Hi there, I have 2 play1, 1 playbar and 1 play 5 in my house. and last week I moved to another house so another internet connection. I configured my playbar and one of my play 1 but I couldnt connect my second play 1. When i tried with ethernet cable it works. but when i try with wifi it stopped to play.Realy i m tired of it. Help mee! :)

Hi,I just ordered a projector and the newest apple tv 4k. Since I'm already a happy Sonos user (basically just have two Play:1 units), I would love to continue with that.From my research I figured that I have these options: Connect the ATV to bluetooth, for instance a sonos roam and then group the roam w. the other older units which – as I understand would make all of them play? Connect the ATV via Airplay 2, for instance to a Sonos One.. I heard that is has the caveat of having to re-connect every time, but might provide a better solution? I know that this is not what the above equipment was designed to do, so not looking for that kind of input.The whole idea of the projector setup is to have a big screen when I need it and then tuck it away when not using it and soundwise I want to be able to use the speakers for music as well.Any constructive input on the above?Thanks in advanceLars

I own Sonos Arc + Sub (Gen 3) + 2 Sonos One products connected to newly bought Apple TV 4K via HDfury Arcana as my Samsung TV doesn't have eArc. I'm able to get Dolby ATMOS on it's supported latest movies i.e. TENET from streaming apps. But the issue I have is for Non ATMOS movies. I set audio HDMT output as Auto with Dolby ATMOS in my Apple TV. So movies with Dolby Digital Plus (DD+) 5.1 audio format, I get Multichannel PCM 5.1 instead of Dolby Digital Plus (DD+) 5.1 in my Sonos Arc. The Multichannel PCM 5.1 is softer than Dolby Digital Plus (DD+) 5.1 and the sound is not great.  Hence I would like to check if the sound can be better in Sonos Arc for DD+ 5.1 audio content movies? thanks

I have a Linksys Velop Mesh WiFi system and multiple HomePods (3 original HomePods and 3 HomePod Minis). I’ve recently been experimenting with adding Sonos speakers for the portability, and now have a Sonos Move and two Sonos Roams. Setup was fairly easy and all was working pretty well, but I was having some dropouts, particularly when I had all three Sonos speakers playing at various spots around the house/backyard. A Sonos Boost, from what I’ve read, should be a good way to deal with this, creating a dedicated network for the Sonos speakers. I purchased the Boost and connected via ethernet cable to the main node of the Velop system. It showed up in the Sonos app, went through an update, and all seemed good. But...my speakers (the Move and two Roams) will not connect to the Boost, no matter what I do. I’ve power-cycled everything, multiple times. I’ve reset all speakers. I’ve deleted the wifi credentials for the Velop system from the Sonos app, but, oddly, the network seems to reappea

I recently installed a Sonos Beam to my Sony Bravia/Apple TV system via typical HDMIs.  I set it up to control the operation and volume using the Apple TV (ATV) remote and it worked as expected: moved around the streaming apps and controlled the volume nicely with the ATV remote.  However, after watching a show or changing to another app, the ATV remote could not adjust the volume up or down.  I could move around apps but could not control volume. I double checked the settings in the APT and all ok: Audio Format - Auto, Volume Control - Auto via IR (TV).  I tried switching to Sound Bar via IR and did not fix it.  I thought it had to do with the TV which is an old Sony Bravia (10-12 old?) but used the ATV/remote with the previous 5.1 setup (good ol’ receiver, DVR, speakers, SW).    The only time I will get a small window to control the volume is when turned the whole system off (TV, APT, Beam) for a couple of seconds.  When back up, all would run ok but will loose the volume control abo

Hi,I am trying to connect my MacBook to the ddj-sx and output to the sonos playbar.  no sound comes through the speakers.  While the computer runs serrato dj pro and the deck runs, the only audio i can hear is from the headphones.  i connected the deck to 2 coax cables (R and L) and connected that to a converter that connects to the playbar with a optical cable but the sound does not go through, Anyone know about this and how to fix it

Once S2 is released, will I still be able to buy new speakers and add them to a legacy system?   I know that every time I add a new speaker to my existing system, it forces me to update every controller and speaker to the latest version before bringing the new speaker online.  (That’s how I lost the ability to use old controllers, even though we don’t use any features that weren’t there 10 years ago.) It would cost thousands to replace my legacy speakers (that are still working well), and our most common usage case is “party mode” with everything linked together and in sync, so a split system is not appealing. We’ve been working our way through the facility, buying another speaker every six months.  Do I have to hurry up and buy the rest of the rooms before June?   

Over the last few months we have been unable to play Spotify through our Sonos Play 1 & 3, occasionally a track will start to play but will then stop and we get the error message that has been referred to in many previous posts “sonos unable to play ... connection to spotify was lost”. I’ve been on the phone to a Sonos technician today who tried to resolve the issue, but was struggling to find a solution.  We have a Linksys Velop with 1 additional node.  It was suggested that we change the channels to 6, but I am struggling to do this as I cannot seem to access the Wireless tab when logging into the Router. I will persist with this issue via my ISP, but don’t understand why Sonos Radio plays absolutely fine, but Spotify won’t if it’s a channel issue. Any help answering this last question would be gratefully received.

It has taken me many hours to figure out from intense Googling that the reason Sonos won’t include certain songs from my itunes playlists is that these particular songs are protected (m4p). I have been all over the internet looking for a free tool to convert them. I already own these songs...I don’t think I should have to pay more $ to convert them. I don’t have very many songs with this issue.Can you help?Thanks in advance.

Has anyone else seen this error? The encoded error as well as the lost connection error are persistent & I have tried changing network channels, I have tried rebooting the system and I have tried uninstalling the service and adding it again. The error codes persist despite these troubleshooting strategies. Anyone else having this issue or have any suggestions?

Regardless how we power off our Move,  when not in use, it fully discharges in a few days. 

Hi, I have two Roam. They are really nice, but charging them has been a real source of frustration. I originally pre-ordered a Roam along with a Sonos wireless charger for it. All was great and I loved it. I ordered two more along with two more Sonos wireless chargers (one Roam and charger are a gift). The chargers were backordered, so they came just a few weeks ago. So here's my issue: The original Sonos wireless charger had been kinda finicky about charging the Roam after a week or two, ever since I set up the second Roam. I just attributed it to not being 100% properly lining up with the charger base. This got progressively worse then I plugged both Roam into a 24W Belkin 2 A port charging brick (one USB and one wireless charger) and things were better. When the wireless chargers that were backordered came in I plugged it in to the same charger and things seemed fine for a few weeks. I have a Move speaker that until recently has been working fine on my network. Now, the speaker is showing a steady red LED light on its top indicator. Nothing I do appears to make that light go away, including an attempt to reset it to the factory settings.What can I do about this? The Move does not have any wired connector as far as I can tell.

I see this topic has been raised before but never really answered as far as I can see. I recently bought a Sonos AMP for playing TV sound through my good speakers. I connected the AMP to the speakers, and played some spotify music, it works. I then connected the TV to the AMP using the HDMI ARC port on the samsung tv, and played some netflix using the samsung app, and it worked. But next day it was not working anymore. It took a lot of debugging, but I think I found the pattern:I use the TV only with built-in apps like Netflix and with Chromecast. As soon as I use Chromecast as tv input, the HDMI ARC connection is lost, and it does not return if I go back to Netflix. Only way to restore the connection is to remove power from tv and remove hdmi cable, switch on TV with TV sound, put in HDMI cable and select HDMI ARC output in TV settings. Obviously this process defeats the point of having a Sonos AMP in the first place, I could use any stereo amplifier with optical input and get better

Hi,I recently purchased the Sonos new amp to replace my old Sonos amp due to app issues. The setup is to power 2 x Bowers & Wilkins am1 outdoor speakers. The previous setup has been running fine for 3 years with no issues. On switch over of the amp the sound quality is appalling. Nothing in the setup has changed bar the amp switchover and the speakers almost sound like the music is being played through someone’s mobile phone. Any immediate advice? thanks  

I don’t have any compatible airplay devices yet today my Sonos content which I’ve started from the Sonos app randomly shows up in lock screen with full volume control. Did I miss an update or am I stupid?  

Hi,Recently bought Sonos SUB Gen 3, paired with Playbase. Seems Sub boots slow compare to Playbase.Sonos Sub shows white solid led glowing and iOS app shows Playbase + ?. This happens for few seconds then it detects. Anybody facing this issues? Any solution?Is this issue or Sonos Sub booting takes more time?

I will be connecting a turn table to the Sonos amp in my basement. I have two floor standing speakers there. I was hoping to wire two passive bookshelf speakers in a different room (upstairs, formal living room) to the Sonos amp as wellto get that analog sound in a different room.It would be ideal to adjust the volume separately for two bookshelf speakers in the other room without affecting the basement speakers. I have read some about line level controller or connecting a mixer two the speaker wires then to the bookshelf speakers. I suppose even connecting a Sonos port would give me that control, but that is getting pretty expensive. I am even considering unplugging the speakers when we do not want them on upstairs. Let me know if anyone has any suggestions. 

So I’ve recently bought a new TV and am finding the speakers pretty rubbish. I was looking at getting a Sonos product however am now torn between getting just the Arc or a Beam and adding two Ones to go along with it. Does Dolby Atmos really make that much of a difference that it can outshine two surround speakers?

I recently got a Sonos Roam and integrated into my system (which up until I purchased the Roam was an S1 system). It should be noted that the Roam -- at least for purposes of this post -- is constantly plugged in. And for the most part, the Roam has been working okay, but I have continually had to deal with one glitch:I group the Roam and some other speaker in my house. I play music and the music plays on all speakers.  I pause the music or stop music for some period of time (more than a few minutes). I play music in the group again and the app appears to show all speakers playing music, but no sound is coming out of the Roam.This has happened repeatedly. It is a fairly easy fix: I can ungroup the Roam and then re-group it and it will start to play again. But obviously, that isn’t how the system is supposed to work.  Is anyone else having this issue or have any idea how to fix it?

Hi everyone,I was trying to check whether the newly-introduced Spatial Audio (Dolby Atmos?) would work on my Roam via my iPhone 12 (bluetooth) or not, and it was buggy (i.e., music did not start, or just play a few seconds, perhaps loading?). Beyond that, I also had streaming issues with what I believe were normal songs in Apple Music (no lossless).Any comparable experience, explanation, or fix?ThanksDan

This week 3 of my 12 or so Sonos speakers have started disappearing. I have done the usual turn off, then on, then restart the router.Here’s the weird thing - when I am using the “find missing speakers” function on my app, and I restart the router, the app “finds” the speakers every time. HOWEVER, on our other devices (other iPhones, other iPads) the speakers are still missing. Even when I am actually playing music on these speakers, the other devices cannot find those same speakers. I have tried restarting the apps, restarting the devices, deleting the Sonos app and reinstalling it, and same result every time. If I run the “find missing speakers” function on another device, then that device will “find” the missing speakers, but then they will disappear from the device I previously used to “find” those same speakers. In other words, if I jump through the “restart speaker” and “restart router” hoops, only one device at a time will “find” these missing speakers. Also of note - the “missi

Hi,Is it possible to connect roam to a bluetooth projector. I have a setup with a Xbox Series S, a bluetooth projector with BT 5.0 and a roam. I have tried connecting the roam to the projector which connects but there is no sound. Any suggestions?

I’m a bit irritated with Sonos at the moment.  Normal audio equipment should just work, and this has not been the case. Sonos says that OneSL and Beam are compatible with S2When I open the S1 app, it says an update is needed.  When I try the update, it wants to download S2.  Fine.  But when I open S2, it says my OneSL and Beam are incompatible!  So which is it?  In the meantime, I’m having issues where every few times trying to play music via WiFi, I am no longer able to do so, and some magic combination of rebooting the router, speaker, and time of day I guess, *sometimes* gets things working again.  I was hoping an update would resolve the issue, but the S1 vs S2 thing is stopping that from happening. My main question: Is there a reason my devices are showing up as incompatible with S2?​​​​​

I'm really struggling to use roam as a Bluetooth speaker. Spotify isn't a problem, but I can't get other media such as bbc sounds app or prime video to play through the speaker. I'm using a huawei Android phone, so airplay isn't an option. Any thoughts or solutions much appreciated! Cheers!
