Listening happily to Paradise on new Sonos 5.  Picked up phone to see who that last song was by and the speaker had gone (but still playing). Both speaker and phone in same room. Really can't bear the thought of yet another IT faff with all that rebooting business. Going next door to my trusty Quad / KEF setup. Why do these things just go? Everything else in the house fine.

Hello. Looking for some advice regarding travelling with Sonos speakers and adjusting network settings versus just getting a Move with the current 30% discount.I'm planning a long weekend away with a big group of 20+ to a rural cottage in the UK.I thought I could take a pair of Era 300s with me and play music with bluetooth connected to my phone - Plex and access to my library / playlists on my NAS at home.I've never used the Era's bluetooth before or taken the speakers outside of my network - I thought you just needed to set up speakers initially on your home network before using bluetooth. I hoped the Eras would work as 'dumb' bluetooth speakers when used outside of your home network, like the Roam does. But reading into this I'm not sure if this is the case.Is it possible to use Era 300 in bluetooth 'offline' or away from your network? Could they be stereo-paired?If not, I was thinking of buying a cheap travel router and using the same network SSID I have at home. I would then plug

I am trying to upgrade my Beam soundbar but I can’t work out where to activate the credit. The Sonos page says to sign in and go to the upgrade page but I can’t find it.

My Sonos system used to work with Plex.  I had the Plex software installed on a Synology DS218+ running DSM 6.  I am using Plex for one reason only - to give Sonos access to my entire music collection.  I have some of my music in my Sonos library and the remainder in my PlexMusic library to access on Sonos via Plex.Two weeks ago Synology suggested that I update from DSM 6 To DSM 7. I installed DSM 7.  My current installation is:  Version: 7.1.1-42962 Update 6 After the installation of DSM 7 Sonos stopped working with Plex. I deleted Plex and tried a clean install. I created a Directory on the Synology titled PlexMusic to store my music files.  I put excess files that Sonos can’t see there. I verified that Plex is able to see this library which it has scanned and indexed .  I can view the library in the Plex app running on the Synology. I removed and added Plex back as a Music Source in Sonos. Plex does not work as a Music Source under Sonos.  When I click on Plex I receive the message:

I currently have an older Sonos surround system .. soundbar, sub and play 3’s & 1’s. I also have a Connect that I use as a passthrough to a Pair of Devialet Phantoms (Turntable→valve phono-preamp→Connect->optical out->Devialet Phantoms).I’ve just ordered the new Arc, Sub and Era 300 system and was about to click buy on the Port when I realised it doesn’t have an optical output :O I’m feeling suddenly snookered .. what can to do?I don’t want to replace the Connect with a Devialet Arch because I’ll lose the ability to also play vinyl through the Sonos system .. not to mention the trigger automation I’ve configured from the Connect to Phantoms that makes life extremely simple.I don’t even know how to tell what Generation my Connect is.Kev.  

Spotify offers podcasts, but I can’t find any in Sonos apps (iPad and android). Am I missing something ?

We are doing a full remodel and going to be adding Sonos.  We plan on having in wall speakers in living room, kitchen, den, and outside.  Wall speakers (or ceiling) require the “sonos amp” correct?  Other speakers, like sound bars, subs, etc., only require the “sonos port” correct?  Using sonos amp and port, we don’t need to also have a separate receiver do we? (yahama as example)?  Thank you.

What is the maximum pivot angle of these speakers? I have searched extensively and cannot find any info on this fairly important spec.

I have 4x One SL’s , a gen 2 Beam & a Roam , all of which need / are running on S2 . . . I have just bought for the garage a 2nd hand gen 1 Play 5 which needs S1 . . . I have had no joy setting up a split system . Any suggestion ?

I have several Sirius On Demand categories favorited on Sonos. They no longer have episodes available. And when I browse through the Sonos app, On Demand is no longer an option. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Can I use something like This to connect a turntable to my Beam (Gen 1), and then be able to use it in my Sonos System? If not, why not?

Just received a brand new pair of roam speakers. Roam, SLs. As expected, there is an issue.The left speaker’s microphone switch does not work, so therefore true play does not work for the stereo pair either.I searched Help and didn’t find anything.I tried online chat, but I would fill out all my information, then it would dump me back out and ask me for my contact information, over and over.I actually have a lot of things to do so it just like some help on this, if possible. I’ve spent quite a bit of money on these speakers (these aren’t the only ones).Thanks 

Hello i have an issue with my Sonos Beam. I just unboxed them an hour ago, the volume of the beam keeps going to max.The sonos beam is connected via HDMI arc to my LG OLED BX and no matter how I change the volume with my Apple TV remote, LG TV remote, or even Sonos app it goes to max volume .here is my log 1398699352 i have put my max volume to 20% in the meantime.  never had any issue with my Bose soundbar :( 

Hi there!Treated ourselves to a new Sonos Era 100 for Xmas and have been experiencing a frustrating issue with Alexa Voice Assistant as follows:Issue the wake up call ‘Alexa...’ and intermittently she will function as expected Every now and then she wakes up, performs the task all OK However randomly she will not let me respond and instead returns to the resting state I can’t replicate this behaviour using the Sonos Voice Control only with the Alexa Voice Assistant, so can only assume this issue is specific to Alexa & Sonos and is not a hardware issue..Also to confirm I have Amazon Echo products in the house working 100% fine with Alexa.I have a video recording of the issue here:Any ideas please?

Hello, I’have a Sonos home cinema (Beam2, sub mini, 2xEra 100), they are plugged onto a power strip. Can I turn the plug off when not in use or for the night, or is it not recommendend to turn the pluggs off ? Does it damage the Sonos system if it’s regurlaly turned off or unplugged ? Cheers

Hi, I have Samsung Qled QN88C 75 inch TV and own sonos amp with 4 ceiling speakers. I connect amp with TV using HDMI arc port and 4 ceiling speakers does work fine. But it stops the TV audio completely. Is there any way I can have audio output from TV & 4 ceiling speakers simultaneously.I can’t find anything in settings. Can optical connection make it work? thanks

Will the ERA 300 and Move speakers work nicely together in a single room ? 

I have two new Era100s and am having the same problem on both. I have never had this issue on my Sonos Ones. Alexa is enabled on the speakers. When you say the command word, the Alexa chime plays so that should mean it's listening, but we only get a response around 25% of the time. This happens when the room is totally silent as well as when there is background noise. I have noticed the music already playing doesn't quieten when Alexa is listening, as it does with the Sonos Ones, so I wonder if the voice assistant can't pick up what we are saying. Tried all the deregister/disable skill/reset fixes I can find, and moved speakers to different positions, and there's been no change. Any ideas anyone?

I have a beam set up in a living area.  While it is fine for TV watching I want to improve my hi fi audio experience.  Would it be better to add a single Five or two Era 100s....I'm thinking that the two Era 100s might give better stereo definition...I don't have the space (or Money for 2 FIVES

Hello, I'm a noob (ie.clueless) when it comes to audio.Sonos have 30% off upgrade offer and I'm tempted to get a Beam 2 to replace my Beam gen 1. The arc is out of my price range :(So, I have a LG TV with eARC, but I watch all my movies via streaming with Apple tv. Streaming means there would be no eArc difference on that front, right?I also have PS5 and Xbox Series X and I'm wondering would the Beam 2 give me much improved audio over the og beam for the consoles? Would eARC make any difference there?What, if any others advantages would the Beam 2 give me?I have two rear Sonos ones for surround in my setup, as well. If that makes any difference.Thanks for any advice!

I am upgrading my Sonos One stereo pair to a pair of Era 100s. I currently point my Sonos ones slightly towards the center listening area (i.e. slightly in towards one another). Should I do the same with the Era 100s or have them facing directly straight out into the room? I couldn’t find any guidance on this in the user guide. Thanks in advance!

I have a Sonos Beam Gen 1 that I bonded via the Sonos app with a pair of Sonos Play:1s positioned at the back of the room for surround sound. When I stream music from any source, the 3 speakers function as a surround set, as they should. But when I play sound from my Samsung TV, it only goes to the Beam (via HDMI eARC), as if the pair of Sonos Play:1s didn’t exist. Can someone advise how to get the TV sound to play through not only the Beam, but also the Sonos Play:1s that are grouped with it?

Found the Network Matrix just recently; looking first time last night everything was green except the Beam (LF, RF).  Checking it just now the Sub and the surrounds (LR, RR) have also gone red.  All in line of sight of the main mesh router.Anyone make heads or tails of this?
