Hi, we have purchased 2 Era100 and set them up outside. They are undercover and won’t get wet.But we are wondering how they will go with condensation due to cold weather? I see can they withstand humidity but nothing is mentioned about condensation. thanks
Hello I have 2 Sonos ones & 1 Sonos SL. I want to get a turntable with phono preamp built in and a Sonos Era 100 to play it out of. Will the turntable play out of all my existing Sonos one/SL once it’s connected to the Era? And play records throughout the house. Or just through the Era and nothing else? Thanks very much Joe
I'm thinking about getting the Sonos Beam as I'm mostly looking to upgrade my TV speakers/current cheap soundbar (Samsung HW-N400). So I'm looking for an allrounder that I can use for streaming, standard TV program and movies. The Sonos Beam seems to match that requirements though I'm unsure if it works for my room layout. I'm living in a studio apartment (without terrace it's about 42 sqm and if I take out bathroom and corridor its probably around 34 sqm for the main room). See following link to the room layout. I just added the bed (from where I'm watching mainly from) and the TV. To the left there is the closet. To the right is the couch, desk, dinning table and in the top right is the kitchen.Distance to TV is around 3,5 meters. Wall to the left is close but wall to the right is several meters away. Does the Sonos Beam work with such a room layout? Since I would prefer not to spend more than 500€ the Arc is beyond that budget and from what I’ve read I’m not sure if it’s worth double
Sonos should introduce an “album of the week” to Sonos Radio - one album each week that’s available to stream front to back. The album can be of any genre and from any decade, it just has to be a classic.I’d personally love this feature as I love listening to albums but with music streaming today it can often be difficult to settle on what to listen. It would also be a great way to expand your listening to albums you’d otherwise have never listened to.Could be exclusive to Sonos Radio HD.
I have been scouring the Internet for a solution. I upgraded from an older Orbi mesh network to the Orbi 960 quad band. The upgrade definitely was an improvement to my home’s Wi-Fi. It felt like a downgrade for my Sonos set up. I have two sound zones set up for whether I am in the pool or on the patio and whether I am watching the projector or the television. For when in the pool, I have two amps for front and rear speakers. I also have two roams near the rear speakers so I can give Alexa commands and so I can enjoy television late at night without disturbing the neighbors. I initially had two Orbi satellites and then added a third satellite outside to try to fix the issue with my speakers not grouping. Having read that strong Wi-Fi was better than SonosNet, I refused to think of wiring a speaker as an option. I was wrong. I wired an old Sonos one to my Orbi 960 router, which is in AP mode. Problem solved. My speakers group incredibly quickly, and I can once again listen to TV or
Hello everyone, My current set up: Sonos Arc SL, Apple TV (latest gen) and an LG OLED65CXPUA. I also have the latest HDMI cables. Issue: TV will turn off randomly at times, most notably when watching YouTube TV. Sometimes it will make a buzzing noise and the TV turn itself off and at times it will take a couple minutes to come on. Other instances it will come back on in 30 seconds. I have tried everything under the sun to try and fix this issue. Turned off CEC, turned off EARC, switched HDMI cables and even ports, power cycle, etc. I’ve come across other TV such as Sony and Samsung having similar issues even without an Apple TV. Was there a recent update that broke something with the connection with other devices? This makes watching anything almost unbearable. I would say within an hour of watching TV the does its little reset at least twice and as much as 4 times. If anybody has a solution or a possible way to roll back a certain update please let me know. Thanks.
I have my amp setup as surround speakers with my arc. For music playback I would like to switch to the amp speakers only (I.e. have a third option such as „front surround only“ besides „ambient“ and „full“)I know that this is not possible yet. But as the feature has been requested so many times since multiple years: is there any timeline from Sonos on this? I don’t think this should be to hard to implement… Thanks!
I use a perfectly serviceable Apple 5 phone and refuse to change it. Now I cannot configure my large collection of Sonos products because Sonos no longer support this devise.I get that is the case but come on Sonos why are you switching off functionality to old systems??I used to highly recommend Sonos but I’m not so inspired now.
We have a pair of sonos speakers in the lounge paired in stereo, One & One SL, voice controlled by an Amazon Echo Dot, did try with the built in mic on the Sonos One but it didnt work that well, works great with the Echo Dot. I have just looked at buying another pair the same to use in another room and was dissapointed to see Sonos no longer sell them, i have looked everywere for some but just cant fine any for sale. There are a lot on Ebay but i am reluctant to buy from Ebay, past issues with purchases. The Era seems my only option, they are a bit pricey though, can they be paired in stereo, i see they have a in line connection, could i connect a compact disc player to them and play music in Stereo, i have a LOT of cds and being able to play them again on a decent speaker would be a bonus. i keep looking on Sonos Refurbished just in case they put any One’s or SL’s for sale. Any help or advise appreciated
I have been running on Sonos 1 for probably 7-8 yrs now-haven’t claimed upgrade credits yet and am hoping someone is just willing to give me advice about what to purchase. I “inherited” the system and love it but just am not technical-but enjoy the benefits of the system greatly. I haven’t claimed upgrade credits yet and want to use wisely. This is what I’ve got:Great room - Playbar, Sub, two Play 1 in surroundKitchen - Play 3Bedroom - Wired in-ceiling pair, non-Sonos amp, ConnectOffice - Play 1Bathroom - Wired in-ceiling, non-Sonos amp, Connect (note-hasn’t gotten audio from this for years)(I also have two Bridges not hooked up-no idea what that’s about…)I purchased a great deal on two Roams with plans to use one in lieu of the non-working bathroom speaker and one to be flexible for my deck, basement, garage, etc.Low cost solution to my non-working bathroom. BUT FAIL - It only works with Sonos 2. I don’t want to run them on a separate version, and if I would rather not knock out my be
I’ve managed to aquire 3 old ZP100s which are still in working order. I have added them to my system but they aren’t showing in the upgrade pages. Are they part of the upgrade program or is there any way to check if they have already been used for this.
Have a Playbar, no issues. Not sure if upgrading to Beam2 or Arc would be improvement. we are seniors.
i am wondering if i can add a sonos sub gen3 to a setup with a sonos sub mini before i buy it.
I won’t repeat what MANY have described in detail and (for years) regarding the Sonos app’s inability to shuffle >500 music service songs. My question is rather straightforward..what is Sonos doing to fix this long-standing issue? And why do Sonos support reps not understand this major software issue and are able to acknowledge it even without a fix? BTW and working in software myself, this feature gap seems something Sonos should prioritize. This is something one shouldn’t encounter with a premium brand. Frankly I’m a bit embarrassed having invested thousands of dollars outfitting my new home with 11 Sonos speakers.
I have 4 Play 1 speakers, I also have a projectorI would love to be able to connect the sound from the project to at least two of the Play 1 Speakers. is there any recommendation, I am willing to buy Bluetooth receiver, streamer, etc.
The subject line says it all. I have been using Sonos 1 and SonosNet because my CR-200 is a heck of lot more convenient than messing with my cell phone every time I need to interact with Sonos. The problem now is that SonosNet has become more problematic with multiple dropouts. I was about an hour on the phone with tech support (thank you, Sonos) but to no avail. Rather than continue to troubleshoot this (and I’m sure there is ultimately a solution since it used to work flawlessly), I’ rather switch to WiFi if it’s more robust. Thoughts?
Long time Sonos user, Play 1’s, Play 5’s. Many years ago had issues, got them sorted out, stayed on S1 when S2 was released. Today when I opened the iOS app, got a “your system hasn’t been updated in 1 year, Sonos will not work until you update the app/system”. The system has been working fine largely because I haven’t installed any updates. Didn’t see anything in the forums, call Sonos Support & was “disconnected” when he was supposedly researching my question. How do I continue to use my Sonos system and the iOS app without being forced to install any updates ? Thanks
I want to create a new system with my Sonos Era 100 so I can move them to another room. My Sonos Era 100 both belong to other system I have in my living room. Is this possible?
I am having trouble connecting to my Play:3 so I attempted a factory reset. My steps:1. Unplug device2. Hold Play/Pause3. Plug in deviceIt flashes white for about 10s, then starts flashing amber. At that point I stop pressing Play/Pause. It the continues to flash amber pretty much forever... well I gave it 10m but I'm assuming it won't process to green. Please help if you have ideas! TY
Hello…..is it possible to charge a Roam speaker using a USB C connection? Not talking about the cable into the speaker, but the other end going into a charging port. The cable provided uses a USB A connection, and I would like use a USB C connection.
I have two outdoor Sonos speakers. If I place one on the backyard deck and one on the front porch, roughly 50ft away from each other, will the sound be good in both speakers? Or will the bass come from one and the treble from the other? Thanks
My old distributive amp died. I have 6 zones with two speakers each. What do I need in the way of Sonos hardware, to get this working?
How come YouSee suddenly stopped working in the app and how come you suddenly change my home country in my profile from Denmark where all my speakers are bought, to Netherlands?
Hi all. This may not make any sense but recently while playing CDs on a cheap DVD/CD player the sound cuts off periodically but ONLY when running through the line in of the port and ONLY when the port is set to Pass through from my pre amp. If I set the port to variable the music does not cut out. It should also be noted that on my metered pre amp the VU meters seem to always have a signal in that there is always movement. The CD player is connected to the pre amp via RCA cables and not into my pre amps DAC via coaxial cable as I am not sure my pre amp DAC works. Any ideas?
I use PocketCast to listen to podcasts. On the PocketCast app I set playback speed to 2x. But when I connect it to Sonos it only plays back at regular speed. How can I make the Sonos play it back at a faster speed?
