What do the 3 icons on the front of the amp do?

Hi everybody, a couple of 5 in stereo pair bought 2 days ago. My daughter took my phone and put a song at max volume: 100%. Do u think it could cause any damage to the twitters inside? Is there any way to check it by removing the grid? thankslorenzo

I recently upgraded to a new desktop which hosts my SONOS music library. My system is little more than a set of bricks currently,  and so far three separate support chats or calls have ended up in the support person mysteriously disconnecting for no reason. I can only assume they do not want to deal with the issues, but I am increasingly frustrated as an early adopter and long time user of SONOS.Here are my issues:Music library shows the folder on the old computer that no longer exists. When I try to remove it, it simply comes right back.    When I try to add a new folder to the library, the folder is never added. There are no error messages. I have tried adding the local folder and set up a network share and tried that to no avail. I have tried disabling my firewall and Malware Bytes, which also did not work, My Play:1 does not show up on the PC app at all, and says “incompatible” on my android phone app. Attempting to update from both phone and PC ends up in an error every time. When I play music through my iPhone using the Apple Music app, I’m supposed to click the airplay icon to change over to my sonos speaker. The speaker however doesn’t show as an option. The only way I can do it is by opening the Sonos app and starting my music search again. Any tips on how to make it visible? 

Hi allThis morning my Sonos apps cannot find Tidal content. Both on IOS og Android. Both in my setup and at my friends setup at her place.I can stream from Tidal, when I select “Senest afspillet” (latest playlists). I can also make sonos play tidal content from Tidal app. Whats wrong?I’m running S1Best regardsRune    

Hello, i am considering buying the Akai midi controller and can connect it to a mac. Can the play1 system be used like regular speakers/monitors to play without headphones (through a daw of course) thank you 

I have Sonos App updated and Amazon Music unlimited. When I use the app on my phones and desktop it works perfectly. However when using the Sonos App on the laptop, when I do a search no results appear.I’ve updated the app. Reauthorised the service. Disconnected and reconnected to the network. Rebooted. Uninstalled and reinstalled all apps. Still not search results in the SOnos App when doing the same search as on the phone (yes spleed correctly).

Hello everyone!I’ve been putting together my home theatre system. Initially I got two One SL and then the Sub Gen 3. When I paired the two Ones as stereo together with the Sub, it sounds fantastic.Today I got the Arc, so I decided to add it to my system. I don't have a TV yet, but I figured I can still add the Arc to the Ones and Sub and use it to play music. Adding everything together was a breeze and I can see in the Sonos app that the room says + Sub + LS + RS. Wi-Fi is turned off in all speakers, as everything is wired via ethernet.The problem is when I play music I only get output from the Arc. No sound is coming either from the Ones or from the Sub. If I remove the Arc and group the Ones and Sub in another room, they work as expected. Music is being streamed from Apple Music via the Sonos App.The Sub is turned on and the Eq settings are correct. Music playback in the room settings is set to “Full” and “music level” is 9 while “TV level” is set to 0. The Sub sound is turned up as

I have five Sonos devices on my network: Play: 5, Play: 3, Beam, and two Connect: Amps. Now that I’m using S2 (on iPhone) I never see all of them. The one I use most, a Connect: Amp, is always there. If I leave the app open for a few minutes, sometimes one of the other ones will appear but no matter how long I wait, I never get all of them. I can unplug/restart the others and eventually get them to show up but they disappear again the next time I pull up the app.  What’s my next step in trying to fix this? Should I pull them off their mounts and do a factory reset?

I have an Arc, Sub, and (2) Ones that I just purchased and they won’t connect to my Nest mesh WiFi. I can only see one device and I have to unplug it to see another device. I bought a Boost yesterday and not sure how that can be added as I tried to plug it into my router by Ethernet and by having the Ethernet cable disconnected. The app doesn’t detect the Boost. Please let me know if I can solve this issue or should return the Sub, (2) Ones and the Boost. I like the Arc, but would prefer to have a surround sound experience. Thanks!

I understand how you can click on a link to an HLS stream from an Android phone, but I don't understand how you enter that address into the Sonos app to play over the Sonos speaker system.The only option to cast available on my phone is to my Sony Bravia TV as it doesn't identify the Sonos as an option.Can anyone tell me how to do this?Mark

Sonos Arc sounds great. Samsung TV shows the volume control as HDMI Receiver with just +|_. Is it possible to show the volume level? Is it annoying to check mobile app for volume level. Need a fix please.

I am reconfiguring my home/office which has a new 4k TV.  I also have a couple of hardly used Play:1’s.  If I buy a Beam to connect to the TV, does the beam connect to the Play:1’s for more surround sound in the same room? Thanks!

I have a Sonos One and a Sonos sound bar. They self -paired - without being asked.  App is supposed to have unpair option. It does not. How do I unpair?

Tot vorige week heb ik 7 jaar lang mijn Beolab 8000 actieve speakers rechtstreeks aangesloten op SONOS CONNECT. Heeft altijd prima gewerkt. Sinds deze week de opvolger PORT in huis en problemen; een van de speakers gaat constant aan en uit als er geen muziek aan staat; de speaker gaat aan en uit getriggered door de ruis vanuit SONOS PORT. Als de speaker niet is aangesloten gaat hij vanzelfsprekend niet aan en uit; als de speaker niet is aangesloten op de SONOS PORT is er geen ruis. De andere speaker werkt correct. Wat kan ik doen? Ik heb al een groundloop isolator geprobeerd; geen enkel effect (zelfs meer ruis). De kabels zijn van prima kwaliteit (afgeschermd en RCA stekkers aan beide zijden).

Hello, I have a mixture of sonos and amazon echo devices in two different properties.  When I travel from one property (my main house) to the other (my holiday home), the experience on my alexa echo devices is seamless.  If I say alexa play music in both properties it connects to my amazon prime account and plays from amazon music which is set up as my voice service.  However with Sonos when I arrive at my other property and say play music or play radio station xxx nothing happens.  I have to disable the Sonos skill in the alexa app and then set it all up again and then it works.  But then when I return to my main house I have to disable the Sonos skill and set it all back up again.  This is a real pain.  Has anyone found a better way of doing this please?  I would be grateful for any advice you may have

How do I know if my arc is outputting atmos? I have seen videos that show that if you go to "now playing" in the app it says that its outputting atmos. I have tried several sources (disney+, prime and netflix) that say they are dolby vision and atmos. When I play them the TV says its displaying dolby vision but nothing comes up regarding the audio and nothing is displayed in the app to say its atmos. I am using the LG 2020 GX and connected into the hdmi e-arc output. I have also used the hdmi supplied with the arc and also one I bought separately that is meant to support hdmi 2.1.Is this an issue with the app (im using an android and i know that sonos don't support them as well as apple, but surly something as simple as if its playing atmos should work?) Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

Hi I have just traded in my old Play:5 speaker, to get 30% off my Sonos Arc buy. As I understood it, I then had to recycle the old speaker. However, after an email I got from SONOS regarding the trade in program, they asked we what I would do with the old speaker, namely if I would hand it in to a SONOS store, recycle it, sell it or keep it. Have I completely misunderstood, can I actually keep my play:5 that I have traded in to get 30% off a new buy?

Hi! Updated to S2-controller tonight. I have 2 Play:1. I can't get connected both of them. I tried the setup-process with the forst Play:1and the speaker was found, updatet and connected immediately. Everything worked fine. BUT the second speaker was not recognized from S2. Though I tried it vice versa in a new installation and  the second Play:1 was found, updated and connectet immediately. BUT now it wasn't possible to connect the first speaker additional, the one that worked in the former setup alone well.After reading here in the community i tried to reboot my router and both Play:1 and the S2-controller(restart of my Samsung SM J 600) but the S2 further on recognizes only 1 Play:1. What else can I do to solve the issue? Thank you! 

I have recently changed Wifi and have updated Sonos so it connects to the new WiFi. Problem is that since the WiFi has changed, Sonos won’t play any of my TuneIn radio stations (BBC Radio so it is still active). I have rebooted my speakers and WiFi and still can’t get the radio to work.  I have a Play 1 and Play 3 speaker and same problem exists on both.  I can play Apple Music no problem. Help!

Hi All, This is getting a bit frustrating. In the past, when using the Sonos app in the search->playlists section I could enter an artists name ie Powderfinger and would get results such as Powerderfinfer Essentials, Powerderfinger: Next Steps etc returned. For a few days this has not been working. Now when I run a search it seems to me that any of the Apple curated playlists are not returned in the search results, however, other playlists which are presumably created by other Apple Music users do show in the results. Does anyone know if this is a Sonos or an Apple issue? I have tried deleting and readding my account to the Sonos app. Anyone else having these issues, or know of a solution. Cheers, Duddsy

HiTrying to figure out how to get the best out of the arc and have a few questions.My Samsung TV lets me choose between PCM or Dolby Digital as audio format. From what I understand is PCM 2.0 stereo, so I should choose Dolby Digital instead?Also, when support for LPCM arrives, I still have to use Dolby/PCM since the TV doesn’t support LPCM, even if Apple TV supports LPCM? Meaning, is the tv a bottleneck here?Last, is bitstream an option as a possible update to the Arc in the future?thanks!

Will my gen 3 sub woofer connect with the play 1's and gen 1 soundbar?

I have Amazon Music Unlimited.  When I search for music by artists either nothing or a subset of the available music is displayed.  If I go to the Amazon Music App I can see the full amount.   I would stream from my iPad but music playback from Sonos app on laptop normally is better with fewer drop outs than my iPad/iPhone.  For example, I type Bob Marley and nothing shows.

I have an old Onkyo receiver that is fine for radio and manages 4 wired speakers.  I want to add streaming abilities and likely a new CD player and some other wireless speakers.  The Onkyo has analog input/outputs for different devices.  I am looking at the AMP Port to start.  How would it be connected to the Onkyo?  I recently tried to add bluetooth to this receiver and couldn’t get any ports to work.
