I plan to wall mount the ERA 300 in normal orientation on my living room back wall. The MLP is about 90cm in front of that wall and the speakers would be located about 164cm on each side of the MLPI have come up with two height positions from the floor up based on my seated ear level being 95cm.127cm - Angled towards MLP 15 degrees left/right & bottom 79cm - Complying with Atmos guidelines 1.25x max height in relation to Arc heightI know I would probably need to experiment with these arrangements myself and choose which sounds better to my ears but I wanted to ask fellow community members how was their experience experimenting with the height placements of the ERA 300 - do you get better sound higher and angled in or around ear level? Now, would your positioning change if the centre tweeter be enabled in

Hello - I am planning to replace a 15 year old TV and “conventional” HDMI receiver-based 5.1 surround sound system that uses individual wired speakers and a subwoofer.  To reduce the footprint, I am considering a Sonos-based solution, specifically the Arc to provide the front channels, the Amp to power a pair of existing in-ceiling surround speakers and the Sub for bass.I have the following questions regarding this configuration: As I understand the connections, only the Arc would connect to TV via the eARC HDMI port and the Arc, Amp and Sub would all be connected to our home network - is this correct? We have an ethernet connection at the location of our media cabinet - would it be advantageous to connect the Sonos components with wired connections to reduce the load on our Wifi network and minimize the chances for audio “glitches”? Though now discontinued, we would plan to continue to use our Logitech Harmony Hub as a universal remote so

Hi, I have a Mac that connects to Sonos Ray speaker over optical cable.But when I finish playing a music over AirPlay from my phone, I cannot get my Mac to play sound through the optical input.Is there a way to control the sound input of the Speaker between AirPlay and Optical Input?

I can't be the only one that wants to add more speakers to their home theater setup. Rocking the Arc, dual subs and fives for the rears. It seems weird that I can't add the Era 300 's or in ceiling speakers to this set up instead of swapping out speakers and repurposing the old ones. Using the Moves as left and Right speakers, or wide the ERA 100's as wide (front) left and right. Just using my imagination.

Hello All,Having a serious conundrum with what to do with this room… I currently own a sonos arc, sub and 2 SL ones that I have been using for home theater in an apartment. Moving to a house and want to try to recreate but dimensions on the room seem awful for it. My concern is that with a sectional couch pushed up against the wall there’s no room for a right rear speaker. I could use the rear ceiling speakers that I’m likely going to switch out to sonos architectural speakers with a sonos amp but even then they’d be so high and asymmetrical to couch placement with R rear directly above and L rear off to the side. Appreciate any ideas the group has. The TV will be mounted on the exposed brick once it’s cleaned up and the large sectional will be in front of it. Some pictures before and during renovation for reference with old ceiling/wall speakers installed which will likely but upgraded but not relocated (not perfect pics but hopefully you can piece together the room u

After two frustrating years with the Sonos mobile app (unplug/reboot/reconfigure ad nauseum), can I plug my Arc, Sub 3, two Sonos One SL’s by ethernet and still control with my Sonos mobile app? 

Recently purchased 4 x Era 100 speakers, Sonos Amp and Sonos Sub with the hope of setting up a 4.1 system in my living room with a Samsung Frame TV.  Anyone know if it is possible to use these Sonos products to achieve a 4.1? So far I believe I’ve achieved a version of 2.1 by connecting my amp to the TV via eArc. I then added 2 x Era 100 and Sonos Sub in stereo. So my System shows 2 Products:Living Room (Amp) Living Room (Era 100-L + Era 100-R + Sub)They are grouped on playback and I can control the volume from my phone in a grouped fashion. Unfortunately when I change the volume via the TV it only adjusts Living Room (Amp). So the actual speakers with sound aren’t adjusted. I can’t seem to use “Groups” unless I add more products - the app specifically says I need to have 3 total “Products” to use “Groups”. Also, I couldn’t see a way to add the speakers to the amp in stereo.  Is the right next step t

My Samsung TV does not have a digital optical port for me to connect the Sonos Playbar to. How can I connect my TV to my Playbar? Hello to all,is there a way to test the Dolby Atmos sound on the HT sistem even thought SonoS app reports “DOlby Atmos”?I searched on youtube and there are tracks “Dolby Atmos” test...but playing those the SonoS app gives 5.1 and not Dolby Atmos.So how could i do a Dolby Atmos test to compare ERA100 to ERA300 (using the Beam gen2 + Mini sub)??? Thanks

Hi,i have a nice surround system with an arc, sub and 2 one sl.now I have taken the two ones to a vacation house. And I cannot activate my “room” because the arc and sub are missing. Yes I know they are still at home 😬How can I get sound to my 2 one’s? 😀

When I play music via Beam I need tu turn the TV on otherwise I cannot play music. Also when I ask Google to play music from YouTube music the Beam responds but does not play music unless I have the TV one. Is there a setting so I don't have to have the TV on to listen to music?

Reset my network and now my surround sounds are in a different room to my arc and sub. I’ve tried removing them and readding them then I lost them altogether

I have the Sony A80K I just bought and can’t get my Sony settings correct so my Sony remote will control my sound and not the default TV speakers.  I had this setup for my past Samsung TV and could use the Samsung remote on a TV or my Apple TV remote to control the sound. I have the 2nd playbar with the optic able to connect, a sub and a SL and one speaker for my setup. 

Hi folks,I am intending to renovate my living room and considering placing a ceiling fan. However, this may affect the spatial/Atmos Dolby effect of my setup - arc, sub and 2 rear era 300. I was googling around for answers but there are mixed response. I would assume that an operating fan will definitely distort the upward firing sounds, but will a stationary fan affect significantly? Any thoughts? CheersGab

In my livingroom i have a single Arc that i want to tune with True Play tuning. The app starts the proces but tells me there is a speaker missing and it stops the process?? I do have 2 ERA 300’s + Sub mini in another room. Atm in time they are not connected to the Arc because there are no floor or wall mounts available (crazy if you think about that) to install my cinema set-up. That’s why i put them in another room to listen music until the mounts release in June.  My system sees all speakers in 2 different rooms and work properly per room like they should. My Arc has no missing speakers in the app like Arc+?+? or something.  why is trueplay missing a speaker in my room with a single stand alone Arc?

Hi, I have a Sony tv remote using Bluetooth but it won’t connect to my Sonos Soundbar using IR via Sonos app. Any resolution? TV is connected to sound at using optical with no problem hearing sound just cannot connect to tv remote.

I have an apple TV and recently got a sonos Beam.AppleTV is HDMI to the First HDMI port, Beam to the ARC port.It passes sound fine. Apple TV controls volume fine. But the TV no longer turns on when the apple TV is turned on.Even the original TV Remote doesn’t work when the beam is connected. I have to turn the TV on at the TV front panel. Troubleshooting things I have tried:I have disabled IR on the Beam, I have toggled AnyNet settings and Apple TV remote pass through settings.It HAS worked a few times, but everytime I get it to work once, it never works again.I set up voice controls, first Test “Hey Sonos, Turn on TV" worked fine, then when we actually tried to use it, it stopped working.Sometimes, very rarely, the Apple TV will turn on the TV when it powers on, but it is inconsistent and never works when I actually want it to.This is incredibly furstrating and I don’t understand what the con

Hi forum I have sonos playbar together with two sonos one sl as rear speakers, as tv speakers. Playbar is connected through a HDMI switch, as my Samsung does not support HDMI pass through.  When I’m watching Apple Tv (hdmi → hdmi switch→ toslink → playbar) it can output Dolby Digital 5.1 when supported shows has that. Sounds excellent btw.  But when I’m watching blu-ray/dvd (sony bdp-s1500 → hdmi → hdmi switch → toslink → playbar) Sonos app only show Stereo PCM regardless of setting I use.  Digital audio output: Auto or PCMBD AUDIO MIX: on or offDolby Digital Compatible output: on or offAudio DRC: auto or on or offDownmix: surround or stereo  Anyone have any suggestions or experience?  

Hi.im using the beam gen 2 for some time now.im using it with the newest Apple TV 4K without atmos because my tv have only Arc.(no earc).today I thought maybe I can use the atmos on my Xbox series x but there also it says it can’t play atmos although my tv does support Dolby digital plus. I downloaded the Dolby app and still no atmos.also I did a test on the Xbox of the sound channels and left/ right was REVERSED. Is it a problem with Xbox or something wrong with my beam?I thought I hear reversed channels for sometime but on other forum people told me there is no way this could happen.is there a fix for all of this?thanks in advance
