I am using Sonos One on a Mac. I make playlists using using Spotify, not Apple. There are two symbols on the Sonos playlist page. One is obviously shuffle; I think the other is repeat. I do not want to do either of these things. I just spent over three hours making a 54-song playlist, and I want it played in order, NOT shuffled.I chose “play, even though it was grayed out (because there was no other choice) instead of the shuffle symbol above my playlist. But when the playlist went into the left-hand column to play, it automatically rearranged all 54 songs. This happens to ALL of my playlists; I have no control over it. But this one I wanted in order. Now it’s all jumbled up.
I’m adding 2 x Era + Sub Mini to my Sonos setup. Want to connect my Audio-Technica turntable to the stereo-paired Era 100s. I already have a Sonos Port. Should I connect my turntable to the Port or one of the Era 100? Any difference in the Era 100 performance? What would you do and why? :-DAndersCopenhagen, Denmark.
My home theater setup: a 2018 Samsung TV — with ARC only, an Apple TV 4K, Sonos Arc, a Sonos sub and a pair of Era 300 rear speakers. What is currently the best ARC/eARC converter to enable full Dolby Atmos audio and video? Secondarily, which ARC / eARC converter provides the best value - features, functions and ease of use?
how do i set up sonos to play my favorites from Spotify?
What really pisses me off about this S1 S2 thing is that it is absolutely possible to make later technology work with the older technology. The new units have more memory and faster processors so can easily deal with the old requirement.I recently purchased a sonos roam, what a load of bollocks to set it up, you need to set up a new system and your old kit won't work. it is so easy for sonos to provide the old functionality on new tech they just want to squeeze their customers.
Lately I have had a very hard time connecting all of my speakers to my Sonos. I have 5 speakers in my workout room and every time I workout at least a couple of them will not connect and I have to go through the steps of unplugging the Wi-Fi router and then waiting for it o connect again and even that doesn't connect all of them. I used them for 3-years without ever having an issue and then it started and I don’t knw why I am having so much trouble connecting. Please Help :-(
I own a Sonos arc and sub 3, I’ve rebooted them because my sub was not connecting with the arc. Now I got both on the same WiFi, however, while trying to set up surround sound, it’s staying that “I need 2 compatible speakers to make surround sound. Make sure your products are powered on and connected to WiFi.” I’ve googled, searched YouTube and can’t find any resolution to my issue. Hope someone is able to help. thank you
This is probably quite a basic question, so thanks for help in advance.Set upI currently have two Era 100s in stereo. I’m considering getting a Beam (gen 2) and a mini sub, and also an extra Era 100 for a different room. Questions1) What set up do in need if I want to use the Era 100s as rear speakers for TV, but have a stereo set up for listening to music? How exactly will music through Apple Music work in this set up? 2) I presume it is easy to then have a Era 100 in a separate room so that the living room set up (era 100 x2, Beam and mini Sub) and the separate room Era 100 as a separate speaker such that the same music plays in both rooms, but either system can be switched off. 3) In the living room I want the Era 100 as rear speakers. However, one of those is currently connected via a line-in to a record player so its location is fixed and not in a good position to be a rear speaker. I can’t really move the record player. Any suggested solutions to this? thanks for any help/sugge
Is it safe and recommended to stack Sonos Amps?
Does anyone have much experience using 300s as a stereo pair? I was thinking of using them with a Sub for music. Reviews I've seen range from excellent to poor imaging and a "sonic mess" for stereo. I guess that's because the drivers point in all directions. Other reviews love them. I wanted to hear from someone other than a youtube reviewer. My room is maybe 16 ft square and is on the padded side for a living space.
There appear to be 2 stands available for the Era 300s. There is one made by Sonos and the other by Sanus? Since one is significantly less expensive it would be good to know what you are getting for the extra money. Does anyone know?
Ok, I have to plead optical audio ignorance here, but how does the Optical Audio Adaptor (came with the ARC sound bar) work? How does the adaptor convert the optical audio out signal from the TV to an HDMI signal? There is no electronics to convert from optical audio to HDMI built into this thing that I can see!The reason I asked is because I assumed that I could simply plug the optical audio adaptor into to my LG TV’s optical audio out plug (as it should be), set the tv to optical output and the connect adaptor via HDMI cable to one of the HDMI plugs on a Pioneer receiver and I’d get audio. Apparently it doesn’t work that way! What am I missing? Any input would be appreciated and thanks in advance.
I’ve read through all the threads thus far, but most are >1 yr old. Question is whether you can connect the Philips Hue HDMI sync box to Sonos Connect Amp to utilize sonos native app functionality to control music(via Spotify) and have it sync to lights?
Hi All, currently have a new play 5 and sub in my kitchen. I’m thinking of installing a Sonos amp with 2 B&W in ceiling speakers CCM362 to replace. my worry’s is will it be an upgrade or downgrade? kitchen is 4.5m by 7m.any advise would be grateful.
Playing YouTube from my iPhone I’m considering buying a Sonos beam and satellite speakers so that can enjoy my music from my iPhone. Just reading some mixed messages… the whole point of the system is to play my music but I don’t use pay monthly music services. Will it work or do I buy a different system?
Ok - I am new to sonos and am quite confused by groups. My setup: I have a stereo pair in my kitchen, and then an Arc in my living room. I currently have two room choices when I want to play music: “Kitchen” and “TV Room.” I would like to have a third choice: both. I could name this “Downstairs” or “All speakers.” I would like it so that when I press this “room” they all play. I’m very confused why this isn’t an option. When I go to settings, groups is greyed out, and it says it’s not available to me because I have two rooms. But I’m confused becuase I would like a group that includes both rooms. I’ve read online that there should be an “everywhere” group but I cannot find that. When I pull up the groupings, there is no such button. This all seems very illogical to me and I am getting frustrated. Thanks.
Hi,I am new to the Sonos ecosystem and got my second speaker today. I have an era 300 in my living room and the move in my bedroom. I exclusively use the Spotify app to play music. What I would like to do:When playing music, I would like to either play in one of the rooms or both at that same time. The issue I'm facing:when I tried to group the speakers, the option was greyed out and says you need 3+ rooms to do so. I saw in some posts a reference to automatic "everywhere" group, but that is not visible in Spotify. There was a workaround posted on one thread where you can use the three dots option next to the speaker in Spotify and it redirects you to the Sonos app's grouping feature where you can create a group with two speaker. Unfortunately, when you do this, the original single speaker that was visible will be replaced in Spotify with the new group (this means I can no longer only select that speaker). Each time I need to play everywhere I can go through these steps, and undo it
Just a general question without all the specifics. Which has better sound overall for streaming music Beam 2 or Move 2? I have the 2 Eras and Move 2 already and just added a Beam 2 but like the Move sound and versatility better. Anyone using 2 Move 2s in one room?
Hey there, where can I find a full list of all the Sonos Radio HD stations, e.g. Sunset Fuzz, Cocktail Hour etc. There used to be a website with all the stations and the option to listen to a preview of the station, apparently it is gone. Thank you!
I’m using the Beam Gen 2 as a surround sound system with Sinfoniks. I’m considering adding a Roam to listen to the TV sound in another room using the group function. Is this possible?
i have a restaurant - here’s my set up:Six Samsung TVsSix Beam G2Comcast business modem/wifi one guest wifione private wifiSonos 2 app on ipad that has current OS and connected to private wifiNeed to use the sonos app for background music when the tv sound isn’t on, but the picture is - like on a soccer gamei have had no issue setting up the beams set up on wifi private on the first try, naming them, connecting back to tvs, grouping them. however, going back onto the app - once it’s been closed or ipad has gone to sleep, some or all cannot be found, the spotify app from sonos doesn’t see any or all etc. i have tried factory resetting all of them then connect the first one to ethernet in order to use sonosnet, except the sonos setup app won’t connect to set up that way. I have reset them all multiple times and they all get connected but don’t stay connected. So it must be my comcast modem with wifi built into it right? calling comcast didn’t help as they said they don’t help with this
Trying at add a pair of Symfonisk bookshelf speakers as surrounds to my Beam. I set them up and confirmed they were working individually. Then I tried adding them as surrounds.I go thru the setup and it fails saying “There is a problem adding your surrounds. Check the network connection and make sure your products are powered on. Try again.” They are powered on and network is working fine (could play music up until starting the setup).Pressing “Try again” instantly gets the same error. If I exit the setup, the Living Room (where the Beam is) now says “Living Room (+?+?)” and I have “Remove Surrounds” in the rooms menu. I tried playing something in 5.1 but no sound is coming from them. The 2 Symfonisks are also now gone from my system and I need to factory reset them to get them to appear in the app again. How do I setup the surrounds properly without error?
