I just purchased a Sonos Beam Gen 2. I did but it used and noticed it was already setup to another system so I performed a factory reset and tried setting it up with my Sonos app. I got to where it says "Your Beam has been added, but may not appear in your System. If so, unplug the power cord and plug it back in to finish setup from System Settings." I've followed the steps and cannot seem to get it to work or show up in my app. The Beam does have a solid white status light on. My wifi situation is not ideal as I am in a college dorm with shared WiFi. The network is private and does not require a username, just a password.

I'm trying to decide the best placement for my Sonos Era 300 speakers, and I'd like your input. Here's my current setup: I have the Arc, Sub, and two Era 300 speakers replacing my previous Sonos One speakers for surround sound. The blue circles indicate where my current Sonos Ones are positioned.For the Era 300s, I'm considering the following placement options:1. Green circles: Slightly above ear level when seated on the couch.2. Red circles: Higher up, angled downward towards the couch.Which placement do you think would deliver the best sound experience?

So, I need to upgrade my setup. I have limited funding so I can’t afford “back speakers this time” and might add them later. But would this setup work and would the E 300 speakers add to the experience? Or is a Arc Ultra enough?

I need some technical help here please. I am currently running an Arc, Sub 3 and an Amp with two wired ceiling speakers as one room. I am upgrading to an Arc Ultra and Sub 4 and want to connect them to the current amp that has two wired ceiling speakers to run as one room, as before.I have removed the original Arc and Sub 3, factory reset them and moved them to another TV. They connected, renamed and working fine, so they are out of play.I have set up and connected the Arc Ultra to the TV and have it up and running. I was able to connect the Sub 4 to wired speaker amp, which is named Great Room.  When I originally connected the Ultra, it asked me where to connect and gave my Great Room amp as a location, which I selected. When Ultra connected it created a new room called Great Room 2. Now I have two separate rooms. Great Room, which is the wired speakers and the Sub 4 and Great Room 2, which is the Ultra. Hi EveryoneI cant get the ARC Ultra to show ATMOS 7.1 it will only show ATMOS 5.1I was so looking forward to the 9.1.4 setup showing the 7.1 on the App?I am playing on a TV with eARCH and currently using the PLEX player.(All my 4K BluRay ATMOS disc is ripped with all content to mkv)My Surround receiver shows it correctly. My questions:Is there a difference in quality between the Atmos 7.1 vs Dolby Digital Plus 7.1 playback? Is this the HDMI problem? do I need to invest in a Switch like the FeinTech VAX04101A or the HDFury Arcana to get ATMOS Recognized correctly? Would a Shield Pro fix this problem? Has ANYONE gotten a ATMOS 7.1 to show up on the Sonos Ultra App? Hi all!Currenty I have a Playbar connected to my Sony TV’s optical port. I am buying the Arc Ultra. Since my Sony TV is older model, it only has Hdmi ARC. Is it a better choice to connect the Arc Ultra via Hdmi ARC, or optical ?. I presume the optical will give me regular 5.1. and Hdmi Arc losy atmos. Oh and, in between I have the Nvidia Shield TV. (1Gen)Other apps and other show on Max has no problems.The TV Sony Bravia can play TBBT show fine.I have a Beam 1.gen connected with HDMI and two One SL in the back.Can anyone  reproduce this problem? 

My Sub crackles loudly when watching parts of shows that have explosions/gunfight scenes. I have unplugged and reset it. Have reintroduced it to my sound bar. Still get this loud crackle or feedback when scene in show is an action scene.

The arc ultra is paired with 2 era 300s and sub gen 3 and so far is better in every aspect to the arc with the exception of use for gaming. Some voices are quiter, volume is also not as loud having to turn it up much higher than with the arc. The bass is noticeably lower, this was done with trueplay. Switched back to the arc and none of this is existent. Anyone have a fix for this? 

this is my floor plan  I currently have an arc (green) in front of my tv. 2 Sonos One speakers as surrounds (yellow)1 sub gen 3 (blue)would I be fine to upgrade to the era 300 even with the open concept left side surround or would I be better to upgrade to era 100

I wish to use a Sonos Ray simply as an external speaker for a TV via the optical input.  I have only a public network available and can connect my windows 10 PC to the Sonos device as it is listed in the available network devices.  My Norton smart firewall is disabledThe Sonos app cannot connect to the Ray and I get the “Try Again” message.Suggestions are welcome and have considered that this unit is not appropriate for this situation.  It must tolerate occasional loss of power without any computer intervention to recover.I did change the TV to send audio to the optical output but the Sonos does not decode it in the absence of the setup process.Thank you,Mike

Hey, I own a Beam (Gen 2) and a Sub Mini that are connected via HDMI ARC to my LG TV (43UR80006LJ) and tackled a problem lately that I hope you can shed some light on. I stream most of my media through my PC via a server that is connected to an app named ‘Emby’.While using the SONOS app, I almost always check the type of the audio format, and it works great, but on specific occasions I get the Stereo PCM mark. This happens only when streaming movies or TV shows that have image-based subtitles (PGS\ASS) through the TV Emby app.I use only EAC3 audio tracks in my Emby library, and whenever I enable the subtitles, I see the PCM mark.Needless to say, this causes a drastic decrease in the quality of audio.I’ve tried to ask if it’s a problem from the Emby client’s side, but it turns out that the audio file is a direct copy of the original EAC3 2.0 and should show the Dolby Digital Plus 2.0 mark instead, but it does not. At the

On the second day of purchasing the Beam Gen 2 (November 2022) we experienced the machine gun/jackhammer blast of INSANITY AT FULL VOLUME. Needless to say this scared the $%&@ out of us, the kids, and the cat. This happened two times, while streaming Apple Music and streaming Netflix. Comfort and confidence is diminished with this product.  I contacted support and they are sending a replacement right away.  A few technical details of our setup:Samsung Frame 43” TV AppleTV 4K Surround with two Play: 5 HDMI eARC connection

Such a simple connection to eArc HDMI on LG tv,  Started setting up on App….keep getting ERROR 1,000 as It asks to register product. won’t recognize the soundbar at all, my home interent notification tells me SONOS is connected to home wifi….…so app is useless to me but biggest issue is when I turn on TV, the sound(which is good when it finally kicks in) takes approx 2 minutes to work thru the soundbar. I’ve been on multiple sites looking for fix...tried so much...so second day of having it , I am returning in 2 days unless someone has a solution??

Good day team, I would appreciate your help today. I did the Quick Tune (Iphone ). The Height effects are there with Atmos only of course. Settings: Height +7, Treble +2, Bass -6, Loudness on. Speech Enhancement Low. However I do notice the voices are too low and the explosions or action scenes are too high and I keep changing volumes. I usually use it between 18-28 tops for Atmos. For regular 2.0 or 5.1 I have to increase to 50-60. I have notices the Arc does not Upmix the sound like me former JBL 9.1 did.

Hello, I have a sonos beam. After update app on my Android smartphone I was not able to connect to my beam. I decided to reset my beam too. Unfortunatly my beam can't connect to wifi anymore. I try another wifi, I try with another smartphone, I try only with 2,4GHz wifi but nothing resolved thé probleme. When I try to set UP, the app can see my beam but, I Can see all the wireless network arround but when I put the password, no matter the wifi I choose, beam can't connect eather with RJ45. Any idea ?

My Sonos Beam will not connect to my new Samsung Frame TV. I’ve gone through the in-app setup and repeatedly get the “TV Speakers not connected.” error. To troubleshoot so far I have:disconnect and reconnect Beam to TV disconnect and unplug TV and Beam from power for 10 minutes then connect back to power and follow app instructions  factory reset Beamplease help!!
