My Sonos Play:1 speakers worked fine for years, now they won’t talk to my router.
I have reset everything and started again from scratch to no avail.

Play:1 speakers work fine when plugged in to router with Ethernet cable, and they are definitely being picked up by my phone when trying to set up, they simply won’t work on my wifi any longer. The router is a good D-Link system, couple of years old, and all other internet in the house works fine.

Not sure what to try next!!

I would first check the Router’s wireless settings meet the following requirements for Sonos.

All Sonos products support 802.11b/g Wi-Fi modes and Open, WEP, and WPA/WPA2 Personal Wi-Fi security standards.

In addition, I’d be looking for other changes that may have been made to the router via an update that you may or may not be aware of, such as the addition of a VPN, or some sort of virus protection, which might block access to external devices like the Sonos.
