Recently I am running into an issue with a sonos roam. Playback is stopping as the wifi is unstable. I have changed nothing in my system and the roam worked perfectly before. All speakers except the roam and move are on sonosnet. I have moved a mesh speaker to beside the roam but that didn't help. The other roam and move both work perfectly. Diagnostics report is 1701542254
For a few days now, I’m unable to connect either my iPhone or iPad to my Roam SL via AirPlay. Symptoms: when Roam speaker is on, it does not show in the Sonos app when the Roam speaker is on, it shows that it’s asleep in the Sonos app When the Roam speaker is on, and I try to share audio via AirPlay from my device, the speaker is an option on the airplay list, but times out and does not connect What I’ve tried:a. powered off all devices and powering them back on, phone, iPad, Roam. b. Reset the Roam speaker c. Made sure all devices have the most recent OS and updatesd. Unpaired my Roam from my Sonos system and set the speaker up again via the set up process Briefly after I completed step d above, I could play music on my speaker but it then dropped mid stream and I haven’t been able to play music it on it again. At this point I don’t know what else to do. Anyone have any suggestions ?
I recently purchased two Sonos roams with the intention of pairing them to play music in stereo. They are both set up in the wifi system, will play music separately and together on AirPlay but when I follow the directions on my Sonos iOS app to link them I receive a message that reads first “searching for nearby products, make sure they are powered on…and then “two compatible speakers are required to add a stereo pair. Make sure your products are powered on and connected to wi-fi”.Am I missing something that needs to be done? Any help gratefully accepted
Hi- I'm trying to connect my TV via Bluetooth to my sonos system. Is that possible?
Have two Sonos Roam speakers, one without issue, works flawlessly. The other disconnects from the system on a regular basis requiring turning the speaker off and on and other times a reboot is required of the speaker. Have the speakers separated and near each other, same issue. Both on the same network, same issue. Always with the one speaker. The other as stated earlier, no issue.
I bought a Sonos roam for my frequent travels. Apparently, it’s not allowed to travel? Although it’s called roam? Here’s my issue: I get to a new place and I need to connect it to the wifi so I can use it with the TV. But in order to do that I need to factory reset it to connect it to the WiFi, because that’s a clean user experience. So I do that, but it simply won’t connect. Refuses. Now it’s a brick. Because if it isn’t connected via wifi, bluetooth doesn’t work. Am I missing something? I bought a portable speaker that doesn’t allow changing locations?
It seems that if I want to connect my Sonos roam to another device, I first have to forget the device on whichever device it was connected to previously before I can then connect to something else. If this is the case, it is most inconvenient. Means I have to remember which device I had it connected to, find that device, not just disconnect but forget device. Otherwise, unable to connect it to another device such as my iPhone or my iPad. Is this correct?
Has anyone connected a Plenue R player to stereo paired Moves via bluetooth. It seems I can only connect to one speaker or the other. The player does not seem to recognize a paired set and stream to both. Is this just something wrong in how I set up the stereo pairing? Is there a way to make a bluetooth device recognize the pair as just one device? Any suggestions?
Until my new Roam was delivered, I connected my Marley Stir It Up turntable via Bluetooth to my Move, and experienced reliable, excellent quality audio, with no audio problems whatsoever.Since receiving my new Roam, I have paired the Roam to the turntable, and use the Switch mode to connect to the Sonos network to pay the Bluetooth audio on the other Sonos speakers on my network (Beam, Move, and 2 x Symphonisk Lamp Speakers). The system works exactly as expected, but at random intervals I experience audio dropouts on one or more of the Sonos speakers. I have tested the system thoroughly using streaming media sources and do not experience any dropouts whatsoever. The Roam is within 1m of the turntable, so I’m confident the Bluetooth is not disconnecting, and the Wifi network is excellent in this small apartment. The problem only occurs when using the Roam to bring the Bluetooth audio source onto the Sonos network.Has anyone else experienced this problem?
Hi, until last weekend Sonos move (a bit more than a year old) worked as it should. No it is dead silent, ie looks like battery is completely dead. Doesn't charge with USB C nor at the charging base. What should I do next?
I enquired with sonos chat last Sunday about my new move losing charge very quickly. I wasn't 100% sure that I had switched it off rather than standby. So have turned it off for a week and confirmed that it has lost exactly 30% of its charge. Then standing by and woken up only to check charge twice in the last 7hrs today it has now dropped another 19%.-So last Sunday it was turned off with 100%.-7 days later it was 70% when turned on for the first time.-It has then dropped to 51% in standby for 7hrs with the microphone off (turned off last Sunday as a suggestion in the chat) -the wifi modem is about 7m away from this speaker Surely this is not right!!??(As usual there is no one to chat with when you want)
I am having an issue with my Sonos roam speaker. The battery ran flat after which it would not connect to the app, so I did a factory reset reconnected to the app connected to Wi-Fi but currently the device appears as not connected. I am having an issue with my Sonos roam speaker. The battery ran flat after which it would not connect to the app, so I did a factory reset reconnected to the app connected to Wi-Fi but currently the device appears as not connected. I have tried to connect it to the app however, after repeated attempts, shutting it down starting it up. Turning off the router dancing on my head for six minutes. It continues to not connect to the Sonos app. Ironically, now the device doesn’t appear to turn off even when I hold the off button down for 10 to 20 minutes.
Hello how can I connect my Sonos move with onkyo TX NR656?Thanks
Hi,Do you have problems with Airplay with stutters on Roam right after turning it on?Let’s say we have 4 states:1 - when Roam is tuned on and available in network and it’s the only state that allows to play music2 - when Roam completely turned off, after 12 second press on the back button3 - when Roam is in sleep mode, after press on back button4 - low power mode after several minutes on inactivity when WIFI POWER SAVE setting is on.So, transferring from state 1 to 2 and back to 1 (1->2->1) enables stutters. Then transferring from 1 to 3 and back to 1 (1>3>1) n amount of times fixes that.I spoke with Sonos Support and got replacement. The new Roam that I received has exactly the same problem. I tried in different networks with different routers and result is the same.
Hi Sonos Group. I dropped my sonos move and the top is cracked is there a way of getting it replaced / repaired. ThnaksChirs
Hi there. I would like to stop outgoing/incoming calls taking priority when playing music through my Sonos roam speaker. I’ve tried various settings on my phone to no avail. Can anyone help please? ps: title should read sonos roam.
Sonos Roam is normally charged using its dedicated Sonos Qi base.It currently won’t power on. It shows in the app as being “powered off”. No lights are on.If I put it onto a hard wire charger it shows a solid orange charging light. That light does not go off as long as the charging cable is connected. Once I take it off the cable and back onto its charging base, all lights go out.I’ve looked at other posts on this site, and have done all the “reboot” activities (i.e. hold power button for 20+ seconds, etc). Nothing happens. So no matter what I attempt it looks dead. Unit is under 2 years old. Any ideas on how to re-power it anyone??
See many similar post but none are real solutions. What needs to be done to have sonos roam to be reliable and functional at least onceBluetooth keeps dropping. Closing youtube on chrome also kills off the audio completely although my mp3 player is still playing in the background. Grouping with roam also always ungroup by itself. Really frustrating cos NONE of the function works reliably.I am using the bluetooth for my PC - Intel NUC Phantom Canyon.I am using router RT-AC88U with airtime fairness disabled. Plus I already have help from Sonos support prior to configure my router to enable Beam + Sonos One .
Is it possible to play through more than one roam speaker at the same time?
Bought a roam on holiday but can not configure on Hotel wifi so can not use it. Can i Get it to play on Bluetooth without configure to app ? Can it be configure over cellphone 4g ? Without wifi ? Im on holliday now and can not use The device
So I set up my Sonos with a wired network, but am curious if the Roam, which is still listed as wireless as expected, is it wireless to the Sonos network or is it connected my general wi-fi network. Thanks!
After pausing the Sonos Roam while using Airplay, the speaker refuses to resume once play button is pressed yet still shows the speaker is connected over airplay/wifi. Have seen several community discussions about this yet no answer. Please help Sonos this is insanely frustrating. Having to disconnect and reconnect is not how the speaker should work.
Hi I have trouble using my Spotify account with 1 specific Sonos speaker.I have several Sonos products (2 Play5’s, 4 Play 1’s, Playbar and Sonos Roam). From my Spotify app or Sonos app I can start music from Spotify on all Speaker, but the Sonos Roam. This issue just started recently. If I try to start a Spotify playlist through the Sonos app on Sonos Roam it returns message “Spotify lost connection” (loosely translated from Danish). It works if I start on all other speakers. If I use the Spotify I app – I can see all my speakers, the Sonos Roam included, as Spotify connect. Again I can start music on all speakers, but the Sonos Roam. If I choose that, it just try to start the music, but silently loose the connection/give up.This happens regardless if I just my Samsung Android Phone, Apple iPad or Macbooc. Each with both the Sonos App and Spotify app.But here’s the kicker: If I use e.g. my wifes Spotify account, it work flawless in both the Sonos app and Spotify app. The issue only pers
Hi SONOS Support We’ve got two MOVE Speakers set up in Stereo in our bedroom. We sporadically put one of these MOVE Speakers into Bluetooth mode so it can pair with the FireTV Stick, which works great - the problem, which is repeatable, when you put it back to WiFi mode it drops the Stereo pairing (name and everything related to the pair) it had with the other MOVE and needs to be set up all over again; which is very frustrating. Please can this be addressed, it doesn’t make sense that it should do this once back on the same WiFi it came from…few people are going to be moving the charger all over the place… Thank you
Hi alli was wondering if it is possible to have the mic activated on Roam without having the light on? I purchased it as a replacement for an Amazon Echo Dot in my bedroom, which controls lighting etc. But even though the light is small, I find it irritating at night. Thanks!
