I have 2 play 5 (gen1) speakers and 2 symonfisk speakers and a Beam Gen1.

Following a network glitch i have reinstalled all devices.

However the beam will only connect using an ethernet cable direct to router, although during setup it is asking for wifi details and when i enter them it appears to finish setup although no messages appear to say its ok.

as soon as i disconnect the ethernet cable the beam does not appear in app.

Any help gratefully received

Have you checked in the controller (while the Beam is wired and showing up) that the radio/Wi-Fi has not been accidentally turned off for the Beam?

 I’d also, while it’s showing in the controller, submit a system diagnostic, and call Sonos Support to discuss it, on the offhand chance there is something else unusual going on. 


Oh, one more random thought, I’d also do a simple power cycle of the Beam, for at least 3 minutes, just to be ‘sure’.
