Dear All,Has anyone figured out how to add Sonos Arc to HomeKit? I believe Sonos speakers are supposed to be compatible, so I’m rather surprised that my Arc is not showing up when I’m trying to add it to HomeKit... Thank you,Daniel

Hi all. I have a Beam which is running fine on my 4K tv, via HDMI(arch), with Dolby digital as the sound source. I’ve added two Sonos ones to my network and they appear configured correctly,  my system information comes up with the above message for my Beam and have no idea why. I have a high speed internet connection where the system is connected via 5Ghz to the Sonos ecosystem, but I get nothing with my surrounds, I’ve tried 2.4Ghz, and all the obvious things, like hardware reboots, router reset, but still nothing. I’ve run source programming with 5.1 to test but have had no end of frustration.Does any one have any ideas? I have a sub on order and after spending days on trying to figure why I’m getting the above message, I’m at a point of canceling that order, as it pointless having just a Beam that can’t support a sub or surrounds.might be something in the router config, but would be guessing as to what the system needs to get other products to work in

I just  bought the Gen3 Sub but im dissapointed, the volume is too low i cannot hear anything,I need to put the ear on the side to barely hear a sound, already did all the reset/deleting and EQ related, but nothing works. Edit: It’s connected to a beam + 2 SL

I just received a Sonos beam for Christmas. I tried installing it in my apartment who has a shared wifi for the building (10 apts.) . The setup goes swiftly until I reach the moment to connect the Beam to the wifi. I enter the wifi password and the wheel starts turning for about 2-3 minutes then the app shows a message that says: “The Beam has been added, but may not appear in the system tab. If so, unplug the power cord and plug it back in to finish setup from the System tab.” I follow these instructions. When the Beam restarts, I still cant access the System tab and I have a message that shows at the top of the app “Unable to connect to sonos”. I tried going to the building router and plugging an ethernet cable, but nothing changed/worked. I saw that a way to get around a shared wifi would be to buy a travel router. Could that work in my situation? Or is there anything else I can do?  Thanks

Hi All, I have the LG CX and just got my Sonos Arc + Sub. I have the arc hooked into HDMI 2 for ARC/eARC capabilities and when using apps through the TV itself, the audio is output in Dolby Atmos (when possible). However, when I try to use my FireStick4k (LG doesn’t have HBO Max app yet) plugged into HDMI 1, all apps show the best possible audio output as 5.1.  I have my TV set to output via HDMI ARC, I have eARC turned on and I have the output set as Pass Through (although I changed it to that setting from ‘auto’ after already using and setting up the Sonos Arc). I also have updated the settings in my FireStick4k to Dolby Digital+ for audio.  Is there anything else I can do to get the Atmos sound to play through the Arc when using my FireStick? Is it possible that I need to reset my TV and redo the audio and set it to Pass Through before playing any sound through the Sonos Arc in order for other HDMI ports to receive Dolby Atmos audio? 

I have seen mentions in this forum of sound dropping out on a Sonos Beam. Many comments seem quite old and I am wondering if I am missing something.I purchased a Beam this Summer. From fairly early on I experienced sound drop outs.I replaced the HDMI cable (running from ARC on Sony Bravia XBR800H - also brand new this Summer).No success.I also ended up forgetting about the Apple TV 4K and just running directly from the TV to the Beam hoping that would simplify things and help thingsNo success.It seemed to be happening less but after a few weeks it’s back to happening many times in every show we watch. As others have noted, it’s driving me nuts.I had imagined moving all my 3 other screens to Sonos but at this rate I have no confidence that it’s reliable, which is such a pity since I respect the seamless experience. If anyone in this community has more recent advice on what I can try that would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,My current set up is beam with 2 x SLs behind. i have the beam connected to my LG55SM8600PLA through HDMI arc. Am i thinking my system is 5.0 and why is it showimg PCM 2.0  on my sonos app? Would it be better through optical in?? or do i need to change some settings somewhere?Cheers 

I have ran a diagnostics test - 2021248624. I have a Sonos Beam and 2 Sonos One that I have used as surround speakers for a long time.  A few weeks ago my surrounds lost their connection as a surround to the beam and I can’t get it back.  Currently my system is showing Living Room (+?+?) and the Ones aren’t listed.  I remove the surrounds and the speakers don’t show back up right away.  If I unplug the Ones and then plug them back up they will show up. Then I attempt to connect them as a surround, the system sees both Ones, it pings a speaker to ask is that left or right side, it starts pairing and then after about 1-2 minutes it just gives up and says it was unsuccessful.  I’ve done this over and over for too long…. I need help.

Hi, we have just connected our bean to our tv. We seem to be having issues with the volume that it is putting out. We have checked that it’s on Dolby within the tv setting. When we play music and I compare it to our Sonos 1 it does not seem to deliver the same volume. It’s is delivery better sound quality.  When we compare this to our previous system it’s got no punch.

4 products in my system - 1st gen z80 with ethernet connection and wired  to my hi fi amp, a Beam, a Play 5 and a Connect Amp. My problem is with wired Z80 when in party mode. It drops out when linked to others. All play OK individually. What is the answer??

Hi all.I’ve been having problems with my beam almost since I got it. 5-10 I’ve been forced to reset my tv and my beam to make it work. This time it didn’t work on hdmi-arc after reset, so had to plug in to optical adapter. And now tv remote can’t control volume any longer. Last time I talked to a supporter, I told him I would buy another brand, and he told me he would do the same. the buzzing I’ve decided I could live with. Next problem. Yesterday I connected my sons Nintendo switch to the tv. After about 5 minutes, the sound goes from beam to tv. After that, it’s impossible to make the beam work with hdmi. Beam has been reset, and so has the tv. Doesn’t work. I really love my Sonos when it works, but it’s just more and more things that make me want to leave this brand.any good ideas?

I got a new Sonos Beam Shadow for my system.  The device is recognized by the app, but when I go to register the product and link it to my account, it says “there was a problem linking the beam to your system.”  Anyone else run into this issue? 

Is it possible to connect Sonos Arc to Sonos Play:1?

Having trouble adding my new Sonos One to my existing Sonos Beam. When the Beam is on, the app fails to find the One. When the One is on, it can’t find the Beam. Have upgraded my iOS to 14.3 but get stuck at “I don’t see my product” stage. Have done a factory reset on the Beam (the Sonos is brand new). When I have the Beam connected via ethernet, it connects with the app ok (just not when the One is on). With wifi only, the app does not find the Beam. Am pretty tech savvy so this is a bit baffling. House has v decent wifi and Beam and Sonos are in the same location (<5 ft apart). Everything is S2. Any suggestions welcome. 

I recently purchased a new TV which I plan to mount. I would like to mount the playbar we have as well and be able to conceal the wires. Any recommendations? Is the mount on the Sonos site worth it? Thanks in advance!

So I set up my Arc on a Panasonic viera TV which has an hdmi arc port on hdmi 2.on set up with TV turned on Sonos could not detect an hdmi arc port until I changed source to hdmi 2 away from TV when it then connected and sound then came from the TV when I switched the source back.since then when I switch the TV on there is no sound until I changed source to hdmi 2 and the arc wallpaper and back to TV source again.music seems to stream fine.

We can be watching netflix on the TV and the sound seems to just stop.  If we skip forward or backwards the sound comes back. Diag 2118038459

Hi guysI spent a lot of money on my Sonos Surround ( Arc + 2 Sub Gen 3 + 2 SL ). I even got a boost to improve wireless communication. I spent 900 euros in the most expensive 4k bluray of Panasonic,  which is amazing..I got a lot of UHD movies with Dolby Atmos and the sound 8s amazing.  However, many other 4K movies are coming in DTS X , and for those my only option is setup the audio output in the bluray to PCM. The problem is that the quality is not so great.Will Sonos be ever compatible in the future with DTS ?

Hi, I’m new to the Sonos ecosystem, I have a question to ask: when I’m not using my Sonos setup (at night) the devices disconnect from the network or whatever and there are question marks in the app where it says what kind of devices do I have in my room. Is this normal? It’s some kind of a low power mode feature? 

I have a LG 47LA7909 TV and a Beam with two Play:1 for Stereo Sound.In the App you should be able to set up the TV for the Sonos System by plugging in the HDMI cable to the ARC port in the TV.Sound is already playing after I activated Simplink on my TV but I cannot control the TV with the app, nor the volume with the TV remote, due to this set up error in the App.It says that no HDMI ARC connections can be detected.Reseting the TV hasn't worked eitherAny ideas for a solution?Thanks in advance!Markus

I have a Google pixel 3a which I use to connect to my two Sonos One SLs. Occasionally it works perfectly, and when I am in the middle of using it (e.g. go to change a song) it is usually fine. However, when I first begin to try using it, it almost always fails to connect. I close the app and reopen it but doesn't help. It always seems to take a few minutes to get going. I get a variety of error messages, most often 1001 or 1002. My partner has a Google Pixel 5 and never has this problem Can anyone help? I saved up for a long time to afford good speakers, and it's very frustrating to have them malfunction all the time. Thanks,James Diagnostic ref: 1932698396

Hi, Recently got a Sonos arc. Wired up ok, but sound is really poor. Worse than my beam. Think it may be faulty. Tried to run the trueplay tuning.  Initial wave of sounds are ok. End up with a green circle on my iPhone,  then tuning just gets stuck on ‘listening to test tones’. I am guesssing some speakers are not firing and so the tuning can’t complete?Any advice appreciated.  ThanksA

Hello all, I have been noticing a crackling (almost like fireworks) any time the movie gets really loud. I have only noticed it so far with watching Harry Potter on SyFy (Roku TV), but will update if I hear it on other platforms. Has anyone else noticed this? I submitted a diagnostic and will contact Sonos, but figured I’d also check if anyone has experienced this. 

if I start the day playing the radio directly through the songs App, I need to restart my Sonos Arc in order for it to register the tv audio thereafter. I’ve tried numerous set ups to make the transition from tv to radio but nothings working. Any ideas? My LG tv is a 49UB850v-ZD 

I currently have 2 Sonos SL ONES I HAVE ORDERED A SONOS ARC CAN ANYONE TELL ME PLEASE CAN I HAVE THE ARC WORKING ON A WAN CABLE AND THE SL ONES ON WIFI
