Hi, with the announcement of the new era speakers I was wondering if there was a way I could integrate the Era 300 and use them as rear speakers for an existing Sonos Arc - Sonos In - Ceiling (rears) and Sonos Sub.I would love to integrate the era 300 speakers but I don’t know if my In-Ceiling would be now unusable.Hope my question is clear and thanks in advance. 

I have an arc connected to a tv and wired to a router.  I have 2 Sonos, One’s and surrounds, and a sub, all of with are not wired.  Until four days ago, everything was fine, then the One’s and sub stopped playing and ungrouped from the arc.  I tried multiple things to get them to regroup and play, but the only thing that worked was to disable the arc’s wifi.  As I’ve read, this is not the optimal way to connect surrounds.  So why would enabling the wifi on the arc cause the surround and One’s to ungroup and stop working?

I have updated the Sonos app on my Samsung phone to version 15.1 and, despite spending > 6 hours trying to fix it,  my Sonos system is now un-usable. My Play:1’s won't connect to my Beam and won't reconnect to the Sonos app unless I reset them and create a new account without my Beam.I have tried using wifi and ethernet cables (at different times) but nothing helps. I have also used the PC version of the Sonos app but got error 1101 when the update failed.The Sonos app says my Sonos system must be updated but also says the app must be updated first. But my app is already the latest version (15.1). So I can't update my app (already the latest version) or system, and my system won't work properly without being updated. Many functions are greyed out in the app and, as already mentioned, I can't add back my Play:1 speakers which I reset to try to fix the problem (without success). So my system is un-usable junk.Despite the Sonos app being version 15.1, it shows my Beam as being version

I have a wireless Beam (Gen 1) + Sub (Gen 2) system that has worked flawlessly since I set up in November 2019. I added a Roam in December last year. A few days ago the Sub showed to be disconnected from the Beam. When I try to reconnect it is unable to find the sub. Resetting the router did not help. After a factory reset on the Sub I could add, but it comes up unassigned. When I try to add it to the Beam it freezes up on the very last step (Adding Sub. This may take a minute…). It now shows up in the System as Sub (unused), Sub – Reconnecting.

What is the preferred position for a pair of Sonos Five’s as rear surrounds? Vertical or horizontal? 

I am a new owner of Beam gen2. I have connected the Beam to my Samsung the Frame and apple tv 4k. When I look at Netflix and a film supporting Atmos, I can see in the Sonos app that I have Dolby Atmos. But when I look at a film with DD 5.1 I can see in the Sonos app stereo pcm 2.0. What is wrong with my settings? 

Why do I have to search for my BEAM every damn day???

Hi y’all.  I have a new Ray. During setup, I connected my TV’s remote control to Ray to control the volume. Fine and dandy. Later, I connected Google Home Assistant so that I could use voice control functionality. That seems to work fine. But, now, the physical remote seems to have lost control of volume. Does anyone know if there’s a tweak in settings that needs to be made? Or maybe a conflict between Assistant and physical remote that doesn’t allow use of both? Thanks for your insights! 

I have a beam gen 2 and the one sl in home theater setting. So when i have watched tv and turned the tv off, i want to start music by pressing the play button on one of the home theater sonos devices.It will not work, because it will flash the orange light ‘No playlist available’ or something like that.Is there a way to fix this?

HT/living room: beam + sub mini + one x 2Kitchen: one x 2Group both rooms so both will hear the TV but my understanding is that there will be a delay in the kitchen.   My living room and kitchen are quite close to each other so I’m sure I will be hearing the echoing.  Question is can I turn the living room’s volume to zero to avoid the echoing while I am in the kitchen?  I can see the tv from the kitchen but am far away that I won’t notice any video/audio syncing issues.. Thanks 

Hi The below is my setupSonos Arc BenQ TK700STi 4k HDR Short throw projector (QS01 ANDROID TV DONGLE) Sub Gen 3 SL one HD Fury 4k Arcana 18 GBPS NEWCARE HDMI 2.1Switch 8k 60 Hz FireStick and BenQ QS01 ANDROID TV DONGLE (that streams android apps)My issue is almost like the one we have in this forum with a title “ Sonos Arc, HD Fury Arcana, Google Chromecast with Google TV , Viwsonic projector: Stero PCM only”I have reviewed and followed (i think i did) suggestions particularly form “GuitarSuperstar”HDMI2 input to my projector : Firestick>HD Fury>output one to Projector and two to Sonos Arc --I get Digital Dolby 5.1 as Sonos ARC input,  with  TV ARC Routing setting to ON or OFF HDMI3 input to my projector : BenQ QS01 ANDROID TV DONGLE > HD Fury Arcana>Sonos Arc  --I get Sterio PCM  [Only if i turn TV ARC Routing setting to ON] otherwise no sound at allAny help is much appreciated, thanks in advance

Hello everyone, I am trying to figure out how to set up my speakers with a receiver. I’m confused as to whether I need the Sonos Port or Sonos Amp. I have a projector + screen set up in my basement.I have purchased a receiver, the Onkyo TX-NR696. I have an extra pair of Sonos One speakers and would like to use those along the back, and purchase the Arc or Beam for the front and possibly another pair of One’s in the front, as well as the Sub. First, is this set up possible? I would prefer to avoid any drywall work or cutting to make this sound setup as work free as possible. How do I connect two pairs of speakers like that plus the sound bar and sub to the receiver? Any discussion is greatly appreciated. Thank you,

I have an Arc and two One SL's.  They were successfully setup with the OneSLs as LS and RS surround speakers. The RS One SL got disconnected and I cannot get it set up as the RS surround speaker again.I have rebooted it several times and it comes back online it is in the room as a separate system and when I try to add it as the right side speaker the app cannot find it.Super frustrating.  I have an eero mesh system set up as a bridge so I am hoping that at least is correct.I am about ready to delete the entire system from the app, delete the app, and start from scratch by rebooting all three devices and building the system again.  I don’t care about losing the settings as we use the system exclusively with our LG C1 and i’m tired of trying everything I can try on this.  I just don’t want to go through the whole set up again only to lose the speaker again.Has anybody out there experienced this and found a solution? 

Hello,I just configured a pair of OneSL as surround of my playbar. They have been correctly paired with no issue. Then, I tested with some music from the application Sonos, I can hear it on the playbar, but not at all on both OneSL. I configured the surround mode as “complete” in the parameters, but nothing changed. I looked for this issue on the net and on the community, but found nothing, can you help me please? When I play some music from the application, should the speakers ungroup from the TV group? And if I watch something on my TV, they will regroup automatically with the playbar, right? Thank you in advance,Florent

if i use 2 sonos in wall speakers, a sound bar, and a sub can i link them all to on tv and room?If so what device do i connect the tv cord to and how do i connect all of them?

I just purchased the Ray and due to space constraints, during set up I had to place it in front of the TV, which  blocks the infra red on my TV.  As a result, the remote does not turn on the TV.  I also have a Beam which does turn the TV on even though the Beam blocks the TV IR.  Does the Ray have this same type of capability?

I’m planning to use my 2 Sonos One speakers as a surround pair along with Sonos Beam. (Maybe in future I’m going to invest into Sonos Sub Mini)I can connect all 3 of them via Ethernet cable. Should I connect all of them to the same wired network or is it better to just connect one speaker in the Sonos net and let them establish a wireless network instead?

When I finish playing a game on the XBOX. I lose my audio. It seems that the application shows the Dolby 5.1 during the game but after I exit the game, whilst still on the XBOX, the menu nor apps have no audio. I have to turn off the XBOX to get it too come back. It's really so confusing. I've checked settings over and over to attempt a fix but I've gotten nothing. Does anyone have any idea why this is occurring?  Thank you so much in advance!

hi :) i have a beam + sub mini + 2 one set up, i just connected my turn table to port and playing auto on my set up, I noticed there is no bass come from sub mini at all, is this meant to be or am i doing something wrong? many thanks Shan 

The waves do not appear in the hdmi port where I connect my arc.  I don't detect the codec type in the Sonos app

I've notice there is a lot of posts about sonos arc and LG cx, but i think mine is different.It's not that arc stops working, is more that some apps are able to wake it up and other aren't. In my case, some times the PC signal or lg native you tube app aren't able to wake it app. The solution at the moment is to pass through Amazon prime/Netflix apps and then switch to you tube or the PC.Is there a way to permanently disable the stand by in the arc ? Or to switch it on/off manually?

Greetings forum members,I am writing to seek assistance with connecting my Sonos Beam soundbar to my new gaming laptop. I have recently purchased a new laptop and have been trying to connect it to my Sonos Beam soundbar, but I have been facing some challenges.I have attempted to connect my Sonos Beam to my laptop through the HDMI ARC port, but I have not been successful. I have checked all the cables and ports to ensure that they are properly connected, but the Sonos Beam is still not detected by my laptop. I have also attempted to connect my laptop to the Sonos Beam through Bluetooth, but I have not been successful in this either.I would greatly appreciate any assistance or advice that the forum members can provide on this matter. Hi everyone,I am kind of lost when trying to choose my next sound bar… Any help appreciated!Here is my current video setup. [Epson projector EH-TW5650] <----HDMI---- [Xiaomi Mi Box streamer] ----optic--→ [JBL sound bar] For the music system, i have two play:1 one play: 3 one Sonos Port to play vinyl discs I am into finding a new sound bar to replace my JBL old and badly sounded bar. Sonos is obviously on the list.Knowing that:the Xiaomi mi box streamer supports only Dolby DTS that my Epson projector has only 2 HDMI ports (one standard, one MHL) and therefore cannot use HDMI to broadcast the sound streamWDYT:about the Sonos RAY in place of my current JBL sound bar ? Are we ok this will enjoy the DTS sound from the Xiaomi Mi box streamer? Seems to me that BEAM could be a nice upgrade for power and clarity but ARC is definitely overkilled in this setup? can i add my two play:1 in the setup to create a more spacial sound? I have a Beam Gen 2 connected to our Living Room TV and would like to add either a pair of Era 100s or a pair of one SLs as surround speakers for watching movies. However for various reasons I’m not able to have these speakers permanently located in the Living Room. So is it possible to set up the  Beam Gen 2 with a pair of surround speakers so that I can easily connect them whenever I want to watch a movie with surround sound and then when finished remove them from the room until the next time I want to watch another movie?

Hello There, I got the Ray, i’m trying to connect it to my computer, but my computer does not have the optical port, it only has a audio type c. I bought an adapter USB AUDIO CONVERTER OPTICAL AND 3.5MM, I plug it into my type c, nothing works then I try a usb port but there is no audio coming out either, my computer does detect that there is a speaker plug it and even has the green audio lv going up, Any tips? I was going to return this but I really want to make it work. Much would be appreciated thank you.I have a rog strix b550- e gaming motherboard
