Hello, first time poster. Recently moved into a new house, I’ve had to wait a while to get funds sorted to kit out the theatre room. In the interim I put in a small/minimalist floating shelf below where the TV will be mounted. Shelf space where roof speaker wires come through the wallI made an error in making this shelf compact (1M X 30CM) because now I can’t properly fit in an AV receiver for the 5 speakers I have in the roof. However, I’ve been advised that a Sonos Amp could be used to power the two rear roof speakers, and then I could potentially just go with a Sonos Arc to be wall mounted there as well. That combination (along with a Sonos Sub) should give me a good theatre room experience (so I am told).Question: Is one Sonos amp + Arc + Sub going to work in this situation? Will the amp power the two speakers and the sub (2.1 channels?)Annoyingly, this seems to make the other 3 roof speakers somewhat redundant. So my question is, do I just forget about them, or is there another wa

I have 2 sonos amps and 1 sonos move. the amps are connected together and then to the router via a Ethernet switchone of the amps cuts in and out all the time . It is the one directly connected to the switch other one is fine. Ive checked all connections and rebooted router any ideas

Hey allI have a turntable with a pre-amp that I currently connect to my Play5.  However I will be adding wired-outdoor speakers that I need to connect into the broader system.  And I want to move my Play5 away from the turntable.  I also have a Play 3 and a Play 1.Can I get the Sonos outdoor speaker set w/Amp and plug both the outdoor speakers AND the turntable into the amp?  More importantly, can I then play the turntable without having to necessarily play the outdoor speakers at the same time.  I want to control them separately. If not, then what is my best option?  Confused! Thanks!

Hi everyone, hoping someone can help me out.  I have an existing Beam set up to my tv in a room called “Living Room”. Recently picked up a used Connect (Gen1) and have it hooked up to an old Yamaha receiver (CR-620, if you are interested). The receiver in turn is connected to a Yamaha turntable (YP-511). I have set up the Connect to a room called “Record Player”. From the receiver I have analog cables running from tape rec out to the Connect analog in. When I plug the cables into the rec out, I hear crackling from the Beam so I know it’s picking something up, but I cannot get it to pick up sound when the input is switched to “Phono” on my receiver!  I just cannot work out what (probably obvious) thing I’m doing wrong.  Many thanks in advance for any advice you can give me! Graeme

Hello. I have a Philips 65oled805 connected to a Sonos Arc via hmdi arc. When playing Dolby Atmos content from a premium Netflix account the Sonos app shows that it is receiving Stereo PMC 2.0. I am using the Netflix app on the tv. Am I missing something obvious?

Dear all, I purchased a SONOS ARC about 3 weeks ago and immediately connected - via eARC HDMI port - to my SONY AG9 OLED TV.It was recognized immediately, did my setup gig through the Android app and everything worked fine. The system turns on and off as soon as the TV turns on and off too.Since yesterday - inexplicably - the soundbar doesn't turn on anymore and the audio comes out classically from the Sony audio surface.I went into the AG9's audio settings "Display and sound" --> "Audio output" and moved from "TV speaker" manually to "Audio system".The audio finally comes back out of the soundbar but after about 10 seconds it comes back to the TV again with the error "TV Speaker Audio active due to communication error with Audio system".I’d like to add that:- the soundbar is working properly- I have tried changing the HDMI cable- the AG9 has the latest firmware installed.- I have unplugged and re-plugged (reset) both power cablesI read somewhere that SONOS ARC might be incompatible

Last year I purchased a white speaker for my kitchen. The case is white but the grille is black. Is it possible to swap out the black grille for a white one?

Hallo,I want to ask if there is any possibility to use sonos beam with sub and only one Sonos One as sound system for TV.I bought Sonos Beam, subwoofer and sonos one and I set it for my kitchen which is in L shape, there is a TV and sonos beam is connected via hdmi arc. Speakers are connected to mutual wifi and set up correctly using app. There is an option in Settings - System - Beam (Products) and I can add surround speakers but I need RIGHT and LEFT channel but I have only one Sonos One speaker so I have paired only beam with sub and Sonos one was set separately. When I turn on TV only Beam and sub are working because of ARC and subwoofer paired via App. This way I can't hear audio in my entire kitchen and I have to open sonos app and group beam with sonos One. I find this solution not very practical for long term using. Therefore I am asking, if there is an option to get work with ARC sonos beam, sub and ONLY one Sonos One.Thank you for reponse.

The volume bar is not working in your app/iphone when I play through Connect and hifi. Volume is either off or FULL VOLUME (the volume bar in any other position than furthest left).Problem started 2-3 months ago, now it’s default. Volume adjust still works with Play:3. The problem persists playing radio through sonos app or services like spotify. Everything is reset and reinstalled, no change. Ideas?

Hey EveryoneSorry but i am a bit tech un savy  but.  i have a Sonos 5 that i have set up easily in my house with also two Sonos one,s.    I can not get the small 3,5 audio input in the back to accept a device. ( well it does but ...)  Whatever i plug in plays really really slow and muffled and volume really low.  what am i doing wrong.     I have plugged the out put earphone from my tv into it, plugged the cd player,  and my ipod and anderoid phone -  same result.  I am sure i must be doing something wrong?   The instructions say plug your device in with a 3,5 jacj and and other end into source with rca ( white and red outputs).    I know this is a stupid question  but perhaps i need a amp?   ( tv out   and phone no though?)  The 3.5 will not go in all the way either..  sits out 3-5mm from back of sonos-  is this normal?   please help and thankyou

Hi, placed an order and received notification that it’s being sent from Holland, does anyone know if this will be subject to import charges following brexit. I thought the order would be fulfilled in UK.

In our flat I’ve got two wirless access points connected together by RJ45 gigabit ethernet. Both APs expose the same wifi network (same SSID and passowrd) for mobile devices to switch seamlessly between both. Some Sonos speakers connect to one AP, some to the other. As you can see in the below printscreen, The Sonos app discovers all my speakers, but not spotify. The same happens if I use the spootify android app. How can I get all speakers in the spotify app?

I want to be able to use Sonos Arc for the dolby Atmos, but the PS4 only has one HDMI port and both projector and Sonos Arc require the HDMI port. Sonos Arc optical converter doesn’t allow for Atmos. So my question is what is the best receiver for this set up? I will get the PS5 at some point, but that also only has one HDMI port so I’ll run into the same problem there. Any Receiver recommendations or other ideas I’m not aware of?

It just seems like a no Brainerd that Sonos should be offering an A/V receiver.  Why don't they? Also are there any plans or forecasts of them doing so in the near future?   It just seems to make the most sense especially for those of us who would like to replace existing equipment and the versatility ot would provide would be unparalleled  ( Sonos products with 3rd party speakers, tvs, etc.)  I would totally purchase  it and so would several of my friends.  Seems like a fairly simple concept if they based it around the Sonos amp and just added a bunch of inputs and a couple outputs

Hello, when I now search for a song etc my app only looks at my library but no longer Spotify. This is happening in both iOS and Android. I have uninstalled and reinstalled but no success. Any idea what is going on?Thanks

Hi all,I haven’t been able to find a way, but just want to make sure I’m not overlooking anything. Is there any way to shuffle between multiple SiriusXM channels similar to being able to shuffle between multiple Pandora stations? Thanks,Ed

my sonos connect keeps trying to get a dhcp address…  i have like 15 sonos devices in the house, but this one keeps polling my dhcp server about every 5 minutes … it seems it has lost the ip address as when it is doing this I can’t ping it.  It gets the IP address as eventually I can ping it, and then it appears to lose it again.I just setup  a reservation for it and it got the ip address I rerserved for it, and then back to losing the ip and going back to discovery again.  While it does this it outputs an annoying pop sound to the amp it is plugged into.I am looking at it with wireshark, and I can see the discover coming from address 0.0.0.0 which means yeah it has lost its address and trying to get it again.I was on a chat session with a sonos tech and they had just told me the diag I sent them was indicating it was having trouble getting an ip address and then the session dropped.  Haven’t found a time slot to restart it, just wondered if this rings any bells with anyone?  I would l

Hi there.I recently upgraded my router to a Wifi 6 (no extender or mesh). I have3 x older Play 1s (2 as surrounds)1 x Soundbar3 x One SLsI have found that, using 2.4GHz wifi, the 3 One SLs (i.e. newer hardware) work just fine however the older hardware cannot be seen on the networkUNLESS I turn off Wifi 6 mode and go into a compatibility mode… Then everything is fine. As a workaround, my house is Cat 5 wired (and a couple of units are placed to enable connection directly to an ethernet port. I therefore connected the Playbar to try and create a hard wired configuration… It seemed that this didn’t work either, with an inability for anything to be seen / configured by the iOS app…My questions are therefore:1. Am I right to assume the Play 1’s and Playbar will not work with Wifi 6?2. Because wireless router remained on whilst trying to config in wired mode, has this prevented a wired mode setup working?3. What is the range of using SonosNet (i.e. wired mode) vs WiFi?(and finally) 4. Would

Hello, apologies if this is treading old ground but I’m new to this and my head is hurting.I’ve just bought an Amp, and I have two Symfonisk speakers.I would like to plug my record player into the amp, and also plug my TV into the amp (HDMI ARC) to create a surround sound system using the Symfonisks. My questions are:Can I use the TV speakers as the front speakers, and the Symfonisks as the rear?Assuming the answer to the above is no, then I am going to have to buy new speakers for the front or back.  I’m a bit confused as to whether the best answer is to buy a beam for the front, or buy two passive speakers.  Any recommendations for good, simple, low-cost solution gratefully received.

Hi, I'm experiencing frequent drop outs while listening to music. They are usually short (2-5 seconds). Music basically stops playing on all of the speakers in my living room at the same time, and restarts on all speakers together. My setup is Playbar and Sub next to each other at the front of the living room, and two Sonos Ones at the back. Playbar is wired to a Wifi router which also sits at the front of the room, around 4-5m away from Playbar and Sub. There are also two Symfonisk lamps in the bedroom and Boost in between Living Room and Bedroom. None of the Sonos devices connect to my home Wifi, they are all on SonosNet, channel 11. Speakers and the controllers have been updated to S2. For this test I was playing music only in the Living Room. The "SONOS_IP_ADDRESS:1400/support/review" diagnostics page confirms that the Playbar uses channel 11 and also channel 48 to communicate with the Sub and Ones: Mode: INFRA (sonosnet) Operating on channel 2462 Home channel is 2462 HT Channel

i bought 6 sonance ceiling speakers.  installed them in the living/Dining room with a the sonos AMP.  When a play songs with certain frequency i hear vibrating distortion.   Here is my findingsI tested all 6 speakers on the same line and song so that i have a common test.  The results were as follows3/6 speakers had the vibrating distortion very prevalent2/6 the sound was there but not as bad1 had the best quality.Obviously the quality of these speakers is not the same. I opened a case with SONOS and waiting for their response.   I also recorded the sound so that you can hear the distortionNo happy at all. Has anyone else experience this issue

Hello,Some thumbnails of mp3 music files, located on my Synology NAS, show the wrong album art in my S2 app (app version 12.2.5).How can I correct that? Thanks.

Why doesn’t someone make the android phone app do the same things as the PC app? They both show Music Library, SONOS Radio, Amazon Music and TuneIn. But the phone app does not show SONOS Playlists. If I go to on this Mobile Device, I see Playlists, but I get a message that says, No selections are available. There are no instructions I can fin as to how to add to the phone playlists. Please, can someone help here? I would like the playlist I have set up on the PC to show on the phone so I can choose the fruits of my labor. Thank you.

I tried to play music through airplay on my Sonos One and Sonos One SL stereo pair. The problem was the music suddenly started at maximum volume. I stopped the music after about 3-4 seconds. My concern is why this issue occurred and if my speakers were damaged as a result. Thanks.
