Just a quick and probably obvious question .. I have a old Play 5 gen1 and before I purchase a Proj-ect T1 turntable I want to be sure they are compatible using a cable . Is this a simple thing to setup ? All i have ever done is play Spotify through my Sonos speakers so haven't mixed it up much .  

Good day to all. I currently have a Sonos Arc connected to 2 Sonos Sub gen 3's and 2 Sonos Five's that are set up in my living room. All speakers/subs face the front of the couch. In addition I have 2 Sonos One SL's set up behind the couch for a full and immersive sound experience.  In the 4+ years I've owned the Arc, Five's, and Sub's I've never had a single issue with them. The SL's on the other hand seem to go out every 4 days, 2 weeks, and on occasion they'll last for months. I have to reboot my router and reset the SL's every time. This is not only for the 2 downstairs but the 3 additional SL's upstairs as well. (For context 1 SL upstairs is paired with a Sonos One with Alexa, the other 2 SL's are paired together on the other side of the beedroom) All devices are connected to a Netgear Nighthawk MR80 WiFi mesh system with 2 satellite's. I have recently have had someone play music from my sonos in the middle of the night. Everyone was asleep so it wasn’t anyone in the house. Can someone that doesn’t have the app somehow access my sonos speaker through AirPlay? If so, how do I prevent this from happening. 

Hi,I want to buy a Sonos Port Streamer to plug my own analogue speakers and my turntable. But can I add my Era 100 box too (on top of the analogue speaker) to add an extra (3rd) speaker, or is that not possible?

Is there a chance of implementing a feature for access control on the Sonos Amp so that individuals can only access it with permission granted by you?

hello,i have the sonos playbar, sub and a set of play one’s. recently the subwoofer stopped working. it is connected however there is not sound. i can control from the app but it does not make a difference-no sound. i have deleted and re connected a few times, the app is up to date, tried power cycling and still nothing.any help would be appreciated.

Hi. I had in issue with One that is still present on Beam 2. I can’t add Tidal to the Sonos App (connection error). Neverthless, Tidal sees the Beam and I can play music (it was very shacky on Sonus One, seems to be better on Sonus Beam) and also I can see it (the Tidal Song I’m playing) in the SOnus App. But every time I stop, everything starts again:the Sonos app ask again to add Tidal (with username, password and so  on) the registration is fine but connection error when I switch to the Sonos App-Tidal sees the Beam- I see the song in the Sonos App. Somehow it works, but I would like to add Tidal to the Sonos App.  

On the S2 app you can pair 2 ERA100 to an ARC soundbar but they instantly go as a  pair of Surround. Is it possible to make them be a sound Copy of the ARC bar instead? so i can install the ERAs on 2 different place and listen to what is played on TV ?

Hi,I just purchased a CR200 controller to use with my Play:3 speakers. I downgraded one speaker to S1 and got it installed on the S1 app. Works fine. Now I wanted to connect the CR200 after I did a factory reset and place it in the cradle. So I went through the setup and pressed the play/pause and + buttons on the speaker to connect, but nothing happens..Saw some old posts about it, but there were no fixes. I did read somewhere that an old software version below 4.2 may not work on more recent Sonos systems. But thats a bit vague... What is 'more recent'? And where do I check this on the CR200? I can only enter setup mode, nothing else.Please help, because I paid quite some cash for it. Thank you!

I am looking for recommendation on speakers and placements for my room. I’m only interested in music as there is no tv in this space. There is a design layout of the room below. I can imagine a lot of different configurations from speakers on the 2 cabinets on the shorter walls to 1 speaker in the corner radiating  out to both and have even seen suggestions for 2 speakers at the end of each leg. Speakers on the cabinets or floor or wall mounts?  If multiple speakers I want them to work well together not cause sound interference if you move across the space. A variety of music could be listened to depending on the occaission from classical and jazz to pop, rock or blues or anything really.  What is your ideal set up or what compromises would you make depending on the details. Thanks!  

Sonos Move will play when I ask my Echo Dot to play music on that speaker, however when I ask my Echo Dot to play music in the “downstairs” group the Move is in, all the other speakers will play, but the Move does not.

Since i is both legacy and current models in my home, I use the S1 controller app. Lately, however,  I've been encountering some issues with my Sonos system, and I wonder if this has to do with using S1. The issues I encounter are:1. Play 5 gen 1 units can no longer access my NAS Music Library. But, if I play my library through, say a One or Move, then group the Play 5 units with it afterwards, then okay it works. 2. Date and Time settings can not be set anymore. Even after checking "Select Time from Internet", this setting is not saved. Consequently, Alarm settings don't work. 3. When playing a song from my NAS Music Library, the subsequent song plays but continues to show the previous title, album cover. To show details of the current song that's playing,  I have to close the app and reopen.I wonder if support for S1 is no longer 100% to slowly push users towards ditching their legacy units and replace them with new models?

HiQuick question if I may? I recently bought a wall mounted jukebox and connected through my sonos set up (2 play 1’s, sonos sub and sonos beam) via a sonos port using speaker out on jukebox. The jukebox is basically a rebuilt windows touch screen pc. The jukebox has a Karaoke function and I wanted to know how I could introduce wireless mics to the system also if any ideas please? Someone suggested using a splitter on the port but I fear this would blow the port phono in as the wireless mic phono receiver is battery powered. Thanks in advance

I had a Samsung 65 in 7000 series TV and the Samsung IR remote was paired to my Sonos playbar. The screen went out, so I bought a Samsung 8000 series for the voice remote. It appears that the 8000 series comes with the Samsung one universal remote that is pre-programmed to RF, but it is capable of IR output. I cannot find settings in the TV menu that will allow my Samsung remote to have IR output to control the Sonos Playbar. Can anyone help?

Hi, I’m a newbie here and new to Sonos. I’ve been using Logitech Media Server (LMS) for music at home until recently.I have a big library of MP3 files that I want to copy to a NAS drive that I have just installed on my home network. That’s all working fine and I can index some initial test content OK in the Sonos Music Library.I can see that Music Library has fewer options to configure than LMS had around how the music is presented - particulary over compilation albums and multi-disc albums. I obviously want to minimise the amount of re-tagging that I have to do and would welcome advice.I found a thread on here about compilation albums and it seems I can’t rely on the COMPILATION=1 tag that I had used in LMS, and instead need to use ALBUMARTIST set to “Various Artists” along with other settings about how albums are grouped to achieve the same effect. I’ve got that working OK and it will need a fair bit of re-tagging of my content but that’s OK.The one I’m not seeing an easy way round i

Help,  sub was unplugged, plugged back in and now showing up as Sub2 but not connecting

My order was filled on Feb 29th, 2024 and the status moved to “allocated” immediately. 2 Era 300 speakers however were backordered and were expected ship from March 3rd, 2024. Ironically the Era speakers were shipped ahead of the other products (Sub, Arc and 2 Era 300 stands) on March 2nd, 2024.  How is backorder tracked and tagged? What do these allocated statuses mean? Would it stay in this status until their inventory has these products to ship? Would the approximate ship date change in the process? Right now clueless as to how this whole thing is unravelling as I am eagerly waiting for my home theatre set

I have recently purchased a pair of Era300 speakers however the connection to wifi is extremely unstable and i keep getting signal drops. i dont belive it is my wifi as i am able to use other devices with no loss of signal. Can anyone suggest what the problem is as i have tried resetting it several times and its too late to return for a refund. i use as s23ultra phone which has the sonos app on it.

Hi I just bought my wife a ProJect T1 Phono SB linked to a Sonos 5. When playing a disc at least once per side, the sound reduces drastically  and all I can hear is a low barely amplified sound. It last for a few seconds then resumes. Any ideas? Really irritating. ?Static build up, dust?  Speaker works fine.

Hola, Tengo una Sonos Beam desde hace años conectada a la TV y mi intención era conectar otro altavoz para mejorar ese sonido en otra ubicación en la misma habitación.He probado un Sonos One SL y para mi sorpresa y después de hacer mil pruebas y llamar al servicio al cliente de Sonos me dicen que uno no puede conectarse pero dos si. Como?. No lo entiendo. Dos sí y uno no?. Lo voy a devolver evidentemente.Gracias. 

I have been enjoying Sonos Roam for almost a year.  Recently i brought it out  on a vacation with me.when i got back,’the voice assistant ceased to work hence i uninstalled the option then tried to reinstall tthe function but to no avail. I have tried todo it again maybe 30 times still no go. I have hard reset the sonos, logged out my account, turn on bluetooth  reboot my mesh network still no go.. Help help please. What else can i do.

My Sub Mini suddenly stopped working.  it is connected to my network but it says that it is not registered   When I try to rectify this it says that ”IncompatibleSoftware VersionsThe version of the app you're using isn't compatible with your Sonos system, so some settings have been disabled. my iOS app is fully up to date and when I check for device updates it says that there are no issues.  any suggestions?

I’ve got a setup with 6 Sonos Connect units in 6 different rooms each of which have an amp and speakers connected to them via optical output connection. All are wirelessly connected to each other with just one unit connected via ethernet to my home network for direct internet access. Which then relays that access via Sonos’ own wireless network between units. Max distance between any of the units is 20ft or less. Everything has always worked flawlessly when playing something in any one room using the Sonos S1 app and a streaming service. However whenever I try to group 2 or more rooms to play the same audio regardless of the streaming service all the rooms are out of sync by as little as half a second to as much as a second or more. How can I get the whole house to play the same music in unison and all synced up? Nothing in the app allows for delay adjustment when streaming. Only for using line-in which doesn't help me. Only thing I can think of is having to hard wire each unit and dis
