I have the Xfinity XG1v4 DVR.  I just noticed today, in the Sonos app, that I’m only receiving PCM stereo on every channel.  (I have an Arc, two subs, and surrounds.)  When I change my source from the XG1v4 box, to my Apple 4K TV or my smart apps on my Samsung TV, I start receiving Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital Plus, according to the Sonos app.   Does anyone else have a similar setup and receiving better audio from their XG1v4

My system is a pair of Sonos 1’s with S2 controller. Mac OS Big Sur. After upgrading from S1 to S2 I lost acess to my Mac OS library. It resides on another drive attached to my desktop. I have tried every possible suggestion on this website and still can’t manage to get it to recognize the library. I think it has something to do with the path. When I browse for the folder on the desktop, I identify it without problem, but in the iOS Sonos app it lists a different folder. If I try to force add the folder by typing in the path, it won’t recognize it. Any ideas?

Given the Arc’s support for Dolby Atmos and having added support for two subs I would like to know if Sonos is going to add support for more surround speakers to the app that could be used as either front surrounds or height surrounds. My room situation is such that my left and right walls are too far away from the Arc for sufficient bounce. I would really like to add an additional pair of front surrounds to fill that void.

The TV and the couch are about 10 feet apart. The TV has 2 HDMI ports (one used for the Mi Box, the other says “HDMI/DVI” but I’ve had an Xbox on it with success in the past) and an optical out (no ARC). Hi!I have 2 Sonos Five in stereo pair connected to a power strip in order to turn on / turn off the speakers.I’ve read that turning on / turning off ervery day could affect the internal circuits, that it would be better to have the speakers every day connected.I usually listen music around 2 - 3 hours per day, and the rest of the day are turned off.Do you think this could affect to the lifetime of the product? Is better to have it turned on? 

I have a Sonos One that we use outdoors. The buttons no longer work and the display lights won’t turn on. It doesn’t respond to the wake word. However, it still appears in the app and can be used to play music from smartphones. I’ve gone into the Sonos app and the display lights and buttons are enabled. I’ve tried disabling them and enabling them again but they still don’t turn on. Any thoughts?  Is it possible that it’s a hardware problem?

Hi,I have upgraded both Sonos 2 (13.1) and Sonos 1 on my iMac; but now i have lost my music library.II have now spent 3 days trying to reload the library to Sonos and every time i get either a1002 or my iMac is blocking Sonos access message. I spent 2 hours on the phone with one of Sonos’s support guys and achieved nothing.Everything worked perfectly prior to the download of the new Sonos version (13.1). To my knowledge nothing has been changed on my computer.Actionstaken:Norton Anti Virus removed from computerIMac Anti Virus turned on and off - neither workFile Sharing turned on and off - neither workedinternet Router turned on and off 4 timesNew Sonos 2 and Sonos 1 downloaded several timesAccess  to music file, access to iTunes access to Music all selected and all failed to load library.Does anyone know what is causing this problem?

This is 3 questions in 1 post. Can I keep my old products (or sell them or give them to family?) when taking advantage of the upgrade or do I need to send them back in order to take advantage of the offer?If selling/giving away, do I just do a factory reset? Do I then need to dis-associate them from my account?Is the Sonos Boost mandatory if moving to S2?

Hello, I have a weird issue where I can be listening to a radio station and when someone else on the network opens the S2 app - playback stops for a few seconds before coming back on again. Does anyone have any ideas as to what would cause this? It seems to only happen with radio (Sonos Radio/TuneIn) The network consists of several Connect:Amps and a Playbar all hardwired (individually) direct to a gigabit network switch which has a single uplink to the main router. There’s also a Sub which connects wirelessly. I’ve isolated the network to only have Sonos on it and the issue still appears. Broadband speed is good. Any help appreciated!

I have installed a NAS drive and My Cloud Home on my Sonos.  I have dragged and dropped all of the music albums in my iTunes library to the NAS drive.  Almost all of them are then available from the Sonos My Cloud Home library menu, and play normally.  However, there are a few music which will not show up in the My Cloud Home library menu - even though they are present in the data files on the NAS drive.  I have deleted and re-loaded the data more than once - but the same few music albums refuse to be available in the My Cloud Home view.

Hi there,After the latest (very long awaited) Sonos app update, my IDAGIO app now crashes each time I try to connect it to the Sonos system (Sonos Connect).  I’ve contacted IDAGIO support and they direct me to Sonos since all the inquiries came after the update.  I’m using the latest version of iOS.  Honestly guys, you’re not that much lucky with your app ☹️

I use android and my wife uses ios. We have a number of speakers and love them. The issue is better described by an image.I have several wireless access points spread over my house. My speakers are on a designated SSID. They work fab. On occasions I get major dropouts. I have a strong 200mbps setup. To try to improve my network I have attached the two speakers on the opposite sides of my house to a physical connection. Since then, I keep getting this issue. My wife selected music on her iPhone. If I go to change anything, music or volume I see music playing on speakers not selected on my controller. The only way I find I can resolve it is to go back to music and select another selection. Another track. It sorts itself out then. It doesn't mater what source I select. I use SONOS radio, Spotify and my Synology NAS. They all give the same result. I am considering removing the physical connection to see if that goes back to normal. I would like to configure my network for the perfect SONOS

This happens about once a week. In the Sonos app, choosing our favorite station from “Recently Played” or Sonos Radio” results in an error message and prompt to “Reauthorize Sonos Radio.”  Its very annoying to have to do this every week.

How can I take care of the battery in my Sonos Move if I don't move it much from its charging base? I leave her connected all the time? turned it off or what can I do to take care of its battery?

Hello everyone we are building a new home and I want to setup a home theatre there. local hifi store is suggesting a traditional projector/screen w sound system w receiver.I am looking more into a system consisting Arc+ sub gen3 + 2 in ceiling speakers (w Sonos amp)+ 2 one SLs to have a truly immersive atmos experience. Now my question to the community is…. has anyone else done it? If yes is it worth it? Or it’s too much having in ceiling speakers? if it’s worth it, can I please request a design documentation that I can provide my local hifi guy to work on and create this system.Any help will be highly appreciated.Thanks in advance Ravioli

Having problems connecting/setting up my system. I can connect them all and all work but not together and when I search for my products on the app it can only find each product separate. Phone finds amp iPad finds arc neither finds the other.

I recently added a Connect so my Klipsch Sixes could play the same music with my Play:1’s. I’m using the phono outlet on the Sixes and line out on the Connect (the optical is broken). If I play the music very quietly it doesn’t sound bad, not great but not bad. As soon as I turn the volume up there is an incredible amount of distortion in the Sixes and I can’t figure out why. Any advice?  I want to crank all of them at the same time.

Hi there, I am designing a home expansion to create a Family room and a Terrace. In the  Family room I am considering a sonos arc, sonos sub and 2 One’s for surround.  For the terrace, two passive outdoor speakers powered by a Sonos Amp. My question is: can I pair the Sonos Sub with the Amp wirelessly (moving the Sub outside of course) when I am in the Terrace to enjoy the music in stereo from the outdoor speakers with the sub through the app? 

Hi,I am considering buying a Sonos ARC however i have a query related to compatibility issues with this soundbar and my TV.I own a 2018 Panasonic OLED TX65FZ802B which has HDMI ARC only. However when i watch movies on Netflix, Disney + and Prime using my Amazon Fire Stick 4k, i notice that the information shows up on the TV for a few seconds that it is receiving Dolby Digital Plus (DD+) which from reading some articles on the net is a compressed version of Atmos. So essentially i’m looking for advice to confirm if the Sonos ARC would provide an Atmos audio signal using DD+ through this TV? info online is very scarce about this subject.Any advice would be much appreciated

My Sonos Move would not connect to my computer via Bluetooth. It worked previously. So I deleted the instance and tried to re-add without success. I would press the join button, Sonos Move would appear in my device list, I select, then I get error, “Unable to Connect”. So I moved to my Wi-Fi, no issues. So I thought my computer’s Bluetooth dongle was bad. I went to connect to my phone and that’s when I found the problem. Sonos Move was already connected to my phone. I disconnected from my phone, pressed the join button, and my PC connected to the Sonos Move again. Even though the Sonos Move stores up to six devices, it automatically connects to the first device it discovers.  I have a Bose Soundlink and it immediately announces which Bluetooth device I’m connected to. Is there a way for the Sonos Move to tell me which Bluetooth device it’s connected to? If not, is there a way to put in a features request?

I love Primephonic, but having an issue where if I pay anything which I have set as a favourite, I get a 402 error, but everything else from the site works perfectly!

Having purchased the new potable Roam speaker are there any plans to allow the Sonos app to work using cellular data when away from the home.
