I have an Ultra , a set of 300s and a grouped set of Fives. In order to get Dolby Atmos do I have to turn off my set of Fives to get Atmos or can I leave my grouped set of Fives on?

Hi all - looking for some suggestions on the right Sonos equipment/placement. First time posting to Community. Any help is appreciated. For our basement multi-purpose room, you can see the room is split with half of it being a TV/entertainment room and the other half being a kids playroom.Over December holidays I got the Beam (Gen 2) and sub mini which is creating amazing sound. I didn’t want to get the Arc Ultra for the size, and the fact the kids play there and I didn’t want to risk damaging such an expensive item that was also 2-3x the size of the Beam (Gen 2).However, I have no rear sound currently and was looking for feedback on a few options.Option1: get the Amp to power the existing ceiling Polk audio speakers for left/right channel. question - unfortunately the way the speakers are wired, the ceiling speakers wire is on the other side of the room. there is no way to have the TV output go to the amp. is that an issue? plus - get rear sound that’s Sonos enabled but is left/right c

My Sonos Arc is now having some issues after 1 year of use and I’ve tried every suggested help article as well as some of the solutions provided in this community. The Arc software is up to date and so is the software for my TV as well as my Apple TV device. I have also submitted a diagnostic request: *********** I am experiencing 3 main issues, in order of frequent occurrence:The sound cuts out every hour or so for about 10 seconds. It just suddenly gets completely quiet and then the sound returns to normal after 10 seconds. This happens when I am watching anything on my Apple TV streaming device Every few days or so, there is a loud popping/cracking sound. This usually happens when the screen saver is on or something is paused. Basically when no actually movie or video is playing. The sound is loud, as if a speaker has blown out, and it lasts about 3-5 seconds When just streaming music via Spotify using the Arc (TV is not on at all), the music will just stop completely. I have to ask

I will post this everyday until it happens. PLEASE MAY WE HAVE THE FULL GAMUT OF DTS SUPPORT!!?!!?

Lately I have noticed annoying vibration or ressonance especially from voices or talking. I have owned the beam for 3 years and the problem is recent, so something has happened. Any ideas?

I have a background noise on my system, sounds like somebody connected to my ARC playing a game. Is there a way to check which devices are connected to my system? The sound pops up when i watch tv, when i mute the tv the sound remains.Appreciate your feedback. Thanks, Rick

Salve, è possibile collegare gli speaker da incasso (per controsoffitto) alla soundbar arc ultra con connessione Bluetooth e senza un amplificatore dedicato? Eventualmente, quanti speaker posso collegare?grazie

I’ve recently bought Era 300s for use as rear surrounds but have discovered that they won’t work with most of my 4K discs as the audio is DTS rather than Dolby Atmos.  My 4K player (Panasonic UB820) doesn’t seem to have any option to convert the audio to Dolby but my Xbox Series X does. My question is what are the best settings to choose on the Xbox to get the best results for DTS discs.  Do I select Dolby Atmos or 5.1 uncompressed or Dolby digital?  As an aside, am I correct in saying that the UB820 can’t convert audio? Any help appreciated, thanks.

Moderator Edit - Translation by Google:My system consists of the arc, sub and the amp with 2 ceiling speakers.  When I turn on my TV, I can automatically hear sound through the arc. Then I can indicate the amp with the speakers in the app. After a few seconds, sound comes out there too. But sometimes the sound from the 2 speakers cuts out and then suddenly comes back. The arc does not have this problem. Wifi is a strong connection on the app so this cannot be the problem.  anyone have info about this?

Hello, I have followed the troubleshooting notes from Sonos, and my new TV remote is not being detected by Sonos Ray. Help please!TCL Google TV 2023 + new Sonos Ray.

My setup: Sonos beam 2 → connected to hdmi eArc on TCL tvApple tv → connected to normal HDMI Cec enabled If the sound format is set to Dolby atmos (as it is by default) on my apple TV, there is no sound from the speakers. If I change it to Dolby digital 5.1 it works (although, sometimes it suddenly disappears and I have to change the sound format back and forth again to make it work).Does anyone know how to make the Beam output dolby atmos from apple tv? Does anyone else have problem with the sound suddenly stop working when the Beam is connected to an apple tv?

Hi everyone, I have recently upgraded my system with Sonos Arc Ultra and two ERA 300. In order to connect to my projector BENQ 2700 i (no eARC but 2 HDMI ports that supports audio return) I also got a HD Fury Arcana 2 8.1 . In my initial set up I get sound from the Arc Ultra and ERAs when streaming music. I however can not get sound through the Arcana  when connected to the projector (or TV).  When I first initiated setting up the ARC to projector (TV) it refused as it could not connect to CEC.  Sonos support was unhelpful and informed me that Sonos is primarily developed for TVs and they were unable to help.  I therefore bought a small Phillips TV (24PHS6808/12) with CEC which I plan to return after successful setup with my BenQ projector. The ARC then concluded TV set up and confirmed that ArC Ultra was connected to to the TV. I hoped that this golden handshake would solve my problems. I did however  not get any sound from the ARC even though I checked TV settings and have activated

Moderator Edit - Translation by Google:Hello everyone,I would like to switch my Era 300 speakers to a surround configuration and I would like your advice. My ears are about 40 cm from the back wall and to the side. Is this distance too close to the speakers? Also, do you think it is better to go for fixed or swivel mounting brackets?Thank you in advance for your help!

I love the “enhanced” dialog enhancement of the Arc Ultra.  At the moment, you must navigate to “Settings” to change the desired level of enhancement.  It would be great if the App  control (which now simply turns dialog enhancement On or Off) allowed you to cycle through the various levels.  Not a big surprise, but I find that different types of content require different levels of enhancement - e.g., an action film (High) versus the play-by-play in a football game (Low or Medium).  Can this one control be used to provide On/Off functionality for the Arc, but Low/Medium/High/Off functionality for the Arc Ultra?

My LG  2024 Tv and Sonos Beam two sl1 and mini sub have worked perfectly until today. the sound settings on The TV have completely changed to a long bar for adjustment, also The speakers lack surround sound, the only thing difference is we watched football on the red button setting, could that have caused a complete  change ? Completely baffled!

Dear all,my Sonos configuration consists ofSonos Arc Ultra Sonos Sub 3rdIt performed the latest update on 2025-01-12 and Bluetooth playback stopped working. Hi,  I have a Sonos arc and am planning to get two era 100’s as surround. I understand  that the era 100’s do not have Dolby atmos however Will I still get Dolby atmos from the arc. Thanks

I am upgrading from Beam 2.  To.  Arc ultra. Question Do I have  to setup again my mini sub and 2 100 rear speakers to Arc? Thank you…

I’ve got Beam(gen1), Sub Mini, x2 Ones surround sound. I noticed the other day that the Sub Mini isn’t as noticeable as it once was - a real noticeable difference in the experience. It’s still working but it doesn’t have the impact it had - it’s gone flat. It’s subtle where it was once impactful and not noticeable where it was once subtle. (I don’t have night sounds enabled) I noticed this morning that my surrounds (two Ones) are not playing music when I play music through the telly - they once played ambient music. I have it sent to ambient sounds and again usually there’s a noticeable ambient sound - now there is nothing. Switched the music playback to full and still nothing. Has anyone else experienced this? I’m not sure what’s happened.

My Sonos beam (gen 2) is wall mounted.  There doesn’t seem to be enough room behind the speaker for the hdmi cable to comfortably make the turn, therefore it kinks.  Any remedies anyone have for this?

As title says, my Playbar powers off after a few seconds. Initially the led light is on then shuts off. This issued began a few years ago but I’m back to trying to fix it. anyone know a fix for this?I’ve tried different cords and outlets.

Hi everyone…I'm new & late to the party...I've already seen a few and helpful answers to the question I wanted to ask. That is, what sub should I get that's compatible with my GEN 2 BAR, recently acquired. Some helpful answers are about 1 year or so old now, so I thought I'll raise the question again, in case things have chenged since. Tech is restless & always on the go, however, if nothing much has changed, then I'll try and follow some of the advice already given by the community.Cheers everyone.Gidu

I followed the instructions with the app and set up the TV remote as well. The problem I am having is that i can only increase the volume via TV remote but not reduce the volume. Has anyone got any suggestions?  At the moment I can only reduce the volume via the Sonos App or by tapping the bar. Please help

I have a sono sub mini and 2 sonos one gen 2s is there a way at all to connect them to a tv with aux I have a connect but isn't compatible with sonos sub mini

My first  Beam2 worked beautifully until after 10 months it would no longer connect to the network.  It was replaced in record time but the new one does not sound a good as the old.  It seems to have resonant peaks which affect the clarity of some sounds mainly speech.  I tried to use the Trueplay function on my iPhone to level the frequency response but that no longer works.  Any ideas please?
