About two weeks ago a Play 5 I had in a stereo pair setup with another Play 5 started to occasionally disconnect or just freeze so I had to pull the power plug. This behavior has now started to get worse and worse to a point where it happens every 3 to 5 minutes now where before it was only perhaps once a day. It is usually a self reboot of the device, then the second time it fully freezes. Ethernet ports stop blinking the device stops doing anything.  So things I tried:=============I disabled wireless and tried Ethernet only, then the other way aroundSwitched places with the other Play 5Changed the Line-in source from one device to the other and vice versaChanged ethernet cablesSwitched from direct router port to powerline adapter where the other play 5 was connectedTried DHCP and fixed IP on the routerRelease the stereo pair and used the Play 5 standaloneTried just grouping with the other Play 5Put it into another room to another ethernet port Full factory reset and putting it back i

I’d like to temporarily unplug the cord from the Sonos One Gen 2. Because that end of the cord is narrower, I’d like to use that end to feed though a cord hider. But when I set it up, I think it must have snapped into place. Am I able to un-snap that connection without harming the speaker? I’ll add this: it does not come easily unplugged by wiggling and gently pulling.  

I sold my house and the buyer took some of the sonos gear. I dont have access to the system anymore and want to delete them from my account and music services. How do I do this?

Everything was working fine, until I had to switch off the electrical supply to the house to solve a power point issue. Power goes back on, my Sonos App shows my system in all three rooms is working. Until, that is, I try to get it to play anything. I find Tune In for a radio programme, and nothing. I tried music from my Tidal streaming account. Again, nothing. Help please! 

Every night at around 3 / 4 AM my play 1 omits a low pitch ‘ping’ around a dozen or so times. They happen every 20 seconds or so. At first I thought it was my Alexa so unplugged it to find out it must be the Play 1 in our kitchen.  It is a mid / low pitch ping that lasts a split second and repeats around a dozen times. Wakes me up every night, any help appreciated. 

New speaker out of the box — works great when plugged into router with Ethernet cable, but immediately stops playing when cord is unplugged. How do I get it to connect wirelessly so we can put it in the desired room (where the cable can’t reach)?

I just bought two Sonos One SL shadow edition speakers from Costco.  I want them to play the same music in two different rooms of the house.  I read online I could group them, but my Sonos App has the “Group” feature greyed out and says I need three or more rooms to group.  Is setting up a stereo pair a good option if the 2 speakers are on two different levels of the house? Is there a way to create a group for two speakers?

I seem to be having network issues and it now seems to point to Sonos.  I have many zones in my house.  Several Sonos devices have the same MAC address (example below is 34-7e-5c-9f-8f-dc).  How is this possible? My S1 SL speakers connect to my WI-FI and can be seen by the app for only one minute before disconnecting. I have an EERO router and the Sonos speakers are within close range and getting a full signal. I’ve had the speakers for about a year, but the sketchy reliability has really turned me off to this product. Anyone have an idea before this system goes back to Costco?

Does anyone else have issues with Sonos speakers when playing from Amazon music? I have 8 Sonos One and EVERY TIME I attempt to play an Amazon playlist the music just continuously cuts out from one speaker to the next. Also, after about a minute, the track cuts to the next. I’ve done the usual Sonos recommendations: reboot modem, boost, each speaker…. Nothing works. If I play any of my own music it does not happen. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have followed the procedure to get BBC Sounds listed as a music service for my Play1 but it never appears in the list. I have deleted the Sonos app, reloaded it, switched my phone off and on again, updated my Sonos via the app but there is still no sign of BBC Sounds!  I read that I need to ensure that everything is setup for the UK in my profile....can't find "my profile" anywhere in the app. Has anyone any idea or suggestions as to why I can't get hold of BBC Sounds?

I bought a refurbished Play 1, and am trying to connect it to the WiFi. After no luck, I connected it to the router via ethernet, and it worked fine! I then disconnected it from the ethernet and tried to connect it to the WiFi again, but it still won’t work. Anyone know how to solve this?

Will I get 24 bit ausio on a play 1 if it is connected with the Arc? I would love a technical explanation of the sonos ecosystem to understand better. Does each speaker have a DAC? Can I override this with an external DAC if needed?

Hello there, long time sonos gen 1 five owner. Looking to upgrade. As I understand new Sonos products wont work with the gen 1 five. Is this correct? Looking to set up a multi room system. Thanks

I’ve got an issue with my pair of Sonos Fives with a significant bass boost at around 50Hz from where I’m sitting (measured using the iOS app HouseCurve). In doing some research I believe it is a modal peak or similar which should be able to be resolved to some extent in DSP. I’ve tried moving the speakers around as much as I can but although I can reduce it a little the problem is still there (I run Trueplay each time I change the positioning).I would have thought Trueplay would improve this but I’ve run it repeatedly and I just can’t seem to deal with it. I’ve tried reducing the bass to -10 in the equalizer but this doesn’t seem to have any effect either.Does anyone have any tips on sorting this out? iPhone 14 Pro on latest version of the app. I’ve tried moving the speakers as far into the room as I can. Thanks for any suggestions 

Is there a way to check if a second hand sonos was used for the upgrade program? I am looking into buying second hand speakers, and knowing if the upgrade program was used on them would make the differenc between an ok deal and a great deal...

I have a standalone Play 1 that does not connect to my wifi anymore. It worked fine for years, the problem started when I changed my wifi from 2.4 Ghz to 5 Ghz, and then after back to 2.4 Ghz (because I learned Sonos does not work well with 5 Ghz).I tried everything to make it work again without result:unplug power and restart reset to factory settings connect with ethernet cable to update sofware  reboot my routerEverytime when I try to connect the Play 1 to wifi using the steps in the Sonos app, I get the same message: “we could not connect the play 1 to your wifi”.The 2.4 Ghz frequency (active) and 5 Ghz frequency (inactive) have separate names in my router, so there can be no confusion in the system about that.Thank you very much for your suggestions :)

How to combine Playbar and Play5 Gen1 in a single system to work in sync?I havePlaybar Play5 Gen1 (2 qty) Using Sonos S1 app Configured to work on WiFiI have downgraded Playbar to work in Sonos S1 so that I can see all of them in single app.However, even after doing that, the Playbar and Play5 Gen1 cannot be added in single system.I am OK if I have to connect them by wired (ethernet or audio cables). Is it possible to make a single system with all these devices (WiFi or wired)?

I have aquired a play 5 gen 1 speaker and have the S1 app installed on my iPad, I thought I would try my iPod connected through the line in with line in selected in the app. There is no sound emerging so assumed if can’t be done until I noticed there were sound bar lines moving on the app as if it was playing. Am I missing something here?thanks in advance.

Any ideas on how I set up Dinis as I’ve changed provider and it says unable to connect to network even my account is greyed out so unable to log in to change settings do annoying thought it would be so easy 

We’ve had a Five for a bit without issue and recently purchased a home theater package that included two One SL’s.  I was able to set up the Arc and Five without issues, but can’t get the SL’s set up for the life of me.  I had one connected until the automated support told me to reset the router.  Now I’m back to square one and extremely frustrated after more than four hours of troubleshooting.  Any insight would be appreciated! I’m filling an open floor plan with distributed Sonos Ones for smooth coverage.  About 1,500 sqft.  I have several Ones spread out (not in stereo) and grouped but want more bass.The Sub Gen 3 would obviously do well, but my purpose is background/entertainment music while guests are over.  I’m wondering if two Sub Mini’s would give me a better consistency of bass and offer some flexibility as I continue to kit out my place with all Sonos.I’m aware, you can’t pair Sub Minis.  Not yet anyway (maybe firmware in future?), but my thought is: If I paired one Sub Mini to one One speaker as a room, then another Sub Mini to a separate One speaker as another room, could you group the rooms and essentially get both Sub Mini’s to play?Again, not trying to put two mini’s on a stereo or home theater setup, wanting to spread the sound out consistently.

I’ve moved into a new house and am trying to setup the Play:3 speaker. I have factory reset it since it’s been a few years since i’ve used the speaker and I am receiving an error that the WiFi has a problem when attempting setup. I have it wired to the router and it still cannot find it. Any help here?
