I am curious if there is a way to play the sound from my Denon receiver on the Sonos system.   Example, I watch TV with Roku that plays through me Denon.  I’d prefer outputting that sound from the Denon to get better sound on the Sonos system.I have a bunch of Era 100s.Thanks for your expert ideas.

Hey, Everytime I try to view Spotify or Soundcloud in my Services it says cannot connect. I have deleted and re-installed the app. Rebooted the speaker and the wifi but still not working :(. It works fine on the mobile app and I need to use this app to browse and select and then it updates on the mac app. 

I’m having problems playing certain podcasts through Pocketcast. I’ve tried reconnecting several times. It’s only certain podcasts.  Is anyone else having issues? The apps that I’m referencing play fine on the Pocketcast app so  it doesn't seem to be an issue with Pocketcast. Is Sonos blocking certain podcasts because of politics or subject matter?

Hi guys. I have a room I use a a TV with surround, Beam, 2 play ones and a sub. I also have a play5 connected to a turntable. I liked to watch games with no sound and listen to vinyl on the surround. It worked great. If I put on a record the TV audio would stop and the line in would take over. I recently upgraded my 1st gen ones with one SLs and had to re-setup the groups to do the same thing. The problem is that now the line in on the play 5 works but the added group of the TV surround keeps dropping sound and going back to the TV. Some time 5min or 7mins or 2mins. No set time but it always happens. It’s driving me nuts. Does anyone have a solution? I know it works because it did just fie before I did the upgrade. Thank you

Hello I have a Beam gen 2 and a sub mini.  I would like to use my old surround speakers from Dynavoice with them in a surround system with my tv.  Is that possible? Can I connect them to my Sonos system or do I need to buy new speakers. 

I have a small wine shop. We have indoor retail space (1100 sq ft), an outdoor deck in the front 18x30 ft, and a small bench outdoors on the side. I want to stream background music in the 3 zones and manage volume separately. I currently stream Pandora for Business. Will 2 pair of outdoor speakers and the Amp work? How would I connect iPad/iPhone to stream Pandora? Bluetooth, cable? Or would I need another device?

If you're a Spotify user, can you confirm if you get the behaviour described below in the Sonos app (S2) when you follow these steps? Open Sonos (S2), go to your music services and open the Spotify service. At the top you'll have the "Good morning/afternoon/evening" section, which will contain a bunch of playlists and mixes. Tap on the heading (ie where it says "Good morning/afternoon/evening") I then see an error message : "No selections are available". Go back and, still in the Spotify section of the Sonos app, look for the "Recently played" section (not the Recently played section on the My Sonos page). You'll see a bunch of tiles for playlists/mixes/albums/etc that have been recently played from Spotify. Tap on the Recently played heading I now only see a single tile, for a playlist I haven't played in ages. Nothing else is shown here. Anyone else see this? It's been like this for a while. Tried removing Spotify, uninstalling and reinstalling the Sonos app, and no luck.

Hi,I was wondering if anyone can help. I play a 40hz pure sine wave through my Sonos sub at night to mask infrasound that I can hear. It works well when the audio file plays properly. However, it has started to 'pulse' for some reason. I also get a message flashing up on the screen of my phone saying that it's unable to play the file as it's not encoded properly but then then the message disappears quickly. I'm wondering if anyone knows what could be causing this. Could it be due to a weak WiFi signal? Would a Sonos Bridge help? My sub and Play 5 speaker are 8 years old so not sure if they would be compatible. The Loudness is off on the sub, I have increased Sub Audio to 6 and the overall system volume is at 3, so very low (just enough to mask the infrasound). Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I can see similar stories of this issue popping up here and on other forums but can’t see any resolution.  example:I’ve had the beam 2 a few weeks and started to notice a few days ago. First thing I noticed it on was watching Reacher on Prime Video.Two scenes across the series generated similar to what is described in this thread - squeaky metallic noise over voices which was really high pitched and coincided with talking. A few scenes later it was gone but it was really noticeable at the time and replying the scene it comes back. LG G2 TV - eARC HDMI - Oututting Dolby Atmos.Beam Gen 2. No surrounds. is this is a known issue or a hardware defect? Seems like some people have tried multiple units with the same issue?

I was reluctant in jumping in the sonos systems but two things bought me in:wireless - wifi capabilities being able to play music without having to keep another device connected via bluetooth.This is so frustrating. Exactly this doesn’t work. I’m using Apple Music as a streaming service.I have wired the Sonos Arc using utp cable and I get so often the song is not encoded correctly errors even after the song starts to play - plays for a few seconds then erorr and jumps to the new song.Other times the song plays ok with no problems.The quality of network transmission is top - gigabit bandwidth. No other streaming device fails (ipad, iphone, lg tv, mac, pc etc). I have 2 days left to return the sonos - I hate to do it because it sounds and looks good, but I’m tired of this errors. All the best.

Hello everyone! New owner of an Arc + 2 era 300s + Sub mini. When I play Atmos files on VLC off an hdd connected to the tv, the Sonos app shows Dolby Digital Plus 2.0. When I play Atmos videos on Netflix it shows Dolby Atmos. Xbox Series X shows Dolby Atmos too.Tv is a Sony X950G https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/sony/x950g and files are DTS HD MA TrueHD 7.1 Atmos. I have Passthrough set to Auto (other option is off). I have connected the arc to the E-arc port.

Is sonos capable of working with a sonos amp, sonos soundbar, sonos sub and wired outdoor  speakers?

Hello, I am wanting to get a sonos setup. The house is wired for speakers and outside. I'd like to get a sonos soundbar and sub along with using an amp for the wired outdoor speakers. Is this possible? 

Hi all,Set up: Sonos Arc, Sub (Gen 3), One + One SL paired rears (awaiting back order of 2 Era 300’s to replace as rear)TV - 2018 Samsung QE65Q9FN (ARC only). Supports Atmos through Dolby Digital Plus.I recently upgraded to the above Sonos setup from Gen1 Beam and I have been trying to get Dolby Atmos on streaming services for a few days. Finally managed to get Atmos showing in the Sonos app using a Firestick 4K Max to stream Netflix and Apple TV. It’s not showing for Disney+ or Prime TV but my understanding is this is because I don’t pay for the higher subscriptions on those; they are playing Dolby Digital Plus 5.1. I have enabled Dolby Atmos on my PS5 and tried some games that support Atmos, such as GTA V and Hogwarts Legacy but I can only get Dolby Digital 5.1 rather than Atmos or even DD+. When I try to select it on my TV audio settings they are blanked out. Does anyone know why I can’t get lossy Atmos on the PS5 with this set up. I understand without eARC I can’t get full Atmos bu

My set up is (was) Arc, Sub, 2 One SLs for surround.  1 of the One’s completely stopped working, not even getting power (swapped power cords and still nothing).  Of course I’ve had it 14 months so it’s out of warranty.So now i have 1 working One SL and Sonos doesn’t sell them anymore to replace the broken one.  Would pairing a new Era with my old One work ok for surround?  Not crazy about spending so much money to replace both One’s barely a year after spending the money on the original purchase.  12 month warranty is pretty pitiful for such expensive items.

Is there a feature to speed up play? This is a useful and common feature on other podcasts and audiobook apps.

Sonos Move is set up with other (wired) Sonos speakers and soundbars in an Alexa group called “downstairs”, controlled by an Echo Dot with a clock.  System used to work flawlessly but lately when I ask Alexa to play music, the Move does not play. It will only play if I ask Alexa to play SiriusXM. If I ask her to play any other music (Amazon, Apple, etc) all the speakers play, EXCEPT for the Move. I’ve performed all the suggestions such as disabling/enabling the sinus skill, logging in/out of both the Sonos and Alexa apps,etc etc. I don’t know what to try next?  And I don’t understand what changed to make it not work anymore. Help?

Whats the best way to get two wires into the one side of the adapter?  I’m having a hard time.

Is there anyway I can see the chapter list on Sonos app when i am listening to a book though audible? Currently I just have to press the skip or rewind buttons to find a chapter which is annoying if you need to go back say 20 chapters for the kids.Just want to be able to hit chapter 4 and go etc. Just seems such a long winded approach 

My B&W AM1 speakers have started to ‘crackle’, is it likely the Sonos Amp has overpowered them and blown the drivers? Thanks

I have a number of Sonos products which all work reasonably well EXCEPT my Sonos Connect Gen2.  It was purchased in 2019 and for the last year will not stay connected - either WIFI are hardwired.  I’ve done factory resets, moved to other locations, rebooted, etc. and it may come online for a while but eventually will display “not connected” just disappears from the Sonos app all together. The only visible symptom is the white LED flickers (not blinking) when it’s “dead”.  If I unplug it, it may come back online for an hour or two.I’ve pinged Sonos support several times and end up going through all of the basic troubleshooting to no avail.  Very frustrating for a product I pay a premium for to stop working in 3 years.Anyone have thoughts?  Thank you!

Hi ... my ~10year old zonebridge died, so I cannot connect to my Play:3 anymore.  Haven't purchased anything from Sonos in a long time, so I have no idea what my options are to connect to my Play:3 wirelessly.  What do you recommend? (The Play:3 is not near my router, so connecting via ethernet isn't an option)  Thanks!
