Hi everybody! Was debating should I sell my Play 3 and get two Play 1's. At the end, I bought a used Play 3 :-) Shippment in a few days. A few questions: Did I make a good choice? Is the Play 3 still a good speaker, compared to newer Play1 and Play5? Really how good do they sound in stereo? How do I trueplay them when in stereo mode? Will the two Play 3's on the opposite corners of my room provide enough power to fill my 50 square metres of open space? (One Play 3 must be turned out pretty loud to do so. I am looking for evenly spread sound across the room.) Thanks Neven

I have a playbar and I had 2 Sonos One speakers as my surrounds. I bought 2 new play 3 speakers today and it seems like they don’t have near as much bass. I went in and turned the bass all the way up. I thought the play 3 was supposed to be better sound quality wise.

How can I block someone who is in my house in another room changing the music? Is there another way to do this without changing the passwords on spotify or pandora or my router? Changing the password to the sonos account does nothing. I wish there was a password i could set that was needed every time someone starts sonos from a different device. If you have the sonos app you only have to connect to the existing system and then Im back to square one. I wish I could see a list of active devices on my Sonos system. Then I could block those I don't want playing annoying DJ while a party is going on.

Hello. I have 2 Sonos play 5 and for our apartment is more than enough, but I also want to use it for watching tv/movies. My goal is to have a good sound experience and NO lip sync problems. I have this diagram to explain my goal. Is it possible? - Use Sonos Connect to stream the AV-Receiver to all my Sonos Speakers and be able to watch my AppleTV without lip sync problem.

Can you add a second sub to a Playbar?

Hi, I've seen that you support Audible.com, will you be supporting Audible UK?

Grouped Volume Any ideas why sonos won't allow the volume control using a remote control on the Playbase won't allow you to lower the volume of a grouped speaker also. Use the Playbase with a grouped speaker in our open kitchen and would like the volume to go and down in sync.

Hey, I'm on the fence about jumping into the Sonos community with two Sonos Ones. I'm almost convinced but there's one thing holding me back. Can I use the Sonos ones to play out of my TV, as well as playing music? For example, playing Netflix or Amazon via a Google Chromecast OR screen mirroring to the TV via an Apple TV - can I wirelessly connect the Sonos Ones to play out audio in these scenarios? Thanks! Gully

I have recently purchased a Kindle Fire 7 - the first of these devices that I've owned. When loading the Sonos software initially, I found it on the Amazon app store, and it worked fine. I didn't know how to lock off updates (which are locked off on all my other devices) so it autoupdated to 8.5. I've changed all the other devices to 8.5, but no matter what I do the update marker still shows on the Kindle Fire version. I've de-installed and re-installed, I've now found out how to stop auto updates on the Kindle, but nothing seems to make any difference - it still shows as an available update. It seems to be running the latest version. I've also enabled the external store option, but it doesn't make any difference. It does get into a logic loop, if I take the update option - if I click update now, then it says that 'sonos app needs updating'. Click update then I get 'continue to the amazon appstore'. Cancel goes back to 'sonos app needs updating'.'Continue' takes me to the appstore, b

Using apple iPad 11.2.6, I installed the sonos app, its asking for an update which takes me to the AppStore which takes me back to the app and so on. App Store not showing any update but app isn’t working without an update.

Hi guys, for no reason at all my play 3 has dropped off my network and now just has a continuos flashing white light, it's no longer recognised as being part of my network? I've tried doing a factory re-set but still no go, just a flashing white light all the time? Any help would be appreciated.

I have a couple of Sonos speakers (actually, two sets, in each of two houses). If someone else comes over and has the Sonos app, he/she will presumably be able to connect to my speakers. Will that person see his or her music? I guess what I'm asking is: is the music list a property of the account, or of the hardware? If it's a property of the account, as I assume it is, where is it stored? (If it's in the cloud, on the Sonos servers, does that mean I can't play music if my external internet is down?)

I am trying to set up a routine on Sonos one through Alexa app it seems to control the lighting but will not give me audio response? Why is this?

I have 2 x Play 5's and 2 x Play 1's and the system has been running perfectly for the last 6 months. I'm running the Sonos app on a Samsung S3 most of the time and on a pc occasionally. Yesterday I purchased an iPad and in my haste to get that up and running I loaded the app onto that and followed the instructions that came up to update software. All fine and control from the iPad was perfect. However, my S3 is now not working and I'm getting the error message that the operating systems out of date and must be updated. Which I cannot do. I'm assuming the problem is I now have two bits of kit one with an old operating system (Android 4.0) and one with a new one (IOS11). The S3 can't be upgraded but I would like to control Sonos from the S3 but think I'm going to be out of luck unless there is a workaround?

So I turned on follow-up mode on my sonos one and now it has gone crazy. After I issue a command it goes “bong” bong bong bong bong etc continuously. Unplugged and plugged in and it kept doing it. Turned off follow-up mode for now which seems to have solved the problem. Any one else see this?

I have music playing on my sonos via the sonos app. But sometimes when i ask alexa to play it will say hmm. you''ll have to enable the skill, but yet if i then go into the actual sonos app and press play it works. why does alexa not always play and pause when i ask it, even if music is showing as paused on the app?

Hi. Quick question: is it possible to use the Connect as a streamer only and bypass the DAC? Thanks

I just got my Sonos system (Play Bar, Sub, and 2 Play 1s ) I set all of these up in the same room (Living Room). Living room appears as a device in my Alexia app, but I can not add it to an Alexia Multi Room Music group. Does anyone know why or how I can fix this? Thanks

Hello - I randomly get this message (see attached) that I think is stemming from my SiriusXM stream. Anyone else get this..? Any ideas how to clear it? It just keeps prompting the error over and over again. Doesn’t go away. I’ve restarted the app, restarted the controller. Nothing has worked. Thanks, Andrew

Thinking about buying a speaker, but wonder how far I can walk away with my phones for example when I stream music.

Hi, i’m looking at options for using a projector (Epson EH-TW6700), Apple TV (Gen 3), an iPad, Playbar, Sub (maybe/ maybe not) and 2 x Play:3’s (see image below) to play BBC iPlayer, UK catch up TV and also use AirPlay to stream YouTube music/ videos. Has anyone experience of this setup? Does it work? Thanks in advance.

Is it possible to reduce the maximum attainable volume, making each increment of movement of the volume slider smaller to allow finer control of the volume?

Just got the new Alexa integration working but where are the Audible Audiobooks???!!! This is my number one use case and been waiting for two years since Sonos broke the previous integration. Come on people!

I've owned two Sonos:1 and a Playbase for a few months and have not had any problems with them until now. They were all grouped together under "Living Room." However, a few days ago when I opened my Sonos app it said that a speaker had been lost from the group so I needed to reconnect. It wouldn't let me do anything else until I tried to re-add this lost speaker. I was quickly able to get the Sonos:1 speakers reconnected and grouped in Living Room. However, each time I try to add the Playbase, it won't chime when pressing the button and then just flashes orange for awhile, then changes to solid orange, then eventually solid white. It will not connect.

Can you give me the external box dimensions for the sound bar please.I need this for shipping. Thanks
