My playbar optical lead falls out It plays ok when I hold the lead in place. Sonos want £200 for a repair/swap. How can I take the playbar apart to repair it. I have removed the two screws in the fixing key hole slots. Is there a hidden third screw under the serial no label. I am electricaly competent having built power amps and DACS. Does anybody know a supplier for a new optical socket? Thanks Bill mac

Is there any plan for the Sonos speakers to work with Google Voice Assistant like Alexa? I am currently own several Play 5 speakers so can Sonos make that current product line to work with voice control as well (Alexa/Google Assistant/Siri/Cornata).

Hi. Would it be possible to make it so you can adjust the eq sliders ect by tapping the plus and minus as i find the current method frustrating when dialing in my sound. Also an increase in the resolution of the controls would be nice too.

I bought myself and my father a sonos one. I set my sonos one up at home after 2 attempts and a factory reset I have got it working I can play music manually through Spotify I can use alexa I can use tune in and I can use the limited skills that sonos allows. I get the impression a lot of the skills such as "routine" and "national rail" etc do not work on sonos yet. This is not a huge issue. It doesn't really hinder my usage but for some reason whenever I open my sonos app which I try to do to see what I am doing differently to my dad I just get a " we cant connect to Sonos" "lets try some things" screen... the "things" do not fix it but I'm not overly fussed as my sonos works and it does what I want it to do. THE BIG ISSUE is my dads. He has the exact same system. I have set it up and factory reset it over 15 times and tried every possible order. I have deregistered everything and restarted. I have been told since the anoucment that my investment in Sonos would include Amazon Echo features. Unless I am missing something Sonos has stated that all of my Sonos One are obsolete and I will need to purchase new Sonos Ones if I want Amazon Echo features. Am I missing something? Is this what I just read? Please tell me that my existing Sonos Ones are upgradable?

I have a Sonos Playbar and a Sonos one and there are two behaviors I am curious about. 1) When I group the Playbar and Sonos One, if I pause the TV, the grouping breaks when I resume play. This also happens when I switch to listening to music using Alexa. So, at times, there is some confusion about which device the volume should come out of. 2) If I have these same two devices are grouped, and I raise the volume on the TV (using the remote), only the Playbar volume increases. So I have to use the App instead to increase the grouped volume. Are these 'normal' behaviors or is there a 'fix' for them...or something I should do differently?

When music is playing through any of my Sonos speakers, and someone issues a command to the Echo, all Sonos speakers mute. Is there a way to change this? The idea is great, and I'd be perfectly happy were it set up to mute what's playing in the room with my Echo. But if I'm on my rooftop patio, listening to music, and my wife is in the kitchen and asks Alexa to set a timer, it's annoying to have the music I'm listening to mute as well. I can't seem to find any settings in either the Alexa app, Alexa Sonos Skill settings or Sonos app to control this behavior at all. It's particularly frustrating when you have a four year old who thinks it's hilarious to repeatedly ask Alexa to tell him a joke. Over and over and over again. So when that happens, it's next to impossible for me to enjoy music on my patio. I have a Playbase with Sonos sub and when listing to music the system has a full, loud and wonderful sound. When listing to anything from Apple TV, the volume level seems to be about half that of the music. Netflix is what I tried last night. First listing through the Apple TV then Netflix from our Sony Smart TV. Using the same movie from each source provides two very different volume levels. Great sound from the Netflix app on the TV but poor sound from Apple TV. Also the sound is poor from my Sony blu-ray player. Tried upgraded optical cable but that did not work. Any ideas?

hello, recently, my sonos started adding all songs i play (i usually play from the music library) to my queue. when the selected songs finish playing, sonos plays the queue - so sonos plays my selections twice. if i don't clear the queue, new songs are appended and the replay gets very long. how to i tell sonos not to add songs to the queue, and/or not to play the queue after it completes my current selection?

Hi, It seams that to use spotify with alexa I have to link my account to alexa. It really, for me, not clear how to do this. I goes to my alexa account, settings-> music & Media and I can't add any service. When I select "Chose default music service", I can see Spotify, but I'm not able to select them. regards Stefano

Check it out, I was sitting at my computer with a glass of wine when my spastic toddler knocked over my wine glass breaking it and sending wine every where. How would I know if my Sonos got wet? There was a little on the top of the speaker, but what if some made it through the grate? Clearly, if a good size amount got in there it wasn't obvious. I inspected it visually and saw 3 or 4 tiny drops on the side, and yes I've even ran my nose over it to see if I could smell any significant wine residue. Nada. Everything seems to be fine, other than Alexa maybe not being as quick to respond. However that could just be my paranoia. Im going to check my warranty and see if I should just send it back, or do you think Im just being a freak and I need to chill?

Got my Sonos One this week, and having occasional problems with connectivity. I have a question ... Does the Sonos One work entirely through the Sonos mesh network, or does it use the normal WiFi as well? I ask because after setting it up I moved it to an area in the house that has limited WiFi signal, but has good Sonos mesh signal - it's about 5-6m line of sight form a Play:5. Thanks, Peter

I want to use in-ceiling/wall speakers for TV surround sound but also use them for music via Sonos when TV not used. My TV will be flush wall-mounted above mantel, and I don’t want to use the Playbar or Playbase (just don’t like the look in living room). Is this possible with Connect:AMP and some special configuration?

how do you play alexa and sonos 3 at same time

Does anyone else have the issue of the sonos one keep beeping and hearing things that aren’t Alexa. I was watching tv last night and 6 times in one hour she muted the tv volume and beeped as if she heard her name. I wouldn’t mind but when I call her name she doesn’t hear it...it seems the programming side of things needs some work!! It would surly make sense that the sound coming through the speaker shouldn’t trigger her as she knows she is the source? It also happens when you ask Alexa something and in her response she says Alexa...it then triggers the sonos one again...I had the dot and echo and neither of these devices worked like this and hardly any false triggers but it is getting silly with the sonos one now. Is it just me?
