Long but narrow room 17ft x9ft my seating position is 6ft away from sound bar and TV, my sofa is up against the wall so rears would be about 7or 8 inches behind me.

So my set up Will be the arc and gen 3 sub and I'm thinking of getting the era 100's as rear suround, will the sound bar drown the rears out or will I still achieve suround sound.

 

You have the ability, in the Sonos controller, of setting the relative volumes between the soundbar and the surrounds. If you can run TruePlay on an iOS device, it will do a fair job of automatically setting that for you.
