Thanks to my other post, I learned that two components can used with a stereo pair of 300s, one inserted into each Era 300. however, how can I preserve CD quality sound being sent to the era? I’m assuming that RCA cables would not do so, nor would, a 3.5 line out. What about using an audio extractor inserted into the Era—one with HDMI or a digital coax port? Hs anyone done this? Side note: I’d love a recommendation on an inexpensive CD player. The goal is to have a little “legacy station” (play CDs and vinyl) next to my Era 300s.
My move- moves Inside to outside to lake to sprinter van-it gets around!I would like to add more and, honestly, just expand my home system to outdoors- I know Move is somewhat ok with outdoor weather, but is there anyone that works outdoors or one in the works for outdoors? I could put the speaker under an awning, so it would take the brunt of the weather, but could not guarantee it wouldn't get wet. Thanks
Hi all,I bought a pro-ject Phono (no Sonos) and I would like to listen through the ERA 300, but but I can’t! I called the support and they told me that I need to buy or a pro-ject phone T1 (Sonos) or a pre-amplifier phono. I need to discuss with the Sonos community to understand what is the best solution.many thanks!Michele
I have 2 play:3’s connected, bought a 2nd hand for another room. App couldn’t find it, connected the speaker to the router, it can see it but won’t connect. Is it the router? Seems odd since 2 are already connected.
how many sonos ones can be added to a wifi system?
My era 300 disconnected from the network recently. Now when I reset to factory setting and try to add it back to the system, it gets all the way to the end of the process with a message along the lines of “speaker is connected but may not show up in Settings/System. If this is the case, unplug the speaker, plug back in and finish connection in the Settings tab.” I have tried this multiple times - i unplug the speaker, plug it back in and there is nothing to “finish” in Settings. Nothing happens at all and the speaker is not connected. Getting very frustrated.
My Sonos play 5 (gen 1) is blinking red. Any ideas what it is and how to fix it ?
Dear all, I have 2 identical Play:1 speakers. They both got upgrade to S2. As they were not compliant to our overall Sonos System, we need to downgrade them. Followed the exact process as shared by Sonos. 1 unit downgraded successfully but 1 unit keeps on giving ‘downgrade unsuccessful’ message. Any advice on what to do in addition to the documented process of reset and more options on S2 app would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance. R
I watched this video from the Sonos official channel. But I am wondering that if we play music via Bluetooth to stereo-paired Era 100, is it a true stereo? For example, one speaker is the left channel, another one is the right channel. Or 2 speakers actually just have the exact same sound out?
The answers here are a bit confusing so let me ask. I currently have a Sonos Beam and two One SL speakers all set up as my living room. Can I add a third speaker out on my patio and selectively turn the pation off when I am in the house and listening in the living room. Thanks Len
Hi,Since a while, AirPlay does not work anymore with my Sonos Play:5 gen 2. I reset the speaker and Airplay start working again but failed soon after.anybody as any idea of what to do ?Thanks !
Hi,I called Sonos support twice on this and let’s say they wasted my time…I have 3 Sonos in my home (home wifi network) and 2 others in a Guest House (Access point connected directly with a underground network cable to the home router). I need my 2 Sonos in the Guest house to connect on the Acccess point and the 3 Sonos in the house to connect on the ‘’home wifi network’’. I seems that the Sonos App does not allow to connect different groups of product under different network. I suspect that, since both network are not so far from each others, they are picking up signal one from the other. I even tried to creat a second Sonos Account to separate the 2 networks but the App recognize that the speakers are linked to the main account (maybe because of serial number). And yes I made sure to Factory reset all speakers before I start to configure. Your ideas are more than welcome!
Hi all.so I’ve had my speakers running pretty much faultless for the last 7 or so years, but over the last few weeks when we’ve been using them throughout the day and evening they work fine however when we turn them off for what ever reason (bedtime phone calls whatever) they all come on full blast randomly. This could be in the afternoon middle of the night no pattern. They are all up to date, I’ve tried powering down, deleting the app and re installing. This afternoon we turned them off and I removed the last played from the rooms and they have all just blasted out something, seeing as it’s 2030 and the kids were are in bed I just unplugged as quick as I could. any ideas on what else to try as I’m at my wits end With them now thanks in advance
I have had my SUB for over 8 years, same house, same place, it worked fantastic until 3 weeks ago. I’ve had to do a lot of resetting. Finally 2 of my 4 products are good. When I reset my SUB and try to reinstall I’m not being able to get the green flashing light. I am connecting to the Sub’s WiFi network, but when prompted to push the arrow button I should get a green and white flashing light and light remains white. I only get a white light.thank you in advance
Currently have two Era 300s set up as a stereo pair, with one speaker connected to my Sony Turntable via its RCA outputs (and Sonos adapter). Is it technically possible to connect a CD player to my other Era without “confusing” Sonos? I know I could just detach the Vinyl RCAs whenever I want to listen to the CD player, but I’m wondering if it’s possible to have both units each connected to an Era, so that I never have to unhook anything. I’m also uninterested in a mixer, although would consider a low-profile one if that’s all there was.
Our Sonos system was installed in 2016. More and more often the music is not continuous. On occasion I have unplugged the Sonos control box for a particular room, and it appears to help for a day or so. It is very frustrating. I am wondering if there is a way to reset the entire system, hoping that this might solve the problem. Gary Freeman

HiI have just installed two Era 300s in a stereo pair with a sub. All works fine, except when I added the Alexa voice assistant the music became incredibly muffled as if Alexa was listening all the time. When i removed the voice assistant, it was all ok again.Does anyone have any ideas of how I might resolve this?ThanksNeil
I have a Sonos ray can I connect 2 Sonos ones second generations together as a surround sound
I’ve had this same Sonos set up for years and all of a sudden the following issues have arisen play 1 x 2 not connected and cannot reconnect though the app. Have done the troubleshooting unsuccessfully one SL x 2, intermittently dropping out of the app. Both not connecting through the Spotify app sonos Arc and beam, intermittently dropping out from app and becoming disconnected Sonos app has become laggy and difficult to use I haven’t added or changed my network lately which is odd that this has started out of the blue please help!
HiI have successfully connected a DMP 6 to my 5 and played music throughout my Sonos system. My question is, if I added a pre amp would this enhance the sound further and increase the volume? I found that the volume using the DMP 6 was lower then playing without it connected?
I can’t join my new WiFi. I tried Myriad of times. No luck
Hello everyone. I have setup my 2 new Sonos Fives with Sub Mini and noticing that one of the speakers sounds like it plays in a mono mode, like if the tweeters were not on or something. I don't know how to better describe the issue... I have tweaked every possible setting that I could think of, but nothing worked. Currently, the music plays through a smart phone and is hooked up using line in connection. Anyone has experienced this? Thanks.
Hello. I purchased 2x Sonos Five with Sub mini. I was hoping to be able to use the speakers via 3.5 mm audio jack, but it looks all the jacks that I've tried, do not go in all the way through and as a result I either don't get any sound or ot sounds without the base and other channels. Can someone explain what could be the issue before I return my speakers? Thank you.
It sounds like I have a speaker (one of my One SL speakers) might be blown. Getting cracking like I haven’t heard since is was a kid back in the 1970s listening to cheap car speakers. suggestions as to what I need to do? I have only had for about 2 years +
