Hello,one of our clients uses SONOS products in their building, its like a 30 devices, from ONEs to AMPS, Beams and Bars. Two sonos gateways. Whole devices was on LAN cable, but after adding Beam to the controller whole system crashes, older devices starts to disappear. After putting everything on wifi it seams to stabilize but after some time i notice that on my ping program the whole system loses connection instantly, like a switching On and Off. Maybe you can suggest a solution or if there is some specific way to manage all these devices.P.s. Amps are not even added to controller yet, do not know what will happen after we add them...

How do you add your partner or another user to your sonos app. My wife would like to listen to her audible account. Help appreciated

One of our Nexus 9 tablets recently went into “eternal reboot” and we have had to do a factory reset/Android “recover from cloud” operation. Which was fine, except it doesn’t restore what was there, bur reinstalls the Apps from scratch.So, suddenly, we have SONOS S1 app appearing instead of the v10.3 of the app that was there originally.It is correct, as we only have the old S1 kit (9 older units), all at the same upgrade state as the V10.3 software.BUT:We also have six Nexus7 V2s as Sonos controllers distributed round the house. These had a final upgrade (August 2016) on Android 6.01, and could only run up to Sonos V10.3 (build 51166240). Yes, Sonos V10.3 eternally nags about “update available” and “upgrading our device” – which is not possible. So we have stayed at V10.3 as everything is still fine and we don’t want to buy 6 new tablets just for “upgrading” to Sonos S1, as the old ones work fine for all our other uses.Of course, running S1 on the recovered tablet just brings up a loa

Hello.  Folks here have been very helpful.  Thank you for that.  May I ask for some help? I recently added 4 new devices to my Sonos set-up.  They are noted here as Reagan’s Room, Classroom, and GarageA and Garage D.   Only these new devices seem to be coming back as Undefined and in white boxes.  I’ve tried to find whether this is normal or important (problem) and I’m confused.  Is this a problem? I have some devices by ethernet where I can and others relying on wireless.   The only issues I’ve had involve:   I had two drop-outs of audio last week for about 30 seconds. I’ve had issues where my Sonos controller on the iPhone (the one I use the most) is very slow to connect to the entire system and even play/pause seems to have glitches.  Had to re-start the app a few times.   Otherwise, I’ve tended to play just fine.  Some of my “orange” zones go back/forth between red/orange/green (connected by ethernet) but I haven’t worried to much about them as otherwise all seemed to work.   Thank

Hi all,I have recently purchased a Sonos Connect Amp to power bathroom ceiling speakers. As I only need one speaker in the bathroom, I have decided to run the second channel to another single speaker in an adjoining bathroom. I understand I won’t be able to play music to each bathroom separately but I’m wondering how I wire these speakers so that each single speaker plays both L and R channels (Dual mono is what I think it’s called but only available on newest Sonos Amp, not the connect)Ideally I’d still want to be able to pan audio entirely to just the one speaker if I had to. I just need the amp to output both L and R channels through the single output.Any help would be appreciatedCheers 

Suddenly, this just started happening.All speakers are wireless.  I am connected to a WiFi Matrix (Orbi).The external connection is awesome.The internal connection hasn’t changed - no new devices.I am at a complete loss as to how to debug.  I can’t change the SonosNet channel.I also don’t know how to change the Sonos WiFi channel.The TV works to the Playbar and then to Play:1 / Subs.It is just internet playback… I am running Sonos2. I have googled the forum and didn’t find any recent reasons for this to happen.  Or the ability to debug.

Hi ForumHere is a new problem… I like to have music in the house all day. I start the music from my MacBook Pro M1, it streams from Apple Music or Spotify to Sonos One and Beam. On the same computer I do Teams meetings at work, I use a Jabra Evolve 75 Bluetooth headset for this meetings. Every time I turn the headset off, the music in the house is paused. After the meetings, I turn off the headset, I need to go into Spotify or Apple Music and press play again to let the music flow in all the rooms again. If I start the music from my iPhone 12 Pro Max and AirPlay to the devices the music is not affected when I turn off the headset, but the headset is not paired with the phone, just the Mac. Anyone else that has the same problem ?

Hey I have a Denon AVR-S750h Receiver.  I wanted to know if I could connect the Sonos In Ceiling speakers to the receiver directly without having to purchase the amp or the sonos connect?    

We have an surround system setup already, (Arc, 2 One’s and a sub), but I’m thinking of adding more speakers around the house. My question is, if we are watching tv or a movie, will the surround sound still be active in the living room but turned off elsewhere? And, will all the speakers work together automatically if we start listening to music? 

So I just got a sonos port because I wanted to be able to add my sonos play 1 speakers to my analog speakers to listen to use my turntable. The setup I have is a TX-8160 onkyo receiver and a technics turntable. When I stream music via the sonos app (i.e. the port is the source of the music) the sonos play and analog speakers are in sync. When I play the receiver (e.g. radio, turntable, etc.) the sonos play is out of sync with my analog speakers.  After some trouble-shooting I am able to deduce that the sound processing in the onkyo is creating the delay. Now I am wondering:Do all receivers cause the same problem? Is it impossible to go from a receiver to the port and synchronize the signal? Can the signal only come from the sonos app (i.e. the port) to have synchronicity between the sonos speaker and analogs? Are there reasonably priced receivers that do not have this problem? I talked to sonos tech support and they said that the receiver is the issue but they couldn’t tell me if this

As the Sonos Play 5 has Bluetooth and the Project s2 Juke Box Turntable has bluetooth. Can i play my vinyl via bluetooth connection or will it have to go through pre amp (2rca to 3.3 mm etc)Thank you

I have a Sonos Amp + Third Party Sub + 2 x One SL rear speakers.Below a certain volume, that isn’t zero, the audio completely cuts out (screenshots below shows the lowest level that gives output). The slider still slides further along before hitting mute at the end, it just has no effect on output, as it’s already silent.This means it isn’t possible to adjust the system to run quieter than a level that is - sometimes at night - too loud.This issue does not affect my other rooms (Play:3 in one, Play:1 in the other), including if I group them with the Amp.Is this expected behaviour, or a bug? Sonos Mac App (12.2.2)Sonos iOS App (12.2.2)

Hello allIs there a way to have repeat all on all the time. Whenever I play an album I’m just used to it starting again but I seem to have to push repeat every time. Apple Music has repeat all on until you disable it just wondered if Sonos could do the same?thank you 

I have a Playbar and wish to add a Sub and some One’s for surround sound.I have been told by a sales guy that the new Gen 3 sub won’t work with the Playbar, so I will need to try and find a Gen 2 Sub (difficult) or purchase an Arc.I would be grateful if someone could confirm this is the case.

Did a search for a Sonos + Linux but all threads were archived. I want to add a +1 for Linux support. I’m probably an idiot and missed something. I main Linux, and while my Sonos device shows up in Spotify in Linux it never connects, regardless of network (2.4 or 5).. I tried various 3rd party addons and could probably make it work, but why make it such a hassle for Linux users. In Windows the Sonos deivce works perfectly in Spotify as expected. Love your product, the physical quality and the sound quality, but it’s annoying having to reboot into Windows to listen to music (especially when shitfaced). I would love to extend my Sonos speakers system. but the hassle just makes me ponder Bluetooth speakers instead. By now, isn’t there enough Linux users to warrant Sonos integration? Again, maybe I missed something.  

I have +10 Sonos speakers that were purchased at different times.  I have no idea which are first generation speakers that will not work with the new S2 app.  I would like to upgrade the old speakers but do not know which one was purchased when or really anything about them.  Is there somewhere within the app or online tools to identify the old speakers?

I have hooked up a brand new Amp with my sweet hand-crafted 1980s Klipsch KG4s.  I have Treble down to -10 and Bass up to +10.  The highs bleed my hears and the bass isn’t has heavy as the rear 16” sub should be putting out.  They are 4 ohms speakers.  Any ideas?

Acquired some used ZonePlayers(ZP120, ZP90) from my neighbor and unable to manage them using the S1 app, because the software on the device is so old ( 14.5-40190c ).  Getting error 11 when trying to initiate SW update.  Can’t even send diagnostics, but, using the mini controller I am able to get the device to play ‘radio’ so that leads me to think the network connection is ok.In any case, I’ve simplified the network setup and have the ZP directly connected to the cable modem, no wifi router in the middle, and still no luck.  Internal logs don’t really have much detail either…[Thu Jan 1 00:11:58 1970] <diag:topology,1> Unable to submit diagnostics. I️ have a set of Sonos speakers (a Sub and 4 Play 1 speakers) which I️ will like to send in for repairs. The sub and 2 of the Play 1 no longer come on, and I️ suspect this is hardware problem. I️ will like to send these to the service centre for diagnostics and possible repair. Any information on how to go about this is appreciated.

Hi,I want to setup a home theater setup using a Beam + 2 sl’s and a sub all on S2.  All speakers are detected but I am unable to add the sl and the sub to the theater setup. Speakers are placed in the same room. The configuration takes ages (both sub and sl’s) and fails after a while. The speakers and sub are removed from the app and I have to start all over again. If I setup a stereo pair with the sub everything works fine. The beam works also perfect with the tv.  system is on the same wireless netwerk Channel is 11, WiFi=1. So 5 separated  connection to all speakers is excellent to good  all speakers are on s2  Version 12.2.2

Just received my Move today and I use Google Assistant. I was able to get music playing (YouTube Premium) but when I asked for next song, turn volume up etc I was ignored.  This looks like a common problem.  Any solutions?

I have an Ikea Symfonisk Bookshelf as stereo pair and a Symfonisk lamp.I have set up the Alexa skill and I can ask Alexa to play on the Sonos speakers.However, I want to define my Sonos speakers as preferred speakers for the room in Alexa.When I want to select the Sonos speaker it always says “not compatible” the same for my Lamp in the other room.I have removed the skill and added it again, no avail. All apps (Sonos, Alexa) and all speakers, iPhone, and Alexas up to date.What gives? 

Having issues with my Vizio M507-G1 and just-purchased Sonos Arc and Sub Gen 3. Everything is up-to-date.Essentially, when I configure the Digital Audio Out to anything but PCM (which is just stereo...), the audio breaks up and there is a lag I cannot fix. Didn’t do this with previous Vizio soundbar.Does anyone have a similar setup with this all working how it should that can share their settings, please. I have tried changing the Airplay audio quality setting to “compressed”, but it didn’t help and when I pause the music or videos for a few minutes, I will have to go back to the MacBook to deselect the speakers and reselect again.
