Hello friends,I’ve been thinking about reworking our living room setup a bit. I would like to get a Beam for our TV and then place two Play Ones/SL/Ikea speakers as  surround sound.  Right now, I have a Sonos Connect: Amp hooked up to some tall Polk speakers. Is it possible to create a dummy load for the Connect:Amp so that I can stream the audio to the surround setup and not burn out the amp?Essentially, I’m trying to make the Connect: Amp more like the Port but without investing in that piece for the time being. This would eliminate the use of the Polk speakers and free up some space in the living room. 

Can anyone tell me. We have two Play1 speakers, we are looking to buy a Sonos Beam for our garden room to use for the T.V in there.....can I connect that to our Play1 speakers on the app to play music through as well?? As well as using it as a soundbar for the T.V separately when needed? Thanks!

How can I figure out the generation of a Sonos subwoofer? Serial #, UPC etc./other? 

Will an AMP Gen 1 still work with the current SONOS app for basic streaming of music?  I have several speakers connected to the newest Amp, but looking for a less expensive alternative to power the outdoor speakers separately.

I have a project T1 phono SB turntable i want to connect it to a sonos connect..but then link it via wifi to the sonos sytem where it will link wirelessly to another sonos connect that is connected to my main amplifier in another room..can this be done? will it work? or do i need to connect via ethernet cable?

I’ve upgraded my AMP system with a beam and 2 ONE SL to upgrade to surround sound for my TV setup. However after playing around with the App for hours, best I can do is adding the SL’s to either the Beam or the AMP as surround.Although I wanted to add them all to the same room, instead of grouping them together I now have multiple rooms with the same name. Maybe I simply can’t find the right option within the App but I feel stuck. So my current setup with in the App is: Beam + 2 SL’s in surround mode, AMP in a system with the same room name. I want to have sound from all of them when turning on my TV, what do I do? :D

I use Alexa and Spotify with my Sonos system and have been for a couple of years.I currently have:Sonos One (Gen 1) Move Play:1 Play:5 (Gen 2) Amazon Echo Dot (4th Generation).Playing music using Spotify or the Sonos app works as intended.I have every speaker in the same group, so whenever Alexa was asked to play it would play everywhere.On or around the 22nd of March I experienced issues with playing music on my Move using the built in Alexa. It would constantly respond with “Sorry, that device is offline” when asked to play specifically on itself. Asking Alexa to play on any other device worked fine. Both the Echo Dot and Sonos One would play music everywhere when asked.I figured I would disable and enable the Sonos skill in the Alexa app but that didn’t help. I tried the same with Spotify with no different result. I also tried removing all the speakers from the Alexa app, then ask her to discover devices in which she would respond to having found 4 devices. I would then ask Sonos Mo

HelloI wonder if anyone can help ? I have a pair of Play One’s (gen2) and an old zp80 connect hooked up to a (budget) pre-amped audio technical turntable. I have set up the system using S1 due to the age of the connect, paired the One’s as a stereo pair and they are fine when playing any digital music.BUT only one speaker can be heard when playing vinyl, the other one is very quiet ? I am by no means an expert but I was hoping that vinyl would work on both speakers without too much fuss, the Sonos kit is brilliant but I can’t afford to shell out hundreds of pounds just for an occasional vinyl session.Any help would be very much appreciated Thanks 

I have a ton of Sonos products across my whole house, and have several rooms with multi-speaker set-up.  At random, I had a play5 drop off my Basement room (which had a two play5 set-up).The network has had zero changes, so nothing has changed other than Sonos software and firmware updates.  I have attempted to add the device back with no luck.i have even relocated the speaker closer to my mesh wifi extender, run a factory re-set on the Play5, and attempted to install it as a new device.My phone can recognize the product and serial number during install...but when I try to link the Play5 to my network, it will hang on the “you should hear a chime” screen and it Eventually says that the device is not found after several minutes.After working with a community Rep (Simon), I submitted a diagnostic report (submit a diagnostic report) for them to investigate further to see what could be causing this issue.  Simon was able to confirm that he saw 2 online and 1 offline.  This was the speaker

Hello,I just bought the new Sonos Amp.  I want to use for our tv surround system with 2 pairs of in wall speakers, a Sonos sound bar and the Sub.The room is quite large (20’x24’) with cathedral ceilings.  Two (2) speakers are located on both sides in the lowest part of the ceiling, a few feet in the back of the sitting area.  I plan to have 2 other speakers (Canton) each sides above the tv set.Is that a possible and interesting setup for our tv surround system ?Regards.

Currently have my TV running into a Sonos Amp, running a 2.1 setup with a third party subwoofer.Just ordered a pair of One SLs to act as rear speakers, but have since read that this would cause the subwoofer output to be disabled - although the information seems unclear, as a lot of people with this issue seem to be using the amp itself to power generic rears directly along with something like a Beam up front (the argument being that in this setup, the amp isn’t getting sent the sub signal, which is fair).However in my case, the Sonos Amp would be getting directly fed a full range HDMI signal, and passing the rear signal on to the Ones. I can’t see any reason why it would need to disable the sub output in this scenario.So to clear up:If I have my TV running into a Sonos Amp, which is wired up to a pair of bookshelf speakers, and a third party subwoofer on the sub out, will the subwoofer output be disabled if I add a pair of Sonos Ones to act as rear speakers?

Hi team.When playing songs via YouTube Music and scrolling through a song (fast forward) the song stops, the app loads and after 10 seconds it gives an error. I've occurred this on two different youtube music profiles, on an iPhone 11, iPad 2021 and Google Pixel 2 on three environments:1. Sonos 2 appwith two Sonos Ones and a Sonos Connect.2. Sonos 2 app with one Sonos One3. Sonos 1 app with Playbase, Connect Amp and a Sonos 3Please can you look into this?

I have asked before and even been pinned to supposed answers but they seem to be above my pay grade.  I cannot seem to get my Sonos system to update with new Playlists or all my playlists.  I have updated the music index.  This seems to be something that should be a simple update.  Can anyone walk me through it in layman’s terms?  

I’m unable to add Google Assistant to speakers. The S2 application initiates the process where it opens the modal in Google Assistant (iOS) where i login to my Sonos account. When doing this i’m by Sonos (in the embedded browser) prompted that there arn’t any registered speakers (they are all registered). I’ve pressed the “I’ve fixed the issue” button, but this doesn’t work, it just refreshes the page and state that there arn’t any registered speakers. I’ve managed to get the process further where the integration is visible in Google Assistant and Google Home, but it wasn’t visible or setup in the Sonos application. Ending up with that i deleted the connection, to restart the process.It seems to be related to a server issue on Sonos end.Things i’ve tried:Reset all speakersReinstall applicationReset routerReset passwordReset Wifi on speakersCreated new Google accountMoved to new email-account (sonos)Forward all traffic directly to Sonos Beam (if it might have been a Firewall issue)  Use

Hello, I know there are similar questions posted on the forum but at this point I am just a little confused. I have a beam, sub, amp and ceiling speakers all of which are Sonos products. After doing more research, I understand that the beam acts as the front left, right and center speakers and so using all four of the ceiling speakers for surround purposes is not feasible. Is there a way in the app to just make everything a stereo pair to play throughout the room? It currently does this for music, but right now in TV mode the only thing that is playing is the beam and the sub (not even two of the speakers). Any advice is appreciated. It sounds like it may be easier to just buy two ones as rears and keep the ceiling speakers for music only, but it just seems a bit silly to me to spend more money. Thank you!

My Play5 gen 2 has suddenly stopped connecting to WiFi (noting changed, the whole family was around the table). I've tried the trouble shooting tips (reset my router, another access-point, factory reset, changing wireless password in router/accesspoint, changing channels). The unit will only connect when plugged into ethernet. As soon as I try wireless it doesn't work. If I try it via the app (android - S2) I get an error 'Incorrect password’ in Dutch 'Wachtwoord is onjuist’I've submitted diagnostics: 1902613812Can you please provide support?Thanks,Aart

Looking for a bit of advice: we’ve recently moved, and are offloading much of our old audio equipment. We already own 3 OneSL speakers, which we love and want to keep. However, I have an extensive collection of classical and international CD’s, and am looking at a new CD player to integrate with our current Sonos speakers. Putting aside the longer term need to copy all of my CD’s to electronic files, I am looking at two options for CD playing, and am unclear if the Port or Amp is needed. One option is to purchase a Bose Wave music system, which would then provide the speakers for that room. The other option is to purchase an Onkyo 6-Disc CD carousel, which does not include speakers. I lean toward the second option, so I can just load up a day’s worth of music. I suspect the Port would do for the Bose, but the Amp would be needed for the Onkyo. Any advice (other than I need to offload the CD’s) is most appreciated! Thanks! 

Hi,I opened this topic to know how to connect a turntable to a sonos home teather consisting of sonos beam and two sonos one SL ( later I will also buy the sonos sub ).It seems to me that I can connect a turntable to both an Sonos Port and a Sonos Amp but it is not clear to me which one to buy.I have this questions.If I decide to buy a third-party receiver ( such as Onkyo, Denon or Yamaha ) and connect the turntable to the receiver, then how do I connect the amplifier to my Sonos products?If I bought a Pro-Ject Carbon turntable instead, how do I connect the turntable to my Sonos products?Kind regards

At home, I created multiple different networks :Admin (192.168.1.0/24) : this network hosts routers and Home assitant architecture Guest Users (192.168.2.0/24) Home Users (192.168.3.0/24) : this network hosts computers, mobile from my familly and also hosts every SONOS devicesAll this networks are connecting to a central Firewall that manage rules and also routing between every LAN. My needs is to authorize the management of SONOS devices from another LAN than only Home Users. Is there a way to force the detection of SONOS devices ?

Since the push of S2 last year, I’ve moved all my Play 1 speakers to the S2 app.  I also have a Connect:Amp that is only used in the summer-time in our pool shed, and my plan was to have it on S1 by itself.My issue is that my S1 setup seems to be confused, and still has all the Play 1 speakers on it, despite them being upgraded to the S2 OS, and successfully connected to the S2 App.  It also has the Connect:Amp on the S1 App, so it is a blend of old and new, which is my problem.  The Play 1 speakers show as errors in the S1 App, and the App itself says its need to do an upgrade before it will allow me to remove any speakers.  However, because the Connect:Amp is in the S1 App, the upgrade always fails with an Error 9.  So I can’t remove any speakers from the S1 App, and I can’t upgrade it to remove any speakers. I have no problems with my S2 App setup - it is running fine with the Play 1 speakers all connected properly.  The only issue I have is with my S1 App. Is there an easy way to w

(Several years ago I know this was not possible, but it seems like some people have successfully done this, so I’m hoping there’s a solution!)I have a Sonos One and a Beam, plus an Alexa Echo Show 8. I’ve installed the Sonos skill to my Alexa account so now I can say, “Alexa, play the Beatles in kitchen”, or whatever and that works. However, it only works for streaming services, not my local iTunes library.Next, I installed the My Media for Alexa server on my Mac and installed that skill in the Echo. I can now say, “Alexa, ask My Media to play [song from local library]” and that will work. However it will only play it on the Echo. (Saying, “Alexa, ask My Media to play [song from local library] in kitchen” doesn’t work - it just ignores the “in kitchen” part.)So, is there a solution to get me to the finish line where I can tell Alexa to play [artist/title/whatever] from my local library on my Sonos devices?

Can the Sonos Port take an analog input and stream it wirelessly to the Sonos Arc? If so, are there any special setup instructions? example: I do not own a tuner. I am running my audio from an analog source into the port. I would like the port to send the music wirelessly to the Sonos Arc.  Is this possible? Can it send to more than one Sonos Speaker?

I’m sure there’s a better way to technically title this question, but I’m not sure what it is… So if this has been answered before, I do apologize… I had no idea what to call it to properly search for it.I noticed today that some of the audio from certain songs (and it could be all songs, I don’t have the most sensitive ear for things to tell--3 years in a rock band will do that to you) is missing. I’m a proud new owner of a Sonos Move, an iPhone owner and am having questions syncing it with my original HomePod:1. I am able to have them sync together under the HomeKit app. I have them both under the same “room” in the app. But I have to manually toggle airplay 2 every single time to get them to play together. Is there an easier way to get this done (without having to go through the annoying steps to turn both of them at the same time?)2. Any hope of getting them to play a stereo pair yet or in the future?3. is it possible to get a subwoofer and have all 3 synced together?
