connecting Ray + Amp to PC via Optical

Hi guys,

I’ve been using Sonos products for years and looking to expand my current kit into my home office.

I’d like to connect a Ray to my PC via optical. I’d also like to connect the Sonos Amp to my PC via optical (assuming this is necessary and the amp can’t pick up the signal via WiFi). The amp will be powering 2x Q Acoustics bookshelf speakers that will act as rears.

my PC only has one optical connection so with the above needing two optical connections, I’ve hit a roadblock.

Does the amp need to be connected via optical if the Ray already is?

any thoughts or guidance would be very much appreciated!

When used as surrounds, the Amp will communicate wirelessly with the Ray. It does not need to be connected to the computer.
