Is Sonos working on an update to fix these random drops?  I’ve had Sonos for over 12 years and upgraded all speakers when we moved about 3 years ago. I’ve always been such a Sonos advocate but I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone. What is being done to correct these issues?  This is not a WiFi issue and it is not a latency issue, it is a Sonos latest app update issue that is wrecking the value of the whole system. I’ve been on with Sonos support for over 1.5 hours and they basically gave up. Please help!  

All of a sudden, no longer hearing audio from eras 300 surrounds and from both subs on arc ultra living room setup. I see Dolby atmos logo playing in the Sonos app for the room. Those 4 devices all showed the mute green icon at first while audio was playing out of the ultra only, after a reboot and repair there’s no green led, but there still no audio from them. ear is right next to speaker, surround and sub volume set to max (going up and down only makes a difference on the ultra). Using Apple TV 4K which has worked great with plex with content I can see Dolby atmos getting streamed. Playing on a Samsung s95b I’ve set up to pass through audio in the past. what can I do? Is there a way to determine if you’ve hit the metadata limit?  I am only at 35K songs but do have a fair number of classical music which apparently has a lot of metadata.  Is there a way to only update certain songs/playlists/genres so I skip the classical?

Hi,Running dual subs (one Gen 3 and one Gen 4), and noticed in the app it gives me only one control for both subs.  Meaning…..the crossover setting is there only once, and the phase setting is there only once. So...why wouldnt I be given the ability to set crossovers differently?  and are both subs phased the same?  wouldnt you want to have the phased opposite for best impact? I am no expert, and am open to all feedback. Thinking I might add a second AMP so I can control my second sub the way I want.  Does that make sense? TIA Moderator edit: Changed “One Gen 3 and one Sub 4” to “one Gen 3 and one Gen 4” for clarity.

I am building a new house. There is currently no drywall so i am able to audio everywhere. My plan is to do 8 speakers in the living room, 2 in the master bedroom, few in the patio etc. My question is, how do i wire 4 speakers to 2 channels from the amp? Do I just go + to + on 1 architectural in-ceiling speaker and follow that to the + on the second speaker? Same for -? Thank you!

Hi All,This is a security question for the security concsous amongst us. I realise i sound like a paraniod android but I’m currently being cyberstalked and have reason to believe I have RAT (Remote Access Tool) malware on my home networked machines, phone and ipad.Some of these RATS are known to repopulate themselves to unsecure devices connected to the network that its on. For instance Smart Speakers, Smart Cameras etc. I know that a conversation i had with someone was heard by what i think is my Sonos Move 2 but i have no way of knowing for sure. So i am ultra paranoid.So far i have purchased a new laptop, new iphone with new sim and number, new router and now a new sim card as i use a 4G router. I found out all of these can share a RAT infection if they are on the same network given the right RAT Software.I have a lot of digital accessroies one of them being the sonos and im reluctant to get a new one if i dont have to, Can anyone difinitivly tell me if its possible for one of these

HiI’m still very, very, very mad at SONOS for the ******** they are putting us customers through with the new app and the way they communicate. I wish they’d roll back to the old app. But I know nobody at SONOS cares.Anyway. My Music Library (on my MacBookAir with OS X) works on SONOS for Mac OS X. However it doesn’t appear on iOS iPhone.Same at my mom’s house. She has her Music Library on a NAS (WD My Cloud, set to SMBv2). The music library works on her Mac Mini on SONOS for Mac OS X. However it doesn’t appear on iOS iPhone.Is it just us or hasn’t SONOS fixed Music Library for iPhone iOS yet?Anything I could try to make it appear?I already wasted hours (thanks SONOS!) trying different things. But nothing worked. Systems are all up-to-date. 

I own a number of Play One and Play Three devices, plus one Era 100 that I bought specifically to add Apple airplay functionality to the system. Until quite recently, whenever I had all my devices grouped together in the Sonos app, I would be able to go to Spotify, select the Era 100 device as a target for AirPlay, and music would play on all devices simultaneously.  Now, however, whenever I do the same through Spotify, only the Era 100 device plays, it gets kicked off the group, and the other devices remain silent. if I go to group the devices together in the Sonos app, nothing happens.this is a serious problem for me, especially considering that I bought the extra era 100 device specifically to be able to use airplay on the system. I’m not interested in using the Sonos app to control my music, and I am not interested in using the open play directly to Sonos’s group” functionality on Spotify due to reliability issues.

In Sonos App the battery level percentage is no more shown. How can is it possible? Thanks a lot for help

I have a Sonos Arc - when it arrived both of the oval caps at the ends of the speaker were slightly loose. When I tried to reattach them they completely detached. I am unable to push them back in and properly secure them. Any ideas or solutions?

I recently upgraded two One speakers used as surrounds in my living room to two Era 300 speakers. The Ones have been factory reset and removed from system. I installed the Era 300 speakers in the same positions as the previous Ones and connected. When I try to add the Era 300s as surrounds they are not an available choice. I can only find other Ones I have in the house as well as my Amp. All updates are complete, app is the most recent, and the Era 300s are not in stereo mode. I've removed Sub and tried to add Era 300s and still nothing. The only thing I haven't done is factory reset the Beam. It doesn't really seem to make sense. Any ideas?

Hello,Can someone please tell me if it’s possible to connect a Sonos Roam 2 to my Xgimi Horizon videoprojector via bluetooth and then connect the Sonos Roam 2 to my Sonos Ray Soundbar via wifi and the phone app. That way can I have the sound from the video projector on the Sonos Ray Soundbar AND maybe the Sonos Roam 2 without any delay? I’ve attached a drawing to explain.Best, 

Sonos One can play music from my phone, can command Alexa to provide weather etc, but when I ask ask Alexa to play radio station (eg. Radio 4), it replies “playing radio 4 (or Times radio or whatever) but then there is just silence. I have just changed my router but presumambly that is ot the problem as Alexa reponds, but it just doesn’t play the radio stations.Any help would be appreciated.

WHen I update my music library (which is mainly held in Itunes - copies of CDs, playlists etc), the Sonos desktiop app now creates duplicate ‘playlists’ - although each new version is not necessarily the same as the original or even (in some cases) even remotely similar. I tried updating a couple of times before I clicked that each time I updated the library another random duplicate-which-isn’t-a-duplicate would appear, so my music library is now a disaaster area and even less use than it has been since the May Outrage.I see that somebody raised a version of this query three monthsm ago and got a ‘best answer’ from SOnos of (1) we know it’s a problem from 16.3, and (2) we don’t know when we’ll get around to fixing it.I’ve pretty much stopped using Sonos at the moment, so I haven’t been following the update management. Is there anybody still  there and are we still expecting our systems to  work again as they once did?  Is there a work-around useable by anyone other than IT professional

I use a Sonos Beam and notice significant differences in volume when switching between channels. Is there a way to set a general output level to avoid these variations?

In my restaurant we have Sonos Era 100 speakers set up. We pay for premium Pandora and somehow still get ads after every couple songs. Its extremely irritating. How can I fix this? We have reinstalled Pandora multiple times and reconnected it to the premium account. No idea what to do next. 

I’m really frustrated with the ongoing issues with playlists on Sonos. They started "working" for a brief period, but now it’s back to constant problems.Sometimes the playlists just don’t appear in the app at all. Other times, only two playlists show up, and the rest are completely missing. I can’t even add any new music to my playlists, which is beyond annoying.To make things worse, the playlists seem to be fine on the Windows app, so it’s clearly an issue with the mobile app.I’ve had to deal with so many bugs and glitches over the past few months, and it’s getting really frustrating. Is there any chance this will be fixed properly, or are we stuck with this unreliable service?Anyone else having these problems? It would be good to know if Sonos is even working on a solution, or if we’re just left hanging.Thanks in advance for any help or updates!
