Anyone know what I can do about cracking audio in a room just my Sonos One?
Bought second hand a Sub and did the factory reset, with the Ethernet cable I managed to finally get the Sub connected to my system but it will not function until I link it to my account. However no matter what I do I cannot get it to connect to my account. Why? What's the trick, what am I missing here?
I would love to know if anyone has their speakers stuck updating after the latest upgrade to 14.20. It’s been like this for a few days now and just frustrated, not knowing what to do.
I have had my Sonos system for five years. Over that period it has gone from working properly 10% of the time I try to use it to now, about 75%. If I get another cannot find your system or reboot your router or move my speakers closer to my router message l will scream. I have reinstalled at least 50 times . I fantasize about burning my speakers in a backyard fire and posting the video. Today is a perfect example. A nice quiet Sunday am and wanted to put on quiet classical piano with our coffee. We had the system playing holiday music yesterday, working fine. Today, it cannot find my system/speakers. I have a house with a very effective wireless router that reaches all corners of my home including my office in the furthest corner where I am on zoom calls via wireless all day long. My two speakers are, one, in the same room as my router and one in adjacent room. I am so done with this unreliable piece of ** *Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.*
Hi everyone,I'd like some advice on how best to connect two Play 5 (gen1) as a stereo pair in our garden house. This garden house has an Access Point (connected to our router via WLAN in our main house) that allows WLAN connection and wifi connection.Do I need to connect both speakers via a WLAN cable or can one speaker function as a router for the other speaker? What should I then do with the wifi on each speaker?
Hi.I have a pair of play 5 2nd gen speakers and I seem to notice one speaker sounds more vocal than the other. The other sounds duller less treble.Im on Amazon music with ultra hd.Done all the trueplay etc.Is it normal? Atmos or something. Thanks
New issue with the Sonos system today which is confusing me. Initially the system didn’t show in the app, so switched off the boost and disconnected from router. Switched back on and reconnected. The system then showed in app, set to play music from Apple Music. Music played on roam but not on my one even though it said it was playing in app. Went through the usual routine of switching off and on the effected “One”. Started playing - great but then tried to widen the group and each time same thing, showed in app as playing but no audio, switched off and on and unit starting playing. Played for a while and then dropped out - same issue system is boost, beam, 4 ones and a roam all running on S2 app latest version with 14.2 firmware on all units. any ideas?? Bug in firmware?? as system played perfectly up until today..
One of my Sonos One speakers came unplugged and when I plugged it back in it no longer is paired. What do I do to get it paired with the other speaker again?
Hello,I am operating a Sonos S1 system with 10 speakers in 8 rooms. The music plays in party mode (i.e., all rooms connected). Everything works fine. I now added a turntable through the line-in of a Play5 (gen 1). Mostly, this works fine. However, often the sync between the rooms breaks down and the music only play on the two speakers and a bass booster that are connected to one pair in the room, in which the turntable is connected to one of the speaker. After a while, the other rooms pick up the music signal, but then loose it again.I wonder whether it is too much bandwidth for the Play5 to simultaneously SEND a signal from the turntable to the system and to RECEIVE a signal from the system. Would the set-up be more stable if I were to purchase a Sonos Port and feed the turntable signal into the system with it (obviously, I would prefer not having to do that, as it involves extra cost)? Is there a way to stabilize my system so that playing music coming from a turntable in multi-room m
Within Sonos 2 application, one can create groups of speakers or groups of rooms playing the same music, and give them a name. But once created, you cannot “modify” them. All you can do is create new groups with the + button, but why can’t we modify them, once created ? Thanks for assistance.
Hi. I am using a pair of KEF Ci160qr Ceiling Speaker on the Sonos Amp. At low volume the sound is good enough. But the sound gets highly distorted at high volume. I have just used the default settings on the Sonos Amp. Can anyone let me know, what the best settings for this combination. Thanks in advance.
Brand new Philips Oled Tv . Hdmi arc and earc ports . 4k . UHD . Smart . Etc etc . Bought the Arc sound bar . great bit of kit for music and audio . Plays fantastic with Netflicks , prime , apps , when played from the Philips Tv . Digital and Dolby Atmos plays superbly and great movie experience. However when played through Sky Q box 2Tb , there is audio sync issues . Tried all options on Sky … no joy . so have had Sonos support technicians the last 2 nights . Tried everything . Unplugs , resets , ultra fast hdmi cables , adjusting sync delay in settings on Sonos app . Discovered that it can’t be resolved . Sky blame Sonos . Sonos lay the problem at Skys door. . Truth of the matter is that both the Sky Q box and the Sonos Arc work perfectly well …. Just not when they are connected together . I’m going to return my Arc as can’t deal with the sync delay and I use Sky for all my Tv channels . Will hang on a week or 2 in case any of you kind people on here can help as Sonos cannot . Ch
I am looking to get an outdoor projector and be able to get the sound through a Sonos five. What is the best way to do this? I do know the fives are not waterproof. If anyone can also recommend a good brand/model of projector that works well. So many options. Thanks
I have moved house and lost the mounting bolts that go into rear of the play 1's, can somebody point me in right direction for a replacement. Thankyou
So I’m having a weird issue : my Sonos Play:5 won’t play music from line-in. That being said, if I group it with another room, the other speaker can play the music from the line-in (but still not the Play:5). Sound is high, and not on mute. I rebooted the device. This is a new problem. I’m starting to think it’s an hardware failure. Anyone got an idea of what I should try to fix this?
Sonos speakers blaring in the middle of the night over the Weekend. Spotify is disconnected. Is there any other way that people could connect to the system and play really loud music? Or are the speakers turning up themselves? Thanks!
My play 3 keeps dropping out. It is near my router but drops out constantly. It does not disappear from the controller
I spent 2 x 2 hours with the hotline keeping on reseting and reinstalling. After struggling on my own given the poor skills fo the hotline staff, i dicovered that it was a 2 clicks solution:-go on your Orange “My Livebox”app,-go on you Wifi set up where you have the mapping of all your connected devices-and finally “authorize” the Sonos device which was blocked A baby fix that Sonos people are not able to identify...sad!
I have two Sonos One SLs in the back at equal distance and a Sonos Arc at the front connected via wifii and eHDMI. I bought the rear speakers last week. I’m watching a soccer game and the sound in the rear speakers literally sounds like waves. The sound of the crowd comes in and out over the voice of the commentators so noticeably it’s making me nauseous. I had to turn them off. I had a Samsung 5.1.2 surround system and it did not do this.It doesn’t happen only with games. It happens with shows and movies as well. The sound in certain scenes comes in and out in waves and I believe it’s when somebody is talking. Is this a bug? A malfunction? This is terrible quality so far. This is a video that I posted on Reddit and you can clearly hear it.
My system is controlled with the Fire Cube. I just purchased the Gen2 / Sub Mini. When the system is turned on does the sub automatically turn on and connect also?

I’ve got several Sonos systems in my house and have used the products since they first came out so a big Sonos fan but have an issue that has me stumped. One of the systems consists of a 2 Play 1’s and a Sub (gen 2) that I was using with a Beam for the TV surround set up. I swapped out an old Bridge for one of the new Ports and got a new little sub to go with two Ones and all good but then I went to watch TV and the Play 1/Sub/Beam wasn’t working and in fact only played the Beam. After trying a few things with no luck, I decided to do a factory reset on the surround set up and start from scratch. I’ve tried it 4 or 5 times now (no luck but the same problem occurs every time) so figured it’s time to get some expert advice. The issue appears to be the Beam not being able to exist on the same network as the other devices. It creates a separate room (TV Room 2 instead of TV Room) every time I do a reset and walk through the different connection steps. I used the TV Room as an example but b
Hello,i use sonos from almost 10 years and since a few weeks the music stops and plays again back after a few minutes after skipping a lot of songs. Hi,I’m aware that you can listen to AM lossless via ATV but I’m wondering if you can also listen to lossless audio through line-in? I have my TV set up as beam with sub and surrounds but the majority of my music listening is via stereo paired play 5’s (considering whether to move sub to join them). I’d like to listen to AM lossless and wondering if iPhone connected to one of the play 5’s via line-in with ‘uncompressed’ selected in audio compression settings of Sonos app is the way to go? Thanks!
I just bought a pair of one sl to go along with my existing beam. The beam is already set up for the tv, and i would like to use the two sl’s as surrounds. But, my priority is music, and a really want to have stereo sound for music. is it possible to do both? Seems like that’s not an unusual situation. I’veread other articles here and it seems like you can’t. That would be extremely disappointing. Has anyone found a way to figure this out?please help thanks!
