Hi - I am trying to setup a new PORT to my Denon stereo system that consists of a receiver, CD player, and Tape player - I want to connect so anything I play on the CD/Tape players will play on my Sonos speakers throughout my house. I looked thru the questions here, but honestly I can't figure it out - any help would be appreciate. Thanks!

Has anybody recently gotten a response from Tier 2? I called on Thursday last week (10/3/24), wasted my time with Tier 1 (as usual), and they said Tier 2 would email me to set up a time. Well… a week later, no email. *** in Tier 1 say the request was put in. Is Tier 2 really  that backed up?If Sonos reads this, your tech support is shameful. I had the same problem I’m trying to fix a few years ago and it took Tier 3 to fix it. This is also the exact problem of adding the library that the update caused but I had it before all this as well and Tier 3 was able to fix it. But obviously, Tier 2 has to respond first. Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.

I setup 2 Sonos systems last week for my customers (2 x Sonos Amps for 1 job and a Sonos Arc with a sonos Amp for the other) both of these systems I setup with my account. After completing the installation and handing over to the customers I was unable to transfer the account. After pressing the transfer account button pressing the continue button the app did not go to another page to proceed.

If I have one single line in source (let’s call it a record player), and 5 Connect:Amps.I’d like the single line in signal to be used by all the Connect:Amps so can be heard in all rooms simultaneously. For what it’s worth, all the Connect:Amps are in the same location.I feel this is probably going to be either straightforward or not possible? Thank you!

Hi, I've connected my ERA100 successfully to my phone via Bluetooth and WI-FI. Now the reason I bought this product is because I want to use it when camping in a field with friends. As I have an Anker power pack and solar panel I want 24 hour music with better quality than a wireless speaker. My question:-  is it possible for a friend to connect their phone to the ERA100 via bluetooth without WI-FI or having the Sonos app installed on their phone ?

My Play 1 has no power at all

Good morning to you all,In a nutshell :Is using from Play-5 local source input but without wifi / internet , possible or not ?Let me explain:For one day, I would like to take one or 2 SONOS Play 5 (2nd gen.) from my home to be able to play a ‘virtual organ’, which is an app on my iPad, during an orchestra rehearsal. The iPad is connected to a midi keyboard by a USB cable to avoid any latency. The organist plays on this midi keyboard.I have a few questions about this projectI'm connecting the stereo headphone output (3.5mm stereo minijack) on my iPad to the local source input on the Sonos play 5. Is this possible without using either Wi-Fi/internet or the Sonos App?   If so, am I guaranteed not to add latency by using this local analogue input?   Will I be able to adjust the volume using the usual buttons on the Sonos Play 5?   Can I also use a cable that sends the left channel audio signal to one Sonos play 5 and the right channel audio signal to the second Sonos play 5?  Thank you in

I recently tried to create a new alarm, just to notice that everytime I choose a song I get thrown out off the alarm and won’t be able to choose a song for the alarm.

When I sign in as an account, I can’t transfer ownership of the system, which means I cant set alarms or add/remove speakers from the “system”. I also cant play anything else than the Sonia radio! (I have a play:3)

Hi - looking for help as I haven’t found a solution online. I am hanging a Samsung Frame above a fireplace. I have power where the TV is going and would like to install a recessed box with power behind the TV. I need to mount a Sonos Arc underneath the TV and run power up to the TV that meets code. I don’t have power below or near the soundbarA solution like Legrand or other dual outlets won’t work as I don’t see how that can hook into the recessed box. Seems as if a single connection option is needed - power from recessed box at TV down to soundbar.i have to assume there is a solution. Any ideas someone could help with?Thank you very much!

Hi all, just bought a lovely Play 3 ... but it's on the Sonos app and I need to downgrade it to Sonos S1. I'm following the instructions in the Sonos app but get continual error messages when trying to do the required update. Any help welcome.

For the past few years, my both my playbars attached to identical TVs have worked fine, then a few months ago, they both started stuttering playing TV audio.  3-10 seconds of stuttering, or choppy audio every 5-10 minutes.  It suspect a sonos software issue that was introduced in an upgrade, but i don’t konw.  I tried reseting, powering off everything.  I tried lchanging the audio format, I tried compressed Audio, I changed to Stereo (which would be dumb as everything is supposed to support surround)  I have a playbar, sub, a one and a one SL in each room, both have the same problem.  All apps have the same problem, the TVs are TCL.

Prior to the new Sonos app, when speech enhancement was turned on, it stayed on until turned off. Now I find it gets turned off randomly so I end up checking it every time my television is turned on. Curious if anyone else has experienced this.

I just hooked up my 6 era 100 speakers to my cd player with a preamp. i had cd music from all 6 speakers until I unhooked player and then tried to re establish contact.  I can now only get play from direct line speaker.  How do I reconnect all speakers?

I know nothing is truly “future proof”. But thought about how my dad’s old speakers were still usable 50 years later because they shared a common standard wiring and plugs.  what happens to a Sonos speaker once we get to wifi7? Or WiFi stand v10 and beyond?I’m assuming there’s some degree of firmware updates. But is there a possibility sooner rather than later the hardware/wireless radios might become unusable with a new standard?

So I have studiously avoided upgrading from the S2 app (16.1).  My Era 300s and Arc are working just fine etc. so waiting until the Sept release of the ‘New’ App to see if they get everything straightened out in the app.I have a pair of Play 3s that have been in the closet for a few months (replaced by Era 300s)  and I brought them back out today and tried to use them and the S2 app says they need an upgrade which I am afraid to do cause I think it will mess up the S2 app and put my other working stuff at risk. Can I do the upgrade the Play 3s are asking for without messing up everything else or is it all one bucket and you have to do it all if you change any of it?Thanks!

Recent update no longer has the surround sound sliders. In addition the distance options have disappeared. See image. Anyone know how to get them back?

I've recently been thinking about buying the Sonos Ace, my only doubt about the purchase is the possibility of using spatial audio and Dolby Atmos even without the Sonos soudbar to watch films from Apple TV or iPad Pro.Is it possible to use this function without a soundbar like the Beats Studio Pro?

Can't connect to my shared music folder on PC. In the description it additionally says the path name should be \\computer name\shared folder. In the app on my Android phone it says: //computer name/shared folder. Which is correct backslash or forward slash?RegardsBirger

Hello. I’ve recently switched my broadband from Virgin Media to Plusnet. They sent me a Plusnet Hub 2 router but I can’t get my Sonos Play 1 to connect to it.Using the app, I’ve gone to “System Settings”, then to “Set up a new System”, selected my Sonos and clicked “Add”, connected my mobile to the temporary network, heard the chime, pressed the green button, then on the “Now let’s add your Play:1 to your Wi-Fi” bit, it’s saying “We couldn’t connect to ...”I’ve tried connected router to Sonos with an ethernet cable but that doesn’t work either.Any ideas?

I have a second hand Sonos Connect which I would like to add to my Sonos One speakers to play CD/DVD from an old music system. When trying to add the Connect it tells me it is not compatible, I have tried the S1 app but it always wants me to upgrade to the S2 app. Is there a simple way to do this. i am 70 years old so a simple explanation of how to get this working would help. Many thanks in advance

I am able to successfully pair my Move 2 to the app and wifi network. I then get the message that it may not show in my system and tells me if that is the case to hold down the power button for 5 seconds, to basically reboot the Move 2. Then turn the move 2 back on and add it into the system. But it never shows up.  I’ve tried the reset, updating the app, opening/closing the app, etc. still won’t show up. What do you do from here?

Hello, I currently have a Samsung tv that does not support optical. First step in my troubleshooting was to buy the Sonos official optical adapter. Adapter did not support E-Arc nor did it support sound. After speaking with Samsung support they said I’m going to need an Audio extractor that is powered so that the e arc channel can register power is applied. Non of these options have worked. I’m pretty competent with reading schematics as I’m an Aviation Electrician, however this Sonos system is very limited and I just bought this tv and my Sonos ray is outside of its return policy. Any tips or troubleshooting I can do on my end to get these systems to work?

How can I listen to Radio Sonatica (http://sonatica.fm) in UK?It doesn’t show up in a station search using the Sonos Android app. When I try to play Radio Sonatica on TuneIn using the web, TuneIn says I am not in the right region or country to listen to it. I am not sure where it is based or why this is a problem. Is there a way to get around this?

Once again you do an update and the system is crap.  Speakers. Dropping out all the time take for ever for the app to connect to my music and radio stations go off more than on.   adjusting speaker levels take for ever. Open up the volume and by the time you get to the speaker you want it closes and you go again we never had any of these problems.   Bought new speakers and other bits. Wish now I never did  come on sort this out
