When I give my Beam Google Assistant a command to play music, it plays on my Play:5 instead.  The Play:5 sits below the Beam and is inputed from a turntable to play my old LPs.  That works fine.  The Beam is connected via ARC to my Samsung TV and works fine for TV audio also.  Both speakers are in the same room, with the Beam on the top shelf of the media center and the Play:5 below it.My question is: Why does a music voice command on the Beam play music on the Play:5 instead?  Also, why I cannot control the volume of the Play:5 from the Beam voice command.  I have to touch the Play:5 buttons to increase or decrease the volume.Thanks,

All the music avail thru Amazon Prime Music app will not play on Sonos Move. Example: “JS Bach St Matthew Passion” is avail on Prime but does not show up under search in Sonos app. Only limited sub-set of Bach music appears on Sonos app. I have successfully connected my Amazon account under the settings/services in Sonos app.  Have others had same experience? Alternatively, can Sonos speaker function solely as bluetooth connection (not thru Sonos app) to smart phone or is this too simple?

Yep, this is a common one, but previous threads are locked so looking to connect with a Sonos tech to send a diagnostic report to. I’m using the Mac client and a Play:1 speaker. Over time, the maximum length of a Spotify playlist has dropped for me. I don’t recall how big the working length used to be (maybe 5000 tracks?), but now it seems like I have to have my playlists under around 2000 tracks. E.g., a playlist of 3145 tracks which used to work now gets “Unable to add songs to the queue” when I do “Replace Queue”. A playlist of 1859 tracks does work, however.I have what should be a single 10,000 track Spotify playlist - I understand the max is 6750, so I should be able to split it in two and add each one to the queue, but I’ve previously split it into 4 playlists, and it seems like now I have to do it in 5 parts? Plus add my Amazon music, which would be near impossible one 500-track playlist at a time, so I have a bunch in a Sonos playlist...BTW, I’ve tried to play my large playlist

All setup with my new LG TV and Sonos Arc.Now let’s watch a movie in Dolby Atmos and hear all the greatness.1.) LG Setup with Sonos Arc via eARC LG 55” 4K qThin (Costco purchase) HDMI 2 == eARC (to Sonos Arc), HDMI 1 == Apple TV Plus 4K 2.) Neflix updated with Premium package.Netflix Premium HD Package3.) Startup a Netflix movie that has Dolby AtmosDolby Atmos audio movie - resume play… then… 4.) What does the Sonos S2 app say the audio is …? Huh?  No Dolby Atmos? Sad - No Dolby Atmos - bummer. 5.) I sent two diagnostics into Sonos while playing a movie that should display sound in Dolby Atmos.  Confirmation #: 430796926. Didn’t capture second one. 

A couple of questions re setting up the Sonos system to be able to automatically respond upon a voice request to play:Is it OK to keep Sonos Amp and Sonos Five always on, so that a request via Alexa to associated Amazon Echo to play something on the Sonos equipment (Alexa Group) can be initiated at any time? Or do you typically turn the equipment on each day just prior to asking for something to play? (Amazon Echo is kept on.) Does Sonos Amp and Sonos Five go to sleep after a time of not playing and do they automatically awake when the Alexa command is given to the associated Echo for them to play? (This, to save energy and potentially not overheat internal components vs the always full on state.)Thank you in advance.

Sonos only plays one sing when using playlist, songs, albums stored in computer even though and album is chosen as well as shuffle.  This is relatively new event in a six year old system.  Software is up to date.  The first sone of the album stops at the end with the triangle play button showing up again for the same song, not the next one in the album.  WiFi is with ten feet, up to date, working fine on other uses including streaming for TV (TV is off when using SONOS).  What am I missing or not doing?  It has worked well in the past...same equipment, nothing new.  Thanks

I just purchased the Sonos Arc, and would like to replace my playbar with the Arc. How do I move my playbar on my app to a new room and place the Arc in my “ living room”?thanks

Looking to use Amazon Echo to control Sonos Amp (and/or Sonos 5) via Alexa. I believe the Echo can be connected to the Sonos equipment by wire or wirelessly.Is there some advantages to using a 3.5mm to RCA (Amp) (or 3.5mm (Five)) cable to connect the output from the Echo to the input of the Sonos device (to have it play on the Sonos) vs setting up an Alexa Group to play the sound from the Echo to the Sonos? Would the sound when using a cable be better/worse quality compared to the wireless setup (for streaming music for example)? Overall, what would be the preferred way -- Wired or Wireless? (The devices will be close enough together that either way can be accomplished.)Thanks for your support.

I am looking at adding some Sonos products to enhance the music/radio playing capability in my home.Some questions:Is it possible to use Alexa voice assistant on an Amazon Echo to direct to play (music or radio station) simultaneously (and in sync) on a Sonos Amp (with 4 speakers) and a Sonos 5? Can I have it set up so I can just say “Alexa Play Song X”, and it defaults to playing on the Sonos Amp and Sonos 5 together and in sync. (I understand that it cannot play in sync on the Echo and the Sonos devices, so I would not want the music to play on the Echo when the Sonos devices are playing.) How would I set this up? Do I set up a Sonos Group? Alexa Group? Or Both? What would be the “Preferred Speaker” or “Controlling Speaker”, etc? Can I ask Alexa (via the Echo) to adjust the volume of play on these Sonos devices simultaneously? (e.g., “Alexa, Louder”.)   What if for preferred listening I would like the volume of the Amp to be louder and that of the Sonos 5 to be softer, or vice versa?

Hi,Recently I discovered that my Sonos Beam column kept adjusting back to volume 15 whenever I adjusted the volume louder. The range for volume is between 0 to 15. Anymore than 15 it will auto jump back to 15.  I do not have volume limit. I had also make sure my Sonos is up to date. I just submitted a diagnostic. My confirmation number is 257039574. Does anyone knows how to fix this issue? Thank you very much! 

My Sonos Move keeps turning off every time I take it off the charger. It says it’s fully charged but seems to power off every time it leaves the doc.I’d be grateful for any suggestions on how to resolve. Thank you. 

Hi All,I just bought a Sonos Arc and Sub and also bought a new Samsung 75" Class - Q6 Series TV. The TV comes with a eARC HDMI port and when i try to connect the Sonos Arc to the TV it does not detect the Arc. I see many articles that there is some compatibility issues with Sonos and Samsung. I am trying to know if anyone ran into similar problem and if you were able to get this resolved. Thanks!  

I have a Playbar as my audio device for my Pioneer plasma monitor. The Roku Ultra drives the audio (to Playbar) and video (to Pioneer plasma) to both devices. I’ve had this setup since 2016. I’d like to add Sub Gen 3. I do have the S2 app setup, but when I watch TV (streaming various apps from the Roku), I don’t ever touch the S2 app.Are there any issues using the Playbar with the Sub Gen 3 in this configuration?Thanks in advance.

I have two Gen 3 speakers I use as stereo in my LR. I’m getting a new TV and wondered if I purchase a Beam sound bar for the TV will I be able to use it to pay music along with the other speakers for a fuller sound. Will they all sync?  Other suggestions?

Hi all, I have a turntable that has no phono preamp. I think that rules out the Sonos port, will a Sonos amp do the work? Or it it overkill to just buy it to play my old LP’s? I have a lot of Sonos speakers all over my house and I’d love to play my records on them and listen to them from everywhere.  What’s the best solution you guys think?  Thanks in advance,Vincent Belgium, Antwerp. 

Hi,I understand that the Sonos’s official Atmos home theater setup would be Arc + Sub + One x 2, and One x2 act as the Rear Surrounds, but I do like the visual affect of hiding the Rear Surrounds inside the wall as Sonos Architectural by Sonance In-Wall Speaker can provide. But I am not sure in terms of sound quality as the Rear Surrounds and integration with entire Sonos sound system, would the In-Wall Speakers + Amp at the same level of Sonos One? Any Cons of replacing One with In-Wall Speakers? Appreciate your kind advice in advance!

I ordered a set of Fives on 3/04 with an order confirmation date of 3/11. Customer support has offered no delivery details and admits they have no information. Who at Sonos can tell me when my order will ship? 

hi, I have iPhone 6 and wanted to connect to Sonos Five and AMP Playing Sonos APP or Spotify :  I can play music from iPhone6 via Five or AMP. So, there is no issue. However,,Playing Apple music on iPhone6 : I cannot connect iPhone to Five not AMP.  Music is playing only in iPhone but it is not routed to Five or AMP. Actually, this behavior is happened right after I newly installed Five in my home.Before that, I am able to connect the iPhone6 Apple Music and AMP without any issue.And when I try other iPhone Xr or iPad 12, I am able to connect my iPhone Apple Music and FIVE to play apple music. No issues. So, seems like I cannot play music via iPhone6 Apple Music…. do you have any idea to solve?I am sure the music data is downloaed in local. Using LG Oled and AppleTV - I replaced Sonos Beam with two Play 5 gen 2 white speakers and Sub as room 2.  I added Sonos Port as Room 1. Using HDMI 2 ARC , the Oled Audio is fed to an HDMI to analog converter that uses rca to send the LG sound to the Port line in. Set up was easy and I use Port as room1 then add stereo paired room 2. Music apps sound amazing ! Controlling volume and mute with Apple TV remote works perfectly. Opening the Sonos App and adding rooms / changing volume etc works the same as with the Beam. Using the App I can visually see and hear the volume changes as I make them. When using the Apple TV remote to change volume … change is heard but the Sonos App volume sliders remain in place. Sonos Port line in volume changes are not displayed in Sonos App. Also I first tried a Sonos Connect but it is not supported in the current Sonos App. 

I store my music files on my PC and when I view the music library by artist I have a lot of artist names with only one or two tracks each on a compilation. They are contributing artists.  I there a way I can change the library settings so that contributing artist is ignored. 

In Sonia app touch controls are on, and I can change the volume in the app, but touch control buttons aren’t working on my sonos move.

I got a Play 5 recently and have been trying to play from my record player on it via aux, I'm currently living in the dorms at uni and am unable to connect to wifi to enable auto-play. I only want to use my speaker through my aux so I refuse to spend $50 on a travel router and never use it, my last option I believe is to use my hotspot from my phone to get the speaker setup and on autoplay so I can listen through aux but it hasn't been working and fails to connect and I need help getting it setup through hotspot. Thanks
