I switch my roam between blue tooth on my phone and then back to the normal Sonos system. Right now it is stuck as offline. No matter how long I hold the power button on the back, it does not power off. It just sits there with the red light flashing. I unpaired it from the phone, etc, but I cannot get the darn thing to do anything. I am starting to think it is a faulty power switch? That small button on the back back the power cord is a very subtle button and I am wondering if it is faulty?I mean, not sure what the heck is going on, but right now it is essentially a brick with a flashing red light on the right side.

I have 2 Play:1’s linked to my S2 app. Each Sonos has it’s own Alexa Echo Dot connected to it. Both Sonos speakers work fine normally (a few dropouts/buffering but nothing major).As soon as my Apple TV 4K box is switched on, the audio that is being played on the Sonos speaker stops. If I close the Sonos app and restart it, either the speaker that I was listening to is missing from the Sonos app or the app can’t connect to my Sonos system at all. As soon as Apple TV is switched off, then after a short while, the Sonos app shows the 2 speakers again.I’ve checked the ip addresses of everything connected to my router and they are all unique. I’ve tried making the 3 ip addresses (Sonos and Apple tv) static and rebooting the router but it’s made no difference. Anyone any ideas please?   

Had Sonos system for some years and it has worked satisfactorily but just recently a problem has developed whereby I can’t connect and get the message “unable to connect to Sonos “.Nothing has altered on our system which is controlled by two separate iPhones and an iPad all using Sonos 2 app.I have followed the instructions to fix problem and although it identifies my speakers it says cannot connect. For no specific reason it then starts working perhaps for a day then either the iPhones work and the iPad doesn't or only one iPhone works.Tied contacting  sonos by phone but huge wait times.Mentioned my problem to daughter today , who lives 5 miles away , and she is experiencing exactly same problem.Any help appreciated.Regards

Hello, I have connected my youtube to sonos but I cannot see any else except the auto playlist. I have created a new one but it does not appear in the sonos. Can you navigate me, please?

I'm wondering how to solve my challenge.The setup is:Apple 4kTV HDMI to Optoma UHD380x optical out with HDMI converter to SONOS BEAM (Sonos beam paired with 2 play one and SUB)I guess the reason why I get STEREO PCM as listed input is that the conversion through the Optoma beamer or the conversion from the Optoma optical out to beam HDMI in port. Would there be a solution to get both the image onto my OPTOMA and the sound to my BEAM with 5.1 instead of Stereo PCM?! thank you so much!I guess the Optoma is the issue because the SPDIF only supports - SPDIF Out (2 channels PCM).beamer: https://www.projectors.co.uk/optoma-uhd380x-projector/Is there something like an HDMI splitter so that I directly after the Apple 4K tv split the audio from video into two HDMI cables; one going to the beamer and one to the Sonos Beam?

I am running Sonos S2 Ver 12.2.1 on an Android device and am unable to create a simple playlist of selected music I have copied to the SD card in my device despite having followed all the instructions about adding a song to a queue then adding it from there to a playlist. The app will not allow me to create a playlist.Now I have found a little phrase in a closed discussion that reads:“Note, you cannot add tracks on a mobile device to a playlist, only from My Music Library or music services.”My Music Library is something I recall had something to do with the dreaded iTunes- something I have happily had nothing to do with since switching to Android.Are you seriously telling me I can’t create a playlist in Sonos from my music collection?

Hi - I’m trying to set up a universal GE remote to control the volume of my Sonos Arc.The listed 4-digit code for Sonos is 1796. When I use this code, volume down works, but volume up does not. I’ve also tried going to “Remote Control Setup” in settings. It says to press volume + on the remote; when I do this, I see the white light on the Sonos Arc indicating it was received, then the app says I can now use the remote. However, I then have the same problem: no response to volume up. I’ve also tried the remote control setup with a random tv code set up on the universal remote.I’m actually trying to get my Apple TV remote to work following the instructions here: https://support.sonos.com/s/article/3403?language=en_USI can’t set up the Apple TV remote if the universal remote won’t work for it to learn from. Sonos setup did find the CEC signal, but Apple TV isn’t aware I have a sounder to control; it’s been quite a painful process. Thanks in advance for any help.

I can’t set google assistant voice service.I have tried different wifi, different ethernet provider, connecting via ethernet cable, rebooting, reinstalling app. I always get and connection problem error.How can I fix this? 

Yesterday I started getting an error message when playing songs from my playlist...this only happens with the Amazon music streaming service. The error code is this song is not correctly encoded. I can add a song to the playlist, and play that but anything that was added before yesterday will not play and gives off this error message.Coincidentally, I also upgraded to Amazon HD music yesterday. No issues playing any other streaming services. I have rebooted my router (hard reset)I have also reset multiple speakersPlease help! Diagnostics submitted: 2108077815 Thank you.

I can’t get the swipe feature with the Move speaker to skip songs or go to previous songs when playing from the Spotify app or Sonos S2 app. I have a paid account with Spotify. Move is up to date. Play/pause and volume buttons work fine.  Is this a “when applicable” situation? Or am I overlooking a setting?

Hi all,I’m after a bit of guidance here, I’m buying a house that has two wired ceiling speakers in each of 4 rooms that I would like to make use of. I believe they are Sonos speakers, they may be a good few years old, but I see no reason why I cant install an up-to-date setup that enables these four separate zones to be used. What would I need to buy to do this?I’ve done some research, but struggling to get my head around this. Do I need a multi-channel amp? Do Sonos even make one? Or do I simply need to buy 4 x Sonos Amp’s (one for each room/zone) and stack them? I think it might be as simple as that, I buy 4 x Amps, connect them to the internet and name them appropriately for each room/zone, control them from Sonos app on my phone?Is that it? Or is there something better I can do?

Why is this happening again with the last update? Nothing has changed but now Sonos cannot connect to Spotify? Yes we have restarted everything, unplugged, rebooted, removed accounts and added again. Same result. Diagnostics submitted again.

Hello I have a question,I currently have a Sonos Arc, sub and 2x Sonos one in the living room.in addition one Simphonysk in the bedroom.If I will add a port with a turntable (with its preamp of course), do I need specific speakers (pre-amplified of course) to connect directly to the port, or can I cast the vinyl directly to the other existing Sonos speakers that I already have?In general, would be better to connect the turntable to a sonos five or to a port?Any differences in the DAC between the 2 components?thanks

My S1 is making crackling noises and is sounding awful. Any recommendations on how to rectify this?

Hey guys, I’ve noticed kind of a weird problem that happens with my Sonos speakers and using google voice commands to play music via Spotify. I was curious whether anyone else noticed the same problems. Normally, when asking Google assistant to play music (again through Spotify,) everything works as expected. However, I’ve noticed that, if I use the Sonos app to select/play something w/ my phone, and then later try using a google voice command to play music, Google assistant will acknowledge that the song will be played, but nothing happens. If I repeat myself and ask a second time, it will play properly, but I’ve notice that every time I try doing a voice command to play music after having used the sonos app to play music earlier, I always have to say the command twice before it’ll play properly.  Does this happen to anyone else using Spotify w/ Google assistant? Thanks. 

Hello, I’m not able to use my somos play 5 gen 1 after completing all updates of apps and system. S1 can find it as its wired to router but prompts using s2 app. And s2 app not able to see the system. S1 iOS app is v11.2.5S2 iOS app is v12.2.7both iOS apps can see the play 5 gen 1, but each one highlights the other app to use it but none can supervise it. My other Sonos play3 and One working fine with S2. 

I read most of the posts on this topic but still a little unclear on the Sonos Components required. Currently have regular Paradigm in Ceiling Speakers ( for Rears), a Paradigm Powered Subwoofer. and a newer Sony TV. Mostly stream and use a media server to watch TV and movies. Also have an older Sonos Playbar. In order to use my existing components I assume all I need is to buy a Sonos amp, connect my TV (via HDMI), plug into the sub port and connect my rears all to the AMP. Would this be correct and would it work and will the Sonos be able to “tune” the room? Of course the Soundbar would be my Fronts and Center (for now) and can I assume nothing needed to plug into the soundbar other than power?. Any assistance appreciated. Thanks, John

Is anyone else having issues with Spotify via the Sonos S2 app?For the last few months, I have had consistent issues including: Lags in response to controls  (change volume, skip, change playlist, add/remove rooms, etc.) for up to 15-20 seconds Music dropping out (10-30 seconds) immediately after any change to a stream (skip, change playlist, volume, etc.)  Failure of stereo pairs to operate together, either briefly or permanently, most commonly after in response to changing any of the functions listed aboveI have chatted with wonderfully responsive Sonos support a number of times, and they have suggested the following, all of which I have tried to no avail: Change channels, which I have tried many times Change the position of my Bridge and wireless router - I have tried many configurations   Validate that I have the Bridge connected to the proper port Ethernet port, which I have done.  Nothing has worked with respect to Spotify, but oddly, I don’t see nearly as many issues when playin

Apple have just announced CD quality and 24bit high resolution lossless playback for Apple Music coming in June 2021. Is Sonos going to be able to play these lossless files direct from Apple Music like Tidal?

I have been lurking on these forums since I pre-ordered the Roam a month or so back. In the last few weeks I have been watching the threads about battery drain closely. I, like others, am experiencing what I consider sub-par battery performance.Since the software update last week (13.1) I expected improvement, but the device appears to still wake itself up (white light on at random times) and thus drain battery.I saw a suggestion that the device was designed to constantly be sat on a QI charger when not in use. I have several Native Union QI charger’s around the house (rated: AirPods up to 5W, iPhones up to 7.5W & other Qi compatible devices up to 10W). I have been leaving the Roam on these chargers when not in use. Upon placing on the pad the white light will turn on, I assumed by design, but whenever I lift the Roam off these pads the battery is usually very low.What’s going on? I have a Beam in the lounge with two One SL’s as surrounds. Google Assistant works fine on this setup. I have just bought the Roam and when trying to add the Google Assistant, it simply does not find the device. I have now tried it several times, both through Google Home and also starting within the Sonos app. I removed Google Assistant from my Beam and tried again in Google Home, it found the beam instantly … but not the Roam. Ugh. The Roam is on my network, I can play Spotify through it, I can add it to other speakers to play the same music concurrently (speaker groups?) … but I can’t add Google Assistant … as Google Home just cant find it! Frustrating to say the least. 

[Solved: see 4th post] Hi! This is quite odd: My Roam in Bluetooth mode allows me to adjust the volume, no problem.My Move doesn’t. The volume slider on the phone changes, but it has no effect on the actual volume. That can seemingly only be controlled when I hit the touch buttons. This is quite ridiculous, given it should be very similar firmware and adjusting your volume in Bluetooth mode seems like a very common use case for a speaker that’s supposed to be used, on the move, without available Wifi. When is a fix for this coming? Should be trivial, given it already works with the Roam. Thanks. L

Hello,My Sonos Playbar is not able to connect anymore. I reset to factory settings, restarted wifi, connected via ethernet. None of this worked. I can’t re-add the product: It searches, finds playbar correctly, then I push the buttons to complete connection and there it fails.Thank you for any help in advance!
