My Sonos system has a bridge that controls a Sonos:1, Sonos: 3, Sonos Soundbar, and a Sonos Sub. Can I add a few One SL speakers to my system without any issues?

I’m trying to set up Sonos Move and I can’t get past the wireless set up. The button at the bottom that says “go to accessory setup” does work. I tried to go to Apple Home and add and it’s not showing up   

Hi all.I’m running an S1 system (i use a Sonos Connect to stream my turntable, and don’t really want to buy a $450 new component to do the same thing).  My partner attempted to add a Sonos Move speaker to the system and now the S1 app is stuck in “Use Sonos S2 app” mode.The options it gives me are “Download Sonos S2 app” which i obviously don’t want to do.and “More options” which includes: “About My System” “Submit Support Diagnostics” “Reset App” and “Sonos Customer Care” About My System shows all my speakers on S1 except the Move.“Reset App” does… i dunno, just asks me to close and restart the app, but when i reopen i go back to the “Use Sonos S2 app” screen. how do i get the Move on the S1 system, and/or how do i get my S1 app working?no, i don’t want a split system. the system still kinda works.  e.g. home theatre works when controlled by the TV.  and i can play music in rooms from Spotify.  but i can’t control anything from the sonos app. edit: it just now occurs to me i could try

Hi. I’ve got a group of two rooms. I want the alarm to go off in both rooms. move clicked the ‘include grouped rooms’ button but the alarm never goes off in the second room. Any ideas what might be wrong?thanks 😃 

I have Sonos Connect S2.   Everything worked fine with my old Android 8 tablet.   I have just bought a new (unbranded) Android 10.0 tablet and when I try to download Sonos from Play store I get "Your device isn't compatible with this version".   Any thoughts on how to fix this?

I upgraded to S2 to try a Sub I got as a gift. The sub doesn’t work with different speakers within the house - or couple with a Connect to go with non-Sonos speakers. You need to choose one only. So I returned it. Now I can’t switch my system back to S1. A customer rep told me I needed to reset all the speakers, but couldn’t tell me how, or what to do with in-wall speakers. They want to force me to upgrade my S1 speakers! Sonos, you have lost a lot of customers with this debacle, and now one more. After 30 minutes or more just waiting to speak with customer service, and no answers, no call back after being disconnected (as the person tried to look up how to reset wall speakers). Is there no way to stay with S1? (I was fine with it)  Oh, and no handle on the new Play 5? How dumb is that? Will never ever recommend Sonos to a friend or anyone. Will actively seek out how to discourage anyone from using Sonos. Hope you lose your lawsuits!

Which is best way to Install Bluetooth or WI-FI?

Does anyone see any issue with setting the Arc on top of the mantel?  The TV would be just to the right of the Arc. The issue I have is that the TV is in a built in.  The opening of the built in fits the TV screen perfectly so my only option would be to set the Arc on the shelf and it would block 1-2” of the bottom of the TV screen.  The TV is on an adjustable mount so I could push the TV back a few inches and have all of the clearance I need from top and sides of the Arc but I think it will look a bit clumsy.  

I apologize if this has been addressed, but I can’t find a straightforward answer.  Has anyone tested whether sound quality is better by streaming through the Sonos app or using AirPlay/Casting to stream from the Amazon Music app? Of course this wouldn’t be an issue if the Sonos app displayed file type/size within their app.  

HiI have an Amp connected via optical adapter that I use for HT purposes with a pair of Ones as surrounds and a pair of passive speakers. Content comes from an Apple TV 4K.The problem is that frequently (several times per evening) the remote (I use the Apple TV remote) stops being able to change volume. The only way I could come up with to restore this function, is to repeat the TV setup in the Sonos app. This quite time consuming of course and not a good user experience.Is this a common issue, does anyone know how to avoid this, maybe an easier way to fix or to reestablish the remote functionality?  

I have a Play 5 gen 1 (wired to router) & 2no Play 1s paired, in room 1, using S1 controller.I added a Beam (wired to router £ connected to TV) in room 2. It requires S2 controller.Since the installation of the Beam, the S1 controller continually requires upgrading to S2. S2 does not recognise the Play 5 so I've reverted to S1 in room 1. The S1 controller no longer sees the music library on my NAS which is my main source of music, and the main reason why I have a NAS.I am prepared to have two separate systems in rooms 1 & 2 if necessary, but I want my Play 5 to work, and I want access to my NAS.Can someone with more knowledge of the Sonos system help? I feel that I've introduced a cuckoo into my Sonos nest.Thanks in advanceDesmac

Hello,I got the Sonos Port and the Pro-Ject T1 Phono SB Turntable delivered today and I am struggling to connect them to my existing speakers.When I try to play music from the vinyl via the Port, I only get static sounds/crackling with no music. Port connected to my existing Sonos speakers with no issues, I used the default setting on the turntable, followed the setup process and no luck.I tried both Sonos and Pro-Ject cables to connect the record player to Port and looked here in other threads without success. When I try to play music from Spotify as per usual, everything works fine. The turntable is working as I can hear the very slight music coming from where the needle meets the vinyl.Would anyone be able to help?

I have an Arc, 2 Subs and 2 one SL's. I understand that I can independently control the Subs volume in the S2 App, but what does the EQ function in the S2 App do to the Subs if you increase bass on the EQ? I'm confused as to why there is a volume control for the sub and a bass EQ. Does the bass EQ change the crossover frequency to the Subs? Thanks in advance for any and all answers!

Dear community,I am happy user of Playbar, bought it last year and sound is brilliant, unfortunately I started thinking than plain playbar is not enough to get cinema sound, and here is my question, I have not much possibilities to use like some kind of satellites or so,  checked many articles and still have no idea what to add to my playbar to get 3d / surround / cinematic sound can you guys please advise what kind of speakers should I buy from Sonos as there a few types and have no idea which will match my needs, I don't think I need subwoofer as there is not much space, room is quite empty just has sofas at the back, so guys how can I make my room cinema feeling like :D  

Hi, When I try to play more than 2-3 rooms with Sonos S2, the playback constantly cuts in and out… I’m using Sonosnet.  Talking to Sonos CS, he says I need to get Sonosnet on it’s own clean 2.4 channel. It doesn’t appear that my AmpliFi AP can do that. 

Hi In recent months when I listen to BBC Radio 2 or London Gold it regularly flips and repeats itself. This happens a few times every hour and becomes extremely annoying. I reported this problem to Sonos and they said reboot my Router. However, this becomes inpracticable as it happens more than once an hour. Does anyone else have experience of this issue?

My Arc struggles to produce convincing left and right front effects, probably due to the lob-sided shape of my room. I’m wondering if I can add 2 more speakers (stereo pair) to help? 

I have just set up my new Arc using my Play 1's as surround speakers but I only seem to be able to get PCM stereo output from the native TV apps like Amazon Prime and BBC iplayer etc and I am testing it out on their high quality HDR 5:1 content. The TV doesn't seem to be passing through the digital 5:1 signal... I have tried an alternative HDMI cable but it’s just the same.My Tv is a Panasonic HZ1000 and its configured with the hdmi cable connected directly from the soundbar to the TV's inbuilt eArc socket. In the TV settings the audio auto sets to home theatre and dolby atmos output is set to on. There is also a setting that allows me to choose Auto, Dolby or PCM. If its set on Dolby or Auto there is no sound at all but switch to PCM and I get stereo only.I have just upgraded from a Playbar that had no problems getting 5:1 digital (not atmos of course) from the native TV apps but now i'm only able to output stereo.Iv probably missed something glaringly obvious but has anybody experien

Hi all, I’m experiencing unstable playback with slow response (via app) from a group and common delay with some speakers and others not. The specific group includes these products: boost, play3, play1, play5, One SL and Connect:Amp. I’m using Tidal HiFi. Hi, I have discussed with Spotify the fact that you cannot play Spotify provided BBC Podcasts on Sonos speakers. All other podcasts I have tried to play from Spotify work no problem, but with BBC podcasts all Sonos devices are greyed out. This is not unique to me or to Sonos it seems (see the discussion here).Spotify has said they are working the issue, I wondered if Sonos was aware?Is this the BBC controlling where their content is played again, even though this content has been licensed by Spotify?

Hi i have bought a arc , and i have tried trueplay whit iPhone 11 and a 6 . I Think that my Old playbar is murst better for musik that the arc is , shoud new not be better , a nother thing is the s ore t is very harsh and it is very inoring to Sound to , is Sonos cumming whit a new opdate to fix this , Sorry my english 

When I add new music to my Apple Music library, it doesn’t show up in my Sonos app. It’s been 24 hours and still nothing.

I tried watching Dunkirk UHD Blu ray this morning which has a DTS-HD MA soundtrack. I know the Arc cannot decode DTS and cannot currently receive 7.1 LPCM, but I thought the Xbox One X could encode Dolby digital on the fly? If I have my Xbox set to bitstream Dolby digital or Dolby Atmos I get no sound (Sonos app says it is receiving ‘silence’) from the arc if my C9 is set to pass through (eARC on). If I change the tv to PCM I get 2.0 stereo (presumably this is the tv downsampling the bitstream signal to LPCM). Given the recent C9 firmware upgrade, once Sonos have released their promised update enabling 7.1 LPCM I presume I can just set my Xbox to output to 7.1 uncompressed and away I go. However, anyone got any idea how I can get this working before then? UHDs and games with Dolby Atmos soundtracks work perfectly already btw.

I already have 2 sonos one gen 2's as stereo pair and now considering buying only 1 sonos five as a backyard speaker..Is 1 sonos five enough to give better performance then 2 sonos one's g2?..im getting bored unplugging my sonos ones from my home theater setup..
