hi all.  i have recently purchased a sonos arc soundbar to play dolby atmos on.  my room is one of those that years ago used to be a seperate sitting room and dining room which someone in the past has had converted into one room.  this means my tv on the wall and soundbar underneath are central to old living room but not to overall room and there is a large area to the left (as you look at tv) of the soundbar compared to the right.  my question is when using trueplay do i walk around the whole room or just the area i am watching the tv/soundbar from. i hope this makes sense thanks

I’have a problem. Today the sonos one (Used as surround speaker in the home theater system) doesn’t work. I can’t connect them anymore to the system!! When i use the app and select “configure” surround (in the arc+sub system), it doesn’t see anymore the surround!!who can Help me?? thanks

So I have some Sonos components that are not S2 controller compatible.  I have been pleased to see the upgrade program changed so that you don’t have to brick your old equipment.  That being said, this past month has brought some required updates to the older equipment that make it unusable.  The S1 controller indicates that several components need an update, but said update never goes through.  I have restarted all of my network equipment, changed DNS servers, rebooted audio gear and even plugged it in to a network cable, plugged into the switch on the router.  None of this has worked and it seems that I will be unable to use the components I purchased, quite a few actually.I have been with Sonos since the early days and believe that the system is still the best.  Despite my loyalty, I will not be very happy if I have to trash my existing equipment because of a forced update that never works.Any help would be greatly appreciated, but I have exhausted all of the advice that I have foun

I have a recently purchased Samsung 80QT TV and added a Sonos ARC. I’m very pleased with this set up so far.I am looking to add additional rooms for music.  What are your suggestions for adding 2 rooms to the ARC?  What are you suggestions for adding a turntable?

The play all on Tidal thru my Sonos just stopped working.  It plays just one sone and stops.  Before it went thru all the songs of the artist.   The top tracks works on Spotify but just stopped on Tidal in the last week.  What is the issue?

Hello, I own a Sony - Bluetooth Stereo Turntable and I am using a Sonos Five with a (cheap) pre-amp to connect them to my Sonos system (Beam+2Ones+Sub) so I can get all my speakers working. Currently I am not happy at all with the sound because it sounds cheap. I think there should be a way of getting a nice sound from the turntable. I am thinking on the following: Buying the Sonos Amp and use it to connect the turntable to the Sonos system and probably get rid of the Sonos Five.  Upgrade my current preamp to a better one like Pluto 2 or Pro-Ject Phono Box, keep the Sonos Five for the Line-In but I am not sure if this will upgrade my sound as much as I want it. Any thoughts on this? I have the Sonos system and the Turntable+Sonos Five in the same big room.  Thank you all!

I just purchased a Sonos Move to use in my bedroom and want to connect it via bluetooth 5.0 transmitter from Amazon that is plugged into my projector:https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B013ULOP10/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1How do I get the move to connect automatically to the bluetooth transmitter? The blue flashing lights on both the move and transmitter just keep flashing blue...

So I restarted the Sonos One by disconnecting the power cable from the socket. When put back in no power to it. No lights, no connections…I tried the cable from the other working Sonos one. Nothing.  Any ideas? To me it looks like the PS inside is not working, or am I missing something.

So there’s a Dolby atmos setting on my Samsung tv called Dolby atmos compatibility but it won’t show up in the app with Dolby atmos. It’s hdmi arc and all it shows Is Dolby digital + 5.1. I was told by Samsung this tv supports it what do I do?

I recently connected a new Beam to my Sony tv, model XBR-65X850E. Since the Beam has been connected, my tv will restart each time I turn it on after being off for an extended period (ex. overnight). I’ve also run into issues where there is no sound from the tv or Beam when connected, volume controls on the tv get disabled, etc. Earlier this week I unplugged the Beam and tv has been working perfectly since.Any thoughts or recommendations?

I have set up a Sonos Beam speaker and wondering how I register it to validate the Warranty/Guarantee?

I have an iPad Pro 2020. My music is on my iPad. I can not get my music library set up on the iPad. I can play music by Airplay, but would prefer to use full functionality of Sonos software and add my library. When I go into “Musi Library” there are no libraries listed. If I hit the “+” it asks for a path, but shouldn't this recognize the music already on the iPad..? Please share on how to set this up other than Airplay..?

I have a TCL 65R635 TV and a Sonos Playbar soundbar. I can’t seem to pair my TCL tv remote with the soundbar. Tech support said an HDMI cable needs to connect the two together, in order to sync the remote. However, my soundbar doesn’t even have an HDMI port. I’m using a digital/optical cable. Can anyone help?

I lost my connection to Sonos.  Now, when I try to connect with my iPhone, I get the Existing System Not Found message and when I ‘press and release’ the button nothing happens.  When I try to access Sonos from my tablet I get the ‘Sorry, we can connect to Sonos’ message.  I’ve tried resetting the router: still nothing.  Any ideas?

Any advantage in having multiple Subs in the same room?

Hi,I recently purchased the new Sonos Arc and have been using for about a week. Currently connected directly to my 2020 Sony Bravia A8H, which supports dolby digital plus and has an HDMI eARC audio output. We noticed that the audio would drop out when watching streaming services. In particular, Netflix that supported Dolby Atmos. After spending days scouring the internet to try and ensure my TV was set proberly, the streaming services worked correctly, etc. with no luck I finally called Sonos. After speaking with a Sonos agent I was told that the Arc cannot properly process the data the TV is sending to it? Apparently, since I only have an Arc soundbar and do not have a 5.1surround sound set-up the Arc will not output Dolby Atmos sound since my current audio system is technically just a 2.0 with the Arc?This was pretty disappointing to hear since the main reason I purchased the Arc was to have the ability to experience Dolby Atmos and high quality sound in lieu of purchasing an entire s

I’ve seen many questions to the below but not found an answer so I will add my penny worthI have new sonos beam and all integration with sonos app and youtube music is fine apart from the truncation list issue. ie I can play youtube music from the sonos app OK Google questions like weather and what is my diary work fineBut when i ask google to play a track eg ok google play artist trackname  i get the following reply “Ok playing trackname on YouTube music. Sorry I can't find what you're asked for”I have the basic youtube music. All the various combinations of asking to play a track/artist fail with the message above. I have a  google home speaker and all the commands for youtube music WORK on this.Any ideas please

When I set up the Sonos app originally it accessed the files in my Music folder on the phone just fine.  However, I recently have made changes to the folder and the Sonos app will not update.  Tapping Update Music Index Now in settings asks me to confirm that I want it to scan files and then does nothing when I tap OK.  Deleting and reinstalling the app made no difference.  Moving the Music folder to break all connections and then putting it back made no difference.  The original display of files remains unchanged no matter what I do.  I can’t find any way to make updates that actually works.

I am trying to find a way of playing music from my iPhone via my Sonos One speaker at a location where cellular data is available but there is no LAN or internet connectivity available via Wi-Fi or Ethernet. Is it possible to use a Sonos One on a closed network without internet connectivity? Or does Airplay necessarily rely on being able to connect to the Sonos cloud? If so, exactly what hardware do I need to create a Wi-Fi signal that I can use to connect to the speaker via Airplay? Or is there a way I can turn a cellular data signal into a Wi-Fi signal and for it to behave like a regular local area WI-Fi network?

Can someone confirm that the Sonos Port (which requires a 3rd party amplifier) is NOT compatible with a Sonos Sub?  I believe the reason for this is that the Sub must pair directly to a Sonos component that has built in amplification (Amp, Sonos speakers).  A Sonos port cannot plug directly into a third party amplifier.I realize there are hacks around this (pair the Sub with a Sonos speaker then group the speaker/Sub with the Port, eg.) but I do not want to do this.   If any of this is factually wrong, please educate me.

Hi,Since my TV does not have ARC, I have it hooked up to my Beam via optical cable. My source is an Apple TV 4K, connected to the TV via HDMI. Sometimes when I start videos (YouTube, Netflix), there is a few seconds where the video plays, but there is no sound. After the sound comes on it is stable, so it really happens only when starting.I guess either the TV or the Beam needs some time to realize that sound is coming in and processing it.Does anyone have some insight where the problem may be and how I could get rid of it?Regards, Robert

I have a couple of questions regarding Sonos sound system and hope that you could help me. I am a complete newbie to the topic and Your help would be greatly appreciated .I am considering Sonos since it is wireless (mostly) and seems to offer amazing sound quality for the price.Ideally I would like to have a complete 5.1 sound surround system.Bellow are my concerns.Room shapeAttached are images of my living room, there are two things i am concerned about:rectangular shape, right wall basically missing/far away back wall behind me has open space   Would this room shape be ok for setups:arc  arc + subwoofer arc + subwoofer + 2 front speakers + 2 wall mounted back speakers this is where i would like to get Am I missing something with open space in my room ?Samsung KS 7000 series supportFrom what i can read there seem to be some problems with this TV series and dolby digital + support. Samsung on the other hand states that dd+ should be supported. Can you please help me make sense out of th

I have, for 2 years now, been following the growth - and particularly success - of Sonos; and it has culminated into my making the notoriously stressful and monumental decision to transfer my home theater/connectivity/audio eco-stystem into the hands of what I considered to be one of the most promising ‘Unicorn’ startups of the the last decade. Despite rich, uncomporomised audio quality that unquestionably stands up to the hype; the promise of premium, audiophile quality sound in a sleek, easy-to-use speaker is virtually out of reach for even the most patient and forgiving customers. With the exception of being one of the lucky few who managed to place and receive their order without any delays; loyal, disenfranchised Sonos customers have showed up by the masses to a seldom monitored online community board with a single shared grievance, “IS ANYONE THERE?!?!?!”Seriously though … did someone forget to pay the phone bill over there? The ONLY interaction I have managed to see from an actu

I have a 2 room system. In the kitchen i have a Sonos One. It’s the speaker that is the furthest away from the router. About 5 meters and a thick stone wall in between. In the livingroom I have s Sub and 2 Symfonisk. They all stand within a 1-2 meter radius from the router. These 3 keeps loosing the sound. While playing music on the whole system the kitchen works fine but the speakers closest to the router keeps loosing the connection. What is wrong?

Hi Team,We recently bought a new house and decide to put speakers throughout the house since we are working from home more these days.We have a Boost plugged directly into the router for improved wi-fi range and also have the Arc plugged into the router (via network cables and ports)Diagnostic - 1804714482Any help would be awesome :)- Rich
