fixed?

.: Hello. I am a Sonos newbie, this is my first post, and I am not very tech-savvy when it comes to sound systems. Recently, a friend guided me through the purchase of an LG 65” 4K tv and a Sonos Arc sound bar. I would like to add a turntable with pre-amp and a DVD/CD player to my sound system, but as best I can tell, one cannot do this with the Arc. I’ve perused the Sonos site to try to get a better understanding of what component(s) I would need to add, and the more I search, the more confused I find myself.Ultimately what I would like to do is have the outputs from my turntable (old, not wifi-enabled) and my DVD player (wifi-enabled) play through the Arc (if that’s even possible), and/or through wireless speakers, like the One SL. I gathered from my searching that I would also need the Amp. From what I can see looking at the back of the Amp, only one device requiring RCA cables can be attached to it. If this is the case, would I need two Amps, one for the turntable and one
