I have aquired a play 5 gen 1 speaker and have the S1 app installed on my iPad, I thought I would try my iPod connected through the line in with line in selected in the app. There is no sound emerging so assumed if can’t be done until I noticed there were sound bar lines moving on the app as if it was playing. Am I missing something here?thanks in advance.
Any ideas on how I set up Dinis as I’ve changed provider and it says unable to connect to network even my account is greyed out so unable to log in to change settings do annoying thought it would be so easy
We’ve had a Five for a bit without issue and recently purchased a home theater package that included two One SL’s. I was able to set up the Arc and Five without issues, but can’t get the SL’s set up for the life of me. I had one connected until the automated support told me to reset the router. Now I’m back to square one and extremely frustrated after more than four hours of troubleshooting. Any insight would be appreciated! Thank you in advance! 🍻
I’m filling an open floor plan with distributed Sonos Ones for smooth coverage. About 1,500 sqft. I have several Ones spread out (not in stereo) and grouped but want more bass. The Sub Gen 3 would obviously do well, but my purpose is background/entertainment music while guests are over. I’m wondering if two Sub Mini’s would give me a better consistency of bass and offer some flexibility as I continue to kit out my place with all Sonos.I’m aware, you can’t pair Sub Minis. Not yet anyway (maybe firmware in future?), but my thought is: If I paired one Sub Mini to one One speaker as a room, then another Sub Mini to a separate One speaker as another room, could you group the rooms and essentially get both Sub Mini’s to play?Again, not trying to put two mini’s on a stereo or home theater setup, wanting to spread the sound out consistently.
I’ve moved into a new house and am trying to setup the Play:3 speaker. I have factory reset it since it’s been a few years since i’ve used the speaker and I am receiving an error that the WiFi has a problem when attempting setup. I have it wired to the router and it still cannot find it. Any help here?
Hi, I have seen a Samsung smart TV which I am about to buy (QE43Q65B) the speaker is poor as I understand it. To avoid additional expense of a soundbar and to improve sound quality I was hoping to connect to one of four Play 1 speakers I already own.Reading boards I can see this may not be as straightforward as hoped, I am happy to to buy the appropriate lead if required but what I don't want is this to become hard work. Just want to turn on the tv and volume work as normal from the remote. No pulling wires out, recalibration, adjusting settings etc.Any help would be most appreciated.
I bought the new mini sub for our home theafter setup in the family room. My wife doesn’t like the way commercials boom, and I get it. We have paired 5s in the living room where we listen to music. Can I move the mini sub to this paired set-up?
Hi,I have Sonos Beam Gen 1 in my household connected via wifi. The product has worked fine for a long time but suddenly I lost the ability to connect to it without any clear reason. There were no changes in the network, the connection just stopped working. I can reconnect to the Beam with bluetooth and reset the wifi password but after setting everything up, the Sonos application fails to connect to Beam device. This happend on both Sonos (iPhone v 14.20) and Sonos S1 applications. I have tried following things without success:Try to discover Sonos devices in the network (Sonos apps) Try to fix Sonos connection (Sonos apps) Reconfigure Sonos connection to the wifi (bluetooth) Try different iPhone to connect to Sonos Try to change wifi password Try to connect Sonos with LAN cable Reset Sonos Beam Try everything above again Remove Sonos application and try everything again after reinstallationFollowing things have been checked:Sonos and iPhone are wifi connected and in the same network B
Face it Sonos, your Roam product is faulty. And to make matters worse, it’s sold at a Sonos price. My kids have less than $50 products that last longer, have the ability to stereo pair in Bluetooth, and are more dependable.I love my Play:5 (Gen2), three (3) One’s (Gen1), One (Gen2), and Amp. And after getting over the fact that my two (2) Moves won’t stereo pair in Bluetooth mode, I’ve learned to appreciate the acoustical depth they generate. One of my Roams has already been replaced. But now, both are unresponsive. To anything! I purchased the wireless charger for each, so it’s not the charger. They are your chargers. Within the S2 System App one is listed in “Sleep mode” and the other is “Not connected.” They both are unresponsive to resets, factory resets, charging for several days, no lights, no nothing. And I’m seriously considering replacing my Samsung soundbar and subwoofer with your Arc. But can’t bring myself to do it with this Roam issue still pissing me off.Admit it. Your Roam
I have two (2) Play 5’s that are randomly disconnecting the stereo pair. Happens in Apple Music, Spotify, and Line In.Diagnostic: 217537956
SL1s can I Unplug and move the speaker placement without changing the settings? Can I use with 4 SL1s and and a sub until I buy the ARC? I’m transitioning from Bose. Using a LG 86 TV no receivers just the tv. Thanks in advance.
I’ve tried several times to get my Sonos One speaker (corded) to pair with my iPhone and I have not had any luck. Any suggestions?
Can I pair a Sonos beam and Sonos play 1?
I tried to reset my Play 5 and it keeps flashing orange and white. Green led never comes on.Any advice?
Hi,I have 2 rooms in the Sonos app: Sonos arc full system (surrounds and sub) and another room with roam. when trying to airplay from any of my Apple device (including Apple TV) I'm unable to do so to the Arc only. When trying to airplay to my roam it works 100%. tried removing the Sonos arc accessory from HomeKit but when trying to re add it it says the same issue again “unable to airplay to..." appreciate any help!
I have been a long time user of Sonos S1 products -- Connect. After our move SWMBO demanded that wires be eliminated from the new home. So I purchased a Sonos One Gen 2, knowing that I would either need to downgrade it to work on S1 or I’d have to set up a separate Sonos system. I won’t go into the headaches and failure to connect using S1. I decided to go with a clean installation with the S2 model in hopes that this would work. In preparation I (a) unplugged the three Connect devices, (b) removed the S1 controller from the iPhone, (c) logged into my Unifi wifi access points to convert them all to 2.4 ghz signal only, (d) powered down the entire system so that access points, router and modem were all shut down and hopefully clean, (e) downloaded S2 controller and (e) rebooted the entire mess. S2 controller finds and configures the Sonos One Gen 2, but will not connect to my network with wifi. Yes, I tried the password several times, including copying it from the password manage
I have no option in the s2 app to connect my Sonos boost. Can anyone help?
The roam I have has never worked correctly. I have probably used it 6 times in a year and now it is completely dead. From the beginning I could rarely get it to connect to anything. I even contacted sonos and they told me I needed a different charger. Of course it's out of warranty and has been a total waste of money. I've had it charging now for two hours and it won't even come on. No light at all anywhere on this speaker. I have multiple sonos speakers but after this I will never buy Sonos again.
Hi just in the last few days my app is showing that I have issues with some or all parts of the system ie not connected however all speakers are working fine ( Beam Gen 2 - Sub Mini - 2 sl ) I did have problems with my Wi-Fi a few weeks ago but up until this week it’s been working great, well still is but the app is showing issues - so is it a app problem ? many thanks Andy
I have spent thousand$ of dollars on my SONOS system and it does not work reliably. I’ve called in to SONOS support numerous times and I have got some good answers and some bad. Here’s the breakdown:2 SONOS 5’s wireless 2 SONOS 1’s wireless as Surround speakers to an Arc/Sub 1 Move 2 Beam’s wired to the network 1 Arc wired to the network 3 sub’s (one for each soundbar) wireless 1 Amp wirelessWhen I was first setting the system up, per the instructions I set it up wireless. The instructions were specific that it would work better wireless. After having some problems I called support and they cited interference and asked if I could hard-wire any of the speakers to the home network. I was able to easily wire all the soundbars. I was told that then the speakers would create their own “SONOS Net” and this would solve my problems. I was also told to make the SONOS net on Ch 11. Speakers still cut out. I called back. Then I was told to make sure that whenever I play music to try to start the
There is a 25 second delay when I skip to a new song, or fast forward. Also when I decide to add an existing speaker to start playing. Any idea on how to fix this? It always will start paying on just my Sonos One. 25 seconds later, the other speakers will start playing.
Hello people,So I jumped on the Sonos wagon last year and things were fine until about a month ago when the speaker keeps disconnecting from the network. Today’s episode is the worst yet and I’m right considering selling the damn thing and getting another brand. I’ve spent at least 5 hours today trying everything listed on the support site but nothing works. I’ve reset the speaker over 7 times and also deleted and reinstalled the app, plus unplugging my router uncountable times today. I’ll appreciate if anyone has a once and for all solution for this. thank you Kingsley
Recently bought a play1 at a car boot sale. Managed to set up a profile, but when I tried to update it’s asking for a different email address. I guess it’s the previous owner don’t have any details for the previous owner what should I do? I bought this at a car boot sale.
Hi!After a year with the sonos beam i finally got a sub gen 3, love it so far but after reading i see they recommend the arc with sub. My question is how loud could i try this without get distortion or risk of damaging the speakers, the tv sound dosnt show sound level but only a plus and minus when i turn the sound up and down. Wonder if the system is set with a factory limit, that protect the speakers so one really cant play too loud? Example lets say the kids is home and decide to go all out with it, if they could turn it too high or isnt it possible? Best Regards Pieter :-)
My sonos play 1 will not connect to the system as a surround despite connecting via ethernet and doing factory reset? Any suggestions welcome...
