We’ve got a Beam gen 1 and two Era 100s set up in surround right now. We’ve also got an Audio Technica turntable that could connect to one of the Eras through bluetooth or the line-in, but they are disabled in surround sound mode. The only option seems to be setting up the Eras as a stereo pair *every time* we want to play the turntable and then grouping them back with the beam *every time* we want to watch the TV. It’s such a lot of bother to do this every time, and if we want Trueplay calibration we have to set it up like new *every time*. It’s this or buy a massively expensive Port unit.Is this really the reality? Am I missing something? Can Sonos not streamline the switch to some degree? At least remember the Trueplay calibrations for each setting?
I have two SL1’s and two Ray’s hardwired via ethernet and three SL1’s using WIFI.Randomly ALL of the speakers disconnect then reconnect.I’ve done the recommended router reboot and unplug/plug in of all network attached devices.Problem has only recently started occurring. All Sonos components are running the latest patches/upgrade and the App is latest (per Apple App Store).Sonos OS = S2Version = 15.9Build = 75146030Any thoughts/suggestions would be appreciated.
I just received a Sonos One (S2) that I’m having issue’s connecting my Macbook M1 via airplay. Every time I try and set the Sonos device as the Output it prompts me with “Could not connect to “device name”. I am however able to get music to play through it when I open up Spotify on my Macbook but I can't set the device as the output when I want to watch something on a browser. Both devices are on the same wifi network, i’ve power cycled and ran through the setup on the Sonos twice and updated the software on my Macbook to the latest but still no luck, please advise.
I have dumb speakers i use via an integrated (Marantz) amp. I just bought a Sonos Connect, hoping I could use that to make the dumb speakers part of my Sonos set up, but can’t get them working to stream music as I’d hopedI’ve connected the Connect via RCA cable to the amp. And the Connect is being recognized via my Sonos app. (It’s powered up and named). My other Sonos speakers are working. Not sure where I’m going wrong with the wiring of Connect to amp. Or did I misunderstand what hardware I needed to get my dumb speakers integrated to my Sonos set up??!! Thanks for any advice or ideas
Hello,I have been using Sonos devices in vairous rooms of my house : Arc + Sub + 2 One in the living room, a pair of One in 3 other rooms…The device that is monitoring the use of my solar panels turns off the sockets in the rooms where nobody is. Hence my Sonos system is most of the time incomplete (with disconnected speakers). In this situation, the Sonos App struggles and takes a while before letting me play music and then does not run smoothly…Would you please consider this use case and make it work better ?Thanks.
I’ve never had an issue connecting my iPhone to the sonos airplay - all of a sudden it’s stated saying ‘unable to connect’ I’ve removed the app, reconnected the app, tried literally everything - I don’t know how to connect the two
I have a number of Sonos devices, Play5 Gen2, Play 1s, Roam and have seen various issues with connectivity across all of these.Currently when trying to play from Apple Music on my iPad via AirPlay to the Play5, as the song is playing there is no sound, then after around 3-4 minutes of leaving it alone playing the sound randomly starts to come out of the Play5. Sound drops in and out, sometimes corrupts and crackles etc.The Sonos Roam has intermittent connectivity issues over Bluetooth. The Play1s have issues where they drop in and out, when paired with other devices, one speaker will drop out whilst the other works and vice versa. All devices are up to date, they sit on desks or on a kitchen counter top.Why are Sonos devices so frustrating and fit for purpose? I log a support request or ask for help and the same script comes back.Check you for interference, reboot your router, reboot your device, update your Sonos devices, update your other devices, make sure you’re connected to WiFi, m
I have 6 Sonos speakers (includes a sound bar and a larger 5, with 4 Sonos 1’s). Everything works flawlessly typically, but lately, music skips or stops when I’m streaming (Apple or SiriusXM). When I play from saved playlists, I’m getting song not encoded properly for many songs and it skips right over them. I see similar complaints from 5 years ago. HOPEFUL that there is a better resolution or big fix. Plays perfectly through EchoDot. Thanks!
So that's three devices on one network, all on the latest version of the app. One, the oldest, an iPhone 7 sees all my sonos stuff, the other two, a Pixel 7 and a 2021 ipad, see two different sets of the speakers.Had a problem a year or so ago that was similar and thought I'd found the solution, seems that you can't have an ethernet connected sound bar and expect that to work. But now this. The whole sonos experience is rapidly becoming rubbish and no longer recommendable
I have Sonos Beam and One S2. Both worked fine yesterday and for over 3 years I had no issues. But today it all changed. Both were grouped. My network is run on Deco mesh system.Beam disappeared from the app but it is still working, despite the fact I don’t see it in the app. One is showing in the app but not working. Can’t turn it off and no sound coming though.I tried adding Beam back to the app but getting an error “There was a problem connecting your Beam to network”. I tried several times but nothing works. The best result I had it said it was connected, but right after it reverts back and offers to connect it again. The only way to make it work like it was before is to connect Beam with router through enternet cable. After that both Beam and One show in the app and can be grouped. Can anybody help me to figure out how to fix this issue. I prefer Wi-Fi connection.
my Sonos speaker is raising the volume to the max on its own without me, prompting it. It starts making this……Dot, dot,dot etc sound and then the volume goes to the top!! Very annoying. Anyone know what’s going on with the speaker?
I own 2 play5 spleakers 1st gen and just sold them. I want to discontinue from my account.
Hello, I have two Sonos Play:1s in the same room and paired for left and right play. I control them using the S2 iPhone app. Other details:Version: 14.20.1 (build 70436090)Hardware Version: 1.8.3.7-2.0Series ID: A101Since changing wifi router they will play a few songs for roughly ten/fifteen minutes and then stop. When the music stops, the entire network no longer has internet connectivity. All wireless and wired products stay connected to the network but can no longer access the internet. To resolve I have to restart my router. Does anybody have any solutions? The behaviour means I have stopped using my Sonos system which is really frustrating. Thank you in advance!
Hello, hoping someone can help me as customer support is offline in Australia at the mo. I have a few Sonos speakers dotted around the house, all of them, bar one, are happily working on S2. My Play 5 Gen 1 can’t connect to it, so has been sitting like a brick for a while.I understand there is no workaround for this, so decided to buy a turntable that I could plug directly into the Play 5 via the 3.5mm aux. I *thought* I’d be able to just download the S1 app and connect solely to the Play 5 for the purpose of playing records, but when plugging it in, it just flashes white.I have tried resetting (holding the |> button while unplugging/re-plugging), and have tried connecting via ethernet to my router, and resetting again, but nothing - the lights on either end (router/speaker) don’t even register it.How can I get my Play 5 working independently of the rest of the system? I was hoping it would be easy…Thank you!
Hey everyone. I have 3x Play3 and a sonos Amp. 2 of the Play 3s are grouped together downstairs to play in the kitchen and dining room. However, they are dropping out randomly. Sometimes the kitchen oneSometimes the dining room.I've tried moving speakers, I've tried restarting routers with everything off and switching them on afterward. I've tried seeing if there are any updates. No joy. This is playing BBC sounds or Spotify btw. Internet speed of around 40mbpsCan anyone help me ?
How can I play my itunes playlists on Sonos One’s?
For about the sixth time this week the Sonos system has become invisible to the Sonos app - on Desktop (and occasionally on the Android App). However Spotify detects the device. On occasion Spotify cannot detect the device but the Sonos App can…..Madness….I have set fixed IP addresses for the Sonos devices as previously suggested. Rebooted router (ASUS Restarted Devicesetc etcI can’t keep doing this ad infinitum…..
Hello, I am having an issue. For months now, every single day, my ‘bedroom’ Sonos One’s have an alarm that goes off at 8:30am. I can say “Sonos cancel” and it turns off But if I say “Sonos cancel my alarm” it says “there are no timers set”If I look on the app there are no alarms or timers set I have disconnected all other programs (like Alexa) and the alarm still goes off. I have checked previously linked smart voices (like alexa) and there are no alarms set with them either. I cannot figure out how to get it to stop. Please help
I have a single era100 which I use over wifi (Spotify mainly), line in (xbox) and bluetooth (turntable)I am considering buying a second one to create a stereo pair.Question I have is will I be able to use the bluetooth and line in across the stereo pair as well as Spotify.Id really like the xbox and turntable to come through as stereo as well as Spotify. I’m no longer able to connect my line-in feed (a turntable) to most of the speakers in my home. This is suddenly a problem for the past few days after a full year of no issues at all. When I activate the line-in and try selecting any other speakers except the 5 (which is wired to the turntable) and my ceiling kitchen speakers (which are connected to my Sonos Amp), it makes all the sound stop and eventually says it can’t connect to the device. Nothing about my home or set-up has changed so I have no idea why this is happening. Submitted a diagnostic—1125498172.
Hi @ All,Yesterday I received my pair of Sonos Era 300 and after I installed them on the stands I immediately noticed that the build quality of both speakers is not what I expect from Sonos as it seems that the backplate is somehow not even installed on both of my speakers.I googled it and it seems that this concert more people:https://www.reddit.com/r/sonos/comments/1253qem/era_300_manufacturer_defect/Can some Era 300 owners confirm that they also have this problem?
Hi All I am a 65 year old Sonos novice and have now joined your community to look for help as I cannot resolve my issue although I have been adding to the sonos system for a number of years now I haven't suffered from many issues. I have recently noticed that when I group two of the main rooms the sound begins to distort on the one’s at times but not all of the time only occasionally 2 one’s in same room will distort or cut out the other room sounds fine, should I group an additional main room (all three main rooms together) all the one’s distort. In each of the three main rooms I have the following 1 Play base + 2 One’s + 1 Sub, an additional room has 2 one’s + 1 Ray which was recently added also further additional 5 rooms each having 1 one.The complete system comprises of the following3 x Sub3 x Play Base1 x Ray15 x One (2 not yet connected?)I have searched the online help but cannot find anything relating to this issue the system has been updated as of this morning and I have reset
Just got this new router from the ISP and my speakers always disconnect or cannot be found. Have to always find and re-start the router to find all speakers. Sonos say’s to name the bands to separate them but ISP says it is not possible with this router. The page that lists routers that are not compatible does not list this router. Has anyone find a solution for this issue with this specific router? Is my only option is to get another router that lets you separate the bands (2.4ghz/ghz)???Set up:1 Beam4 Sonos Play11 Move
On-line chatted with a Sonos rep to determine if the audio output of my windows 11 can be sent to the Sonos SL One. The speaker does not have a line in. Is there any workaround to be able to accomplish windows 11 audio output to Sonos SL One speaker?Thank you
Hello friends, I have a problem with my Sonos Play 1. I tried to factory reset them as described on the official website, but I can't. When the buttons are pressed, the white indicator should flash, then white and orange, and after 10 seconds green. But the green light just doesn't appear or appear at all.Is there any way to reset the sonos play 1 using an app? It is to reset the speakers through the application, and not to reset the application itself. Thanks!
