I’m trying to get Atmos audio output (lossy, DD+ as it is routing through a normal ARC port) but have only been able to get Dolby Digital 5.1.  Hoping someone can solve the mystery for me.  Here are the particulars:PS5 with 4K UHD disc (Fury, has Atmos audio track selected) PS5 into HDMI #2 (on X900F, ports 2 and 3 are high bandwidth, 3 is also ARC).  Using HDMI cable that came with the Sonos Arc. HDMI #3 (ARC) to Sonos Arc (2 Sonos Ones also connected as surround sound channels).  Using 4K cable - with the built-in Netflix I can get the app to display “Atmos” with this cable so I don’t think that’s the problem. PS5 audio set to Dolby Disc audio (Options menu ...) set to Bitstream...and still getting just DD 5.1.  No Atmos. Any ideas?  I can find any more settings to mess with.

Hi,My setup is a Sonos Amp with two passive speakers and two Sonos Ones as surround speakers. The amp is connected to a TV via HDMI ARC.I use mainly Kodi for playback but have tested also with VLC to confirm the issues I experience. Kodi is running directly on the TV (Android) and VLC on a Mac.Dolby Digital 5.1 encoded music works perfectly and sounds great, also DTS music transcoded on the fly to Dolby Digital (transcoding supported by Kodi) works great.I understand that Sonos Amp supports DTS since a few weeks now, so I decided to give direct play of DTS tracks a spin. So far I have no luck, both Kodi and VLC produce no sound when playing DTS music to the Amp without transcoding.When I play DTS files with Kodi, the Sonos app does show that I am playing DTS Surround, even if there is no sound.Does anyone have a clue what is the issue here?

I am installing SONOS Application 13.4.1 on a macOS computer running Monterey 12.1.I noticed during installation that SONOS requested permission to the computer’s Security&Privacy/Privacy/Accessibility setting, presumably, in order to control my computer.I would appreciate an explanation as to what specific control or functionality SONOS would like access to in this regard so that I can determine whether to deny / grant it access.Thank you.  

I have a Sonos arc connected to a LG c1 TV . All good. I'm trying to play Amazon Atmos music on my Sonos arc from the amazon music app. When I use the app and cast  Atmos tagged music it reverts back to hd . It's only when using Amazon music through the Sonos app that it appears to be playing Atmos music , but the Sonos app is poor compared to Amazon music as it doesn't tag Atmos music very well.  Why doesn't it play atmos music on the arc through the Amazon app (when in its marked to do so ) I'm using android . What am I doing wrong

Every once in a while I get the error “The connection to Spotify was lost”, and then the song skips, tries to play the next in the playlist, and usually fails that as well.My setup is as follows:I have 3x Symfonisk speakers in an apartment of around 100sqm All three speakers use wifi. None are connected by ethernet cable Every other device in the house works flawlessly on our wifi. I can download at rates of several hundred MB/s anywhere in my home. Our Chromecast never exhibits the least hiccups. I’ve verified that there is no packet loss and very low latency, and no routing problems, no duplicate IP addresses on the network or anything else, and the wifi signal strength is excellent. I even upgraded our wifi router (which was doing a fine job for everything else) to a three-node wifi mesh solely because Sonos seems to use exceptionally poor wifi antennae, or for whatever other reason s

I have had my 2 Play:1s connected to a Playbar for several years with no issues. The system used a Bridge wired directly to my router. I recently removed the bridge and switched to the Sonos2 app (the Bridge is not compatible with the S2 app).Now I have no sound from the Play:1s. There is a Warning in the System Info under the Playbar listing which now states “Your wireless network will not support the use of a Sub or surrounds with your Playbar”. As stated, when using the Bridge and S1 app I did not have this problem.Can anyone please help?

Hello all,i have a question since i have home both sonos gen 1 and  gen 2 and distinct sonos networks.I would like to manage my old sonos gen 1 with an Alexa DOT in a dedicated room and manage all the sonos gen 2 with another alexa DOT in another room.My question is : Is it possible ?When i try to install the sonos plugin for Alexa, I have to chose between sonos network 1 or 2.Thank you for your support

Hi I have an old Play 5 speaker and a Play 3 one too.I’m using the S1 app for the 5 and the S2 app to control the 3 as i understand this is the only way to get both to work due to age.I’ve recently ripped some new cds and added onto my NAS drive (WD MyCloud) i can index them no problem on the S2 app but they do not appear on the S1 app when done so, so cannot be played on the 5. If i try to index on the S1 controller it just says to update itIs there anyway of resolving this ? So i can listen to my new purchases on the older Play 5 speaker ? 2nd questionI’m assuming that my Play 5 machine can only go as far as the S1 controller and doesnt have the capability to be run on the S2 app ?  Thanks in advance Ed

I just got this Sonos One speaker as a gift and it worked perfectly in my house wi-fi. However I’m a college student and I had to go back to my apartment. I added my MAC address into the website for the internet at my apartment and I was able to find my speaker and everything. It just cannot connect to the internet. I’ve tried for 3 hours now trying to reset it, making sure I typed the right MAC address and everything. 

i have purchased the Pro-Ject T1 Phono SB Turntable Five and want to listen to the vinyl via headphones as well.Any suggestions what amp/splitter i would need to achieve this?Any advise greatly appreciated.Thank you.

Hello there,recently I started having the issue that when I start playing a song or playlist on Spotify, all speakers will start (5 groups, 8 speakers), but after about a second, the song will only stay on one of the speakers and then gradually propagate to the other speakers.The speaker is stays on seems completely random, and it takes a good 20 seconds for it to be playing on all of the speakers again.This happens after automatic song advancement and manual skip. It also happens when skipping within a song.I haven’t changed the wifi router settings, not position, and there are no new devices causing interference (at least not in my apartment).Could you please take a look at diagnostic: 917604028 and see if there is anything I can do do fix these issues, as it’s very frustrating and jarring to the music experience.Many thanks,Nils

Volume down was working then just stopped. Volume up and mute works just fine. Using a TiVo remote. Tried pairing the remote again. Tried power cycling the arc and setting up the tv again. 

So I really thought I had this set up figured out. Surround with Arc, Sub and 2 x Sonos One. HDMI connection to HDMI Arc from Arc to projector. HDMI connection from the Apple Tv to other HDMI port of projector. The LG HU80KSW is essentially a smart tv in a projector package. But I can’t get the wired audio connection to work? I only get audio from Airplay which sounds fine, no lag so far. Why is the Sonos Arc not using the wired Arc connection? I know projectors are theoretically not supported, but the LG HU80KSW is just a tv in another format with a normal HDMI Arc connection. I have a feeling some people on here got this to work but I’m stumped. All the right elements are in place. Any ideas on what I might be doing wrong?

Hi Guys. Firstly, I tried to get this problem answered by Apple, but get nothing but the runaround from their support. While this appears to be a Home App issue, maybe one of the more technical people can help as it is also Sonos-related. I have a mix of HomePod Minis and Sonos Airplay-2 speakers scattered throughout the house. Some rooms only have HomePods, some rooms have only Sonos and some contain both. I want the ability to create a group that I can reference as a single entity and contains only the devices I select - for example, when I play music in a room that contains both Sonos and HomePod Mini, I only want the Sonos to play. Hence the need to be able to chose and pick which speakers are in the 'group'. Hi folks - I’ve recently purchased a Sonos Arc + two Sonos 1 speakers, and set them up with a Vizio P659-G1, and a Roku Ultra 4800R.One thing I noticed was that the I couldn’t hear the surround speakers very well when watching any content on the Roku. I also noticed that if I played Spotify via the Sonos app I could hear the surround speakers really well, but if I play the Spotify app via the Roku, I’m only getting Stereo PCM sound through it… And whenI play Netflix, or Amazon Prime, I see “Dolby Digital Plus 5.1” on my Sonos app.I started reading some threads here about Roku devices, and encoding, and what not, and I figured it might be easier to just ask a question here.Should the Spotify app on my Roku only output Stereo PCM sound? Or is that a limitation because of Roku or my TV?

Just got a Sonos Turnable and I want to know how can make it play to all my actual sonos speaker ? I don’t have Sonos 5 . Do I need to buy port Sonos ? Amp Sonos ? Or Sonos 5 ? just want to cheapest way to make my turnable sonos play to all my actual Sonos system ? 

Hi!  I just recently started using the Sonos arc while I was previously using my homepods for surround sound for my AppleTV.  Now when I try to add my HomePods to the audio with my Arc it creates the very echo-y sound.  Is there any work around to add the HomePods as Surround Sound in the App? I found a way to work around the the echo-y sound but then it limited the soundbar sound(no dolby etc) Any help would be great!  Thanks!

Hi,  I am using Android 12 and i can no longer clear the playback controls notification on my phone when Sonos is not active.  The only option is to force stop the Sonos app.  Anyone else found this with the latest Android update.  I know Sonos have said 12 is not yet officially supported.  Justed wanted to feedback that this issue exists.  Would be interested to know when an update for Android 12 is planned since the phones are starting to get it now. Cheers. 

When the battery of the Sonos Roam is dead and we plug it in, it takes a long time before it van connect tot the system. I would expect that such An expensive device would work immediately. Is this normal? If it is, this is a bit of a dissapointment.

After the latest android update on a samsung S20+ , when opening the Sonos app it displays the message that it needs to be updated,  when you press the update button it takes you to google play,  but there is no update,  I uninstalled and reinstalled but same issue.Now I don't have access to my sonos all or my sonos system :-(

Hello all! I have a beam and two Sonos ones set up for our audio in our living room. They are connected to our smart tv and we play music from our phones over the Sonos app no problem.  I purchased an audio Technica turnable (with built in preamp) for my husband for Christmas. I want to get it playing over our Sonos speakers. I think I need either the port or the amp to do this but I am confused by the descriptions. It looks to me like the amp is more expensive because it can power external speaker, but I want it to play on my existing Sonos set up.  I don't see it clearly written (in my opinion) that if I use the port and the line in connection that the port can connect to my beam and surrounds wirelessly? Is that what it does? I'm hoping to come up with a plug and play solution here. If I get the port, plug it in, connect it to my Sonos app, and stick the line connection to my turntable, will it play my records over my beam through the Sonos wireless ecosystem? Or I need to somehow p
