Hi!I recently deleted my Music Library settings on the Sonos app on my Windows PC because of a change of USB drive. Now I cannot add my music files back because, although I can browse to the folder in Windows File Explorer and I can see the music folders on the USB drive, the OK button is greyed out in the Sonos app and I cannot select that location. If I plug the same USB drive directly into my Windows PC, the app is happy to accept it.Any help you can offer to a very inexperienced user would be greatly appreciated.

I moved to a new house with an existing Sonos soundbar and an Sub Woofer that was connected to a smart home system (i could not set up Sonos System by myself yet) the house has built in speakers with an 5 different zones (10 cables). Is there a Sonos Amp I can get to connect these cables and the existing speakers to be controlled by the Sonos App? it seems all the amps only connect one physical output.
Bonjour,Pouvons-nous avoir deux comptes séparés sur un seul WIFISalutations
As a loyal Sonos consumer, beta tester and unofficial sales rep over the last 15 years, I have maintained that SonosNet had been, until now, one of the top reasons I recommend the brand. In a world full of poor ISP routers, mesh networks, and increased messy wifi poloution, having a dedicated music network has proven time and time gain to be an incredible, reliable and unique consumer rewarding technology. With the introduction of the Eras I got excited to rotate in some new upgrades. First in the door was a couple Era 300s. First step was to start some side by side comparisons. Play ones in the bathrooms first. In bathroom #1 the first era wouldn’t stay available in the app, so on to era 300 #2 in bathroom #1, same issue. It was strange as the One has worked no problem in there for years. I took the usual trouble shooting step and nothing helped. On the bathroom #2 which also has had and One in it for years without issues. Same problem Era 300s won’t stay available in app and then go
We have had an Arc SL for several months. Once it got warmer, and our central AC unit started kicking on, we noticed that the sound would cut out any time the AC came on. Facts from testing: source doesn’t matter; TV, appleTV, AirPlay from phones, even if that’s all off and Sonos Radio is playing. If the AC kicks on, the if the TV is on we see the volume drop to 0. Wait 10-15 seconds, and we can turn it back up. If airplay, the audio stops and it looks like it’s disconnected from the source. If Sonos radio, the song just stops and volume has dropped. We thought it might be a signal from the central AC (ie wireless signal/interference from the thermostat), but we had the whole unit and thermostat replaced 3 days ago (yay for AC breaking in the middle of the summer) and it’s still happening, even with the new old-school wired thermostat. I’ve connected the Sonos power to an external battery, and it happens with that, too (ie isn’t subject to power surge from the AC). thoughts?
Hi all,I am running a playbase with 2 1s as surround with a mid-tier 4 year old Samsung tv. I’d love to be able to watch bluerays and dvds on my setup, but in the past it has seemed to be impossible to do.Does anyone know of a blueray player that would allow me to do this? Ideally I’d be able to watch with DTS or DD, but really anything that would give me DD or something resembling surround sound when I do it would do.Thanks
I have a broken beam gen1 Sonos have agreed to replace. Will they replace with a gen 2?
Today there was an issue with The Sonos BBC Sounds service, the App threw an error station not available. I see that there was a status post on status.sonos.com. This shows all the services and status of all services.I’m thinking could this be intelligently integrated in the App?eg I try to play something on a Music service, it fails. The error provides a link to status.sonos.com for that specific service if there is an outage at the time the user is trying to play service.Only link if there is an error playing and there is also a known outage.Could avoid customer frustration disabling services / re enabling services, support calls etc.
Where can I download S2 software for my Sonos One, iPhone 13 ProMax? The App store for iPhone list to many options.Bob
I am about to replace a Bose Home Speaker 500 with Sonos. And here begin all my doubts...I live in a studio of 30 square meters and I use the speaker to listen to music mainly. I give importance to bass, although I don't have the budget for a Sub Mini yet. With a budget of around 500/600 Euros, I have the doubt of whether to start buying a Sonos Era 300 or two Sonos Era 100. For comfort and space at home, a single Sonos Era 300 is better for me today, but I want to invest in a Sonos system that is worth expanding in the future.I'm not the first person to ask about this, but I'm not clear on the answers. Maybe it's better to buy a single Era 300 and invest in a few years in a [second Era 300] instead of buying [two Era 100s today + Beam (2nd Gen) in the future]?Thank you!
I like classical music and am used to a short silence between tracks but Sonos seems to merge each track with the end of the previous track. How can I make a gap between tracks? I have Sonos Play 5 speakers but feel this is an issue in the software.
Is it possible to add a Sonos Roam to multiple Sonos WiFi systems?I recently purchased a Roam and took it with me on a road trip. My in-laws have a Sonos system and I wanted to add my Roam to their system so I could get all of the benefits of using Roam over WiFi instead of Bluetooth. However, the only way I could get the Roam to connect to their system was to reset it to factory and set up the Roam as a new speaker in their Sonos system. When I came home I had to repeat the process by resetting to factory and adding it back to my Sonos system. The feature I’d love to see is the ability to add a Roam to a second Sonos system over WiFi without having to remove it from an existing Sonos system. Ideally, after initial setup, the switch between Sonos systems would be done automatically based upon the connected WiFi network.
So my sonos playlists keep randomly disappearing for days then reappearing. Then having got fed up today I did a lot of googling and found a workaround in this forum. This happens at the same time on all control remotes - 2 iPhones and 2 iPads.I followed the suggestion of going for sonos radio, learn more - just on one remote app. Then go back to home Menlo and behold all playlists appeared on ALL devices!!!!I have a sonos 3 as my control direct connect device….clearly a ‘hub’ software problem. Been there for more than 2 years now… please read this and figure it out please.
I have just moved into a house that has some sonos speakers in the ceiling hard wired to a legacy amp. we have got them up and running using the S1 app but after a while realised one of the pair is playing very softly and tinny. I have swapped cables at the amp end and there is no change so assume it is to do with the speaker. the wiring to that looks on so what might the issue be?
The station “61 Blues” is connecting vie radio.net with Sonos, showing “On now” and title of played song. But no sound to hear!!!What can I do or where can I stream “61 Blues” station in Sonos. I already reinstalled radio.net service. And the station is running well in the internet! Thanks for your supportRudolf
Is there an opportunity to lock everywhere “on” so that when I turn on my TV everything will automatically follow?
I have about 20 Sonos speakers in my house, so I’m very into the ecosystem… the roam makes me want to never buy another Sonos product. My roam lasted about a year… just out of warranty… when the battery died. It’s now a paper weight. I refuse to drop another $180 for a product that will last about a year and then it goes in the trash. This is a widespread, well known issue. It’s unfathomable that Sonos doesn’t offer either a battery replacement service or a discontinued whole unit replacement. Either offer the service or ripping everyone off by selling the roam.
HelloI want to output tv sound (via eArc port) to 2 x Sonos One’s as I cannot install a soundbar. Will using a Sonos Amp allow me to do this?
Hi, I am about to buy an unused PLAY:5 2nd gen. Could I check the serial number is it legit?Thank you :) Moderator edit: removed serial number
If I try to play a short .wav file, ie less than 45 KB, the speaker crashes and disconnects from the network.Anything above 50 KB or so seems to work. This is happening with all types of speakers including Play:5, Five, Play:1 and Amp.This is something new but I’m not sure exactly when the trouble started. I am currently on 15.2.1Has anyone else noticed this?
I have a new pair of Sonos five’s that I will be using in a large kitchen with vaulted ceiling. I was originally going to go with in wall speakers with a sonos amp, but I promised my wife I’d try not to cut the walls if possible. The only good place to put them is on top of the kitchen cabinets on either side of the stove. I’m assuming a vertical placement would be best for stereo imaging. My other decision is whether to use the flexson wall mounts to angle them down a bit or to simply mount them on top of the cabinets facing forward. Does it matter or can the built in room correction fix it? I have an old play:5 up there to see how it will work and it sounds OK, but a bit muddy.
I’m using an ARC and 2 Era 300 in my 15’x16’ bedroom. I like watching TV to fall asleep to, so usually the volume is pretty low, although there are times that I watch at normal volume. I’ve kinda noticed at low volume, the sound from the ARC has lost it’s fullness since adding the 2 Era300s. Do I need to add a sub to regain the some fullness from the ARC? If so, will the Mini be sufficient?
