So I’ve had my Sonos home theater setup for over 10 months using an ARC, 2 Play 5 Gen 2, Sub Gen 2, and Sub Gen 3.  I am using a Sonos Boost for my Sonia Network and had been perfect for 10 months but last week got disconnected for no reason, and when tying to reconnect the Play 5 gen 2 pair the setup wizard connecting them to the ARC and subs will time out saying it didn’t connect.  When I go to look at my system it will no longer show the Play 5s and it will indicate I have surround speakers hooked to the ARC yet they don’t play any sound and the room with the ARC will show (ARC+Subx2+??) so I remove the surround speakers from the ARC and try to connect again.  I have reset all speakers and started from scratch but still cannot get my Play 5s to connect to my ARC as the surrounds.  I have had Sonia for over 8 years with no problems and even upgraded my speakers.  I have 4 Play 1, 2 Play 5 Gen 2, 1 playbar, 1 ARC, and 2 Subs Gen2.   if anyone knows how to get this fixe

Hello,I planned to connect my projector (XGIMI Horizon Pro) to a Sonos bar and 2 satellites. The projector comes with an optical output, so I’ll probably buy a Sonos Ray or reuse my existing Playbar.The problem is that the projector is placed on one end of the room, while the bar will be on the opposite side, and I cannot run a long optical cable from one end to the other.Is there any solution to this?Thank you in advance,Davide

This update has ruined the sound of my sonos Arc and Sub. I have an Arc, Sub gen 2 and surrounds SL ones. My system has lost volume, the sound used to be clear and the bass strong. Now it sounds muddy and the bass i loved has disappeared. Ive re calibrated trueplay and with it active the sound is even worse. Messing with the EQ changes nothing. Now sounds like the samsung system i ditched after hearing sonos.  The sound on the previous firmware was fine and didn’t need any adjustment.i chatted with support yesterday and all re booting, pairing etc didn’t change anything.Perhaps if you (sonos) gave us a chance to roll back or even chose if we want to update it would be ok. You have left me with a system that now sounds terrible. Sonos, return to the previous sound profile. You are going to loose business and support. I’m thinking strongly to changing brand. This is shocking from a company to just change someones sound without giving them the choice. Absolutely gutted. 

When I first got my arc for 2 years ago I had a problem. Sometimes the sound just disappeared. After a updated everything was ok. But now after firmware 14.20 this seems to be back. Only difference is that now it is enough to toggle tv on and off. The first time I had to pull the plug. Hopefully a new firmware update will fix this issue soon.  I think there is way to much firmware problems with my sonos system, and I start regretting my latest purchase, two fives and a sub. Her I have problems with trueplay which only works on left speaker and sub 😢 

Hi all,Just bought a Sonos arc and I’m having a bit of trouble setting up a TV. My current set up is an HDFury Arcana that has a Chromecast plugged into it and then one output going into my projector and one arc output going into the Sonos Arc. Things I’ve tried:> unplugging everything> checking the arcana module about CEC problems> don’t have a CEC TV to set it up with> skipped through the TV set up in sonosPlease advise, absolutely stumped on how to use a Sonos Arc in this setup!

I have two Playbars both bought from the same shop a few weeks apart in 2016, connected via Optical cable to two TVs.  One with a new Samsung TV worked immediately with the TV remote to control the volume of the Playbar.  The other was on an older Panasonic TV and the Playbar volume never worked with the Remote.  The TV sound came out of the TV speakers and the Sonos Playbar, but you had to control the Sonos Playbar volume levels through the Sonos App.  I assumed this was due to the age of the TV. However, I have now moved the Samsung TV to the other room and connected it to this 2nd Playbar and the Remote still does not control the Playbar volume.  It still has to be controlled on the Sonos App.  I am now thinking there must be an issue with the Playbar. They look identical on the system, same version, hardware, series ID.  The only difference in setup is the one not working on remote hasn’t got Trueplay tuning set up as everytime I try that, it errors saying I’m not

I’ve not be able to find instructions on how to connect the Amp wirelessly or if it is possible. I have a theatre room upstairs and my modem is downstairs. I have one Amp, which is going to power two sets of wired speakers. I just need to know the correct way to connect the Amp to the network wirelessly. 

When I turn up or down the tv volume level a voice comes over saying “volume increased or decreased on arc hdmi 1, so I’m wondering if that voice can be turned off? 

I have my Beam +Sub with a Samsung TV  Beam works perfectly because it’s  connected via Arc To the TV.  sub it’s connected with a solid white light status and the app says they are linked properly but there is not sound from sub. Sometimes the sound comes for few seconds and goes…. i already did everything recommended in this forum about deleting the sub and add it again…. Turn off and on…. Check for updates…. Reboot router…  im very disappointed with this  $700+ piece not working.  do you have any extra suggestion? Sonos tech support I already sent diagnostic 346752926

I have  a SUB connected to two FIVES for stereo music listening. In the same living room we have a TV with a BEAM.  Is it possible to play music with FIVES and SUB, then watching TV use BEAM + the same SUB?when I try and connect the SUB to the BEAM it makes me disconnect the SUB from the stereo FIVES which is very frustrating.Seems like an obvious set up many people would want so I would value any advice. Thanks so mich!

Hi , I recently got a set of Mark Levinson headphones but when I try to enable Bluetooth on my LG E9 it connects for a few seconds and then cuts out , I tried unplugging my arc and then it works but stops again as soon as I plug it back in , even if I change the settings and turn earc off and pick tv speaker it just reverts back to earc and my sonos set up after a few seconds ........any ideas of anything else to try ? Thanks.

Hi I own a Beam 1 Gen. + Sub Mini I wanted a technical opinion. When a file or something I'm watching on TV supports both DTS and Dolby Digital what is better to use? I tried but I don't notice a particular difference, also because since I have to fiddle with the remote control in various menus, the transition is not immediate. I have set up my Sonos Beam Gen 1 with my Sky Glass TV, however initially the Volume Control failed to work with the Sonos Beam. I had to change my Sky Glass remote to IR and now the Volume Controls work, but not ideal. The buttons for Sky Glass do not respond 100% and have to point the remote at the TV. When will Sonos Beam support the Bluetooth connection of the Sky Glass Remote and does anyone know if it’s supported with the Sonos Beam Gen 2?

Can I use the Line In on a Sonos Port to send the rear surround L/R signal from my AVR (which has pre-outs for all channels) to a Sonos Amp wired to in-ceiling speakers behind my viewing area?  For context: I’m moving to a condo that is pre-wired for for in-ceiling speakers in areas that have a drop ceiling (including an area behind the living room which does NOT have a drop ceiling and cannot be wired for in-ceiling or in-wall speakers). The pre-wiring all runs to a utility closet in the back of the condo. I’ll be powering the in-ceiling speakers in the condo with Sonos Amps that’ll live in the utility closet. I’m also setting up my “HT” in the living room which will include a Marantz AVR wired to the LRC speakers, the LR surround speakers as well as the subwoofer.  I cannot run wires from the AVR to the in-ceiling speakers or back to the utility closet unfortunately.  It’d be great if I could run RCA cables out of the rear channel pre-outs on my Marantz AVR into a So

HelloI am owner of a new system of Sonos at my home.I bought set of :1 Five and 2 One SL I am not filling like its the best fit together with the TV and thinking what to do:I am debating what is the better product to improve my home theater experience debating about Sub Gen 3 \ Sub mini \ Beam.I connected the Five to the TV with AUX cable but I feel like its missing some quality on the way.I am sure that buying Sub will improve the experience and also Ray\ Beam that will connect with a better option like HDMI cable to the system.The thing is if there is anyway to connect wirelessly the TV with the FIVE and than i guess I will go for the SUB option.I have also APPLE TV but the airplay not working always the best (some applications not supporting and sometimes having delay)  ThanksJordi

I can play music through my Sonos, but I can’t seem to get my TV to run through the speakers. It is an older system. Any ideas?

Hi all, I am new to the Sonos community, and I’m hoping you can help me understand what I’m doing wrong. I recently purchased a Beam (Gen 2) and Sub Mini. Something I was looking forward to was Dolby Atmos, however my experience has been inconsistent. When I first setup the Beam, I played the intro sequence to Top Gun Maverick, and the Sonos app was correctly reporting Atmos (and it sounded great). After bouncing around several apps, including watching content without Atmos support, I’m having a hard time getting the Beam to resume Atmos when it’s available. For example, when attempting to watch Andor on Disney+, the output was labeled as Dolby Digital 5.1, when the content is labeled as having Dolby Atmos. The only way that I’ve been able to get the Beam to resume Atmos is to disconnect and reconnect the HDMI cable from the TV. Considering that I have gotten Atmos, I’m sure that the hardware itself isn’t the issue. I’m hopeful that this is a setting or other

I have an ARC, 2 Sonos 1’s and a sub. Everything was working well until I turned my TV on the other morning. My Arc is not being recognized by the system. I have run the tests through the app and it does not connect. I tried a different HDMI cable and also went to another TV but it still doesn’t work. I can play music though the app as well as Spitify, but I can’t get my TV to see the ARC.  I am connected to the ARC HDMI port on the TV. Any Ideas?

I just got a Beam 2 and it’s connected via HDMI to a Samsung TU8000 series TV. Right off the bat it worked with my Samsung Smart Remote without me doing anything.I’d like to use one of my old universal URC MX-350 remotes if possible instead of the Samsung remote. How can I get the MX-350 to work with the Beam 2… it can learn individual commands or takes a 3 digit code? It can be set to IR, RF, or IR/ RF. I don’t want to mess up the Samsung remote automatically controlling the Beam 2 in the process though.So can the Beam 2 be controlled by my URC MX-350?Could it also be controlled by a Directv remote?

When I first purchased the Sonos ARC the soundbar had enough bass to make me content. Now after a few updates the bass has never been the same. Is there a known issue?  I have the Arc along with two sl1

Using the playbar and 2 play1 surrounds with an optical connection. Hisense U6G TV set to Dolby Digital for digital optical audio out. No audio from the surrounds when the TV output is Dolby digital. The Sonos app shows Dolby Digital 5.0 when audio is playing. But nothing from surrounds. When I set the audio to pass through or auto it shows Stereo PCM. And there is some audio from the surrounds but it’s just stereo. Any thoughts?

Hi, I have a Playbase and 2 x Play1 and had them all set up in my home theatre to my (Samsung) TV with surround sound, connected via wifi working great. However my Playbase suddenly stopped being found.  I have tied the following:Connected via LAN cable and it works but it then cannot join the Play1’s for surround sound as they are via wifi and now different network  Playbase simply is not connecting via wifi anymore. Been through all the support steps online without success Both Play1s work together separate without the Playbase but only for music as not connected to the TVNot sure what else to try. As stated it was working and worked great then after just over a week of no use, next time using it wasn’t working. Nothing changed on the wifi network and nothing had been switched off at wall. Was there an update done automatically to Playbase?  Seeking help getting this resolved. Thanks! 

I have an Arc SL, two One SLs, and a sub. The arc finiahed the update and works fine. The other three units show as “updating" and has shown this status the past 5 hours. I've removed power from the speakers and re-applied it but it didnt work. I also uninstalled and reinstalled the app but no dice. Any suggestions before I get rid of this junk?
