Hi,

I have a couple of Gen 1 Play 5’s and a Play 1 that, even though I believe are now unsupported, work perfectly fine.  however I’m quite tempted to get myself an Arc soundbar but I’m unsure if it will all be compatible?  Would my Plays continue to work as is if I get an arc or would things start to act up?

The Gen 1 Play:5 are not compatible with the Arc.  You would need to set them up as two systems, one S1, the other S2.  The Play:1 is compatible with both models of the Arc (Arc and Arc Ultra) except it cannot be used a surrounds on the Arc Ultra.  But it can be grouped to play in sync.

Great - thanks @jgatie .  I’m fine with it running on a separate systems as I don’t really have a requirement to play music on the Arc - I only plan to use it as a sound bar.

Just an addition - the S1 devices are not unsupported. They still get security updates, just no new features.
