Hi I am looking to buy the sonos outdoor speakers with the amp. The 2 architectural speakers and amp come to $1,578. 

Best buy seems to sell their version of these - 

Sonance - MAG Series 2.0-Ch. Outdoor Streaming Music System Powered By Sonos®️ - 

 

Does anyone know what the difference between these are?

That Best Buy package reminds me of the one they had a few years back with the Connect:Amp.  It’s a Best Buy exclusive, and the biggest difference is the Sonance speakers are not manufactured specifically for Sonos, so you can’t Trueplay them or connect up to 3 pairs. 

Ok thanks that is helpful I guess that brings me to another question. 

  1. I am using the amp for the 2 speakers outside. I also am getting a sound bar and 2 in ceiling speakers for the surround. Do I need a separate amp for the home theatre part of the house or can I  use same amp for outside speakers?
  2. is true play good enough i should get the Sonos outsdoor set from their website not bestbuy one?

  1. You would need a separate Amp.  Otherwise the outside speakers will be playing the surround signal.
  2. I'm not sure Trueplay will have nuch effect outdoors.
