I must connect my ERA 100 every time when I open tv!! Only ARC is auto connected.is there any solution to adjust era 100 volume with tv remote ?

I have been using a Sonos Beam with 2 Sonos Fives as surrounds for watching content on my TV. The Beam standalone is not as good of a speaker compared to the Fives in my opinion and I have been contemplating if I should just sell it. On a side note, I am exploring the idea of grouping 2 Sonos Era 100s and 2 Sonos Fives and connect them to my Apple TV. Has anyone tried this before and have any feedback/inputs? 

My set is: : playbar + sub , 2 surround connect:amp in wall, I would like add two more play1 at the front, is the possible ? 

Hi everyone. I bought 1x Ray and 2x Era 100. I put the Ray in the center and the Era 100 on the sides. Can you please tell me if the Sonos app realized that the Era is used for the front right and left channel? I have an assumption that the Sonos app thinks the Era is used for the rear left and right channels. Is there any way I can check this and reconfigure it? Thanks.

I have had issues intermittently with the sound cutting in and out or skipping with my system. I have an epson projector with an hdmi cable 50ft run through the ceiling and down the wall to my Sonos arc. From the Arc I have a sub and two SLs connected. I have good internet signal and everything worked great for about a month, then I started to notice the skipping or cutting in and out of the sound. It’s annoying as heck when trying to enjoy a movie. Has anyone experienced this? If so then how did you fix it? I tried calling SONOS for help and it just direct me to someone in another country following a set list of trouble shooting.

My question During set up I put the arc as living room.The video says to assign the pair of Era 100 to a different room?I dont assign them with the living room?So do I assign them to the kitchen?Thanks Moderator edit: changed Ethos to Era

Hello,I'm planning to buy a Sonos Sub Mini and I need your help please.Is it possible to use a sonos sub for a home cinema installation (beam gen2 and 2 one) AND for a music installation (2 five)?Everything is located in the same room.Of course I don't want to use the home cinema while I listen to music.Have a good day.

I have a very new Sonos Arc and a Sony x800M2 which play through my 9 month old LG 65OLEDCS6 I have had no sound problems so far I bought my first 4k disc to play. Close Encounters. It has 3 versions on it I sat down tonight to pay it but there is no soundThere is sound when I start the DVD off and it goes through the pre-amble but when I select the version I want, and I have tried more than one version there is no sound. English is the first optionI scrolled throught the others, French, Spanish, Japanese, Italian and German etc and when i select those languages there is sound But when I select English again nothing Very frustrating as I have waited a long time to get this disc. Any thoughts. ?

I pared my Samsung TV remote to my Sonos Beam, following the Sonos instructions exactly.  Ever since every time I use the remote to control the tv the actions are announced.  How do I stop this?  It is very annoying.

Some troubleshooting help for those experiencing the popping/static/distortion sound after upgrading to tvOS17 with Apple TV 4K and Sonos Arc…I was experiencing this crackle/distortion from the Arc after a few minutes of use and most noticeably when I would start the Apple TV VPN service (I tried 2 different VPN Apps, same impact). Resolution:changing the Apple TV Video to 4K HDR (HDR10+) 60 Hz (from the 50Hz option) seems to have solved the issue after restarting the Apple TV and the Arc Trouble Steps taken (no resolution):Update Sonos S2 App, then update the Sonos speakers after (no resolution) Testing for 2.4Ghz interference, fixed wifi to channel 1 (from 6) and SonosNet Channel (in app) to 11 (from 6) (no resolution) trying different VPN (no resolution)Equipment:Apple TV 4K tvOS 17 (ethernet connected) Arc (ethe

If I buy a beam gen 2, with my dolby atmos tv would I be able to play movies in dolby atmos with my sub and sonos ones as surrounds? 

I have a New Qled Samsung TV and have purchased a Sonos Beam Gen 2 and a Sub Mini, all great but I’ve been having a issues with the Sonos disconnecting and reverting the TV back to TV speaker.I also have a 4K Amazon Firestick and suspicious it is this causing the conflict.The Sonos is connected to the HDMI - e Arc (3) and the Firestick is connected to HDMI 2.I’ve read that others on here have had this or similar problems and disabled CEC on the Amazon Firestick, I’ve done this now and hope it cures it.I did try the supplied Optical to HDMI cable as an alternative connection but the body seems to be a bit too big to connect it correctly to the TV and couldn’t get it to work.Any help with this would be much appreciated.

Hi all, I’m at my wits end with this ongoing problem. I’ve done the standard troubleshooting below which works HOWEVER whenever I turn the TV off at the end of the day and go to turn it back on to use it later or whenever the problem starts up again, communication failure etc. Really shouldn’t have to be doing this every time I want to use my system or watch a movie or game. Any help would be greatly appreciated. All my other devices work perfectly with my TV, the ARC is plugged into the E/ARC port and everything is configured correctly with Bravia Sync. Disconnect everything from the TV and unplug the Arc and TV from power for a couple of minutes. Plug everything back in but keep everything disconnected. Make sure Bravia Sync is enabled in the TV settings. Run TV Setup in the Sonos app and follow the app instructions. When the app instructs you, connect the Arc to the TV’s HDMI ARC port using the Sonos-supplied HDMI cable. After the Arc has been successfully connected

Since installing the Sonos Beam 2 I have had a few incidents where the LG OLED TV switches itself on at random times. This seems to coincide with the Virgin Internet being disrupted? Is this a known 'feature' and how do I stop it happening?

The Samsung Remote suddenly stoped working (28/9/23). Worked for years, 2021 Samsung Q90 tv. Tried changing battery in remote, and factory reset Playbar without luck. Was able to change volume a few times, and also re-connect in the app. But now it’s nothing. Also tried deleting universal remote and setting it up again.  any body els experience this? 

My sonos soundbar is since recently having issue’s with heavy bass. Wondering if this can be caused by a software update, don’t think that the woofer is blown up as most of the bass sounds ok. Only when playing certain movies I get a “funky” sound which is most likely the best described as Bass distortion. 

Hello all, I have an Arc connected via eARC to a LG TV, an Apple TV and have added 2 Sonos Ones as surround speakers. What I’ve noticed is that DD5.1 content (streamed) is extremely vibrant and makes fantastic use of the surround speakers, whereas Atmos content (streamed) does not by comparison, the surround speakers seem to only output musical effects, but don’t seem to be part of the soundstage. Am I missing a setting, or is this expected?Thanks,Ian

J'ai téléchargé l'application Sonos et fait le nécessaire pour la connexion de la barre de son. L'application me propose une mise à jour, celle-ci s'effectue mais à la fin j'ai un message d'erreur 1001 m'indiquant un défaut de réseau. J'ai testé sur 3 réseau wifi différents et en Ethernet, le défaut est le même. J'ai également redémarré mon routeur et la Beam, même chose, impossible de finaliser la mise à jour de la barre de son. Quelqu'un aurait une solution, s'il vous plaît ? Merci d'avance !

Hi, I’m a film maker in south east london who has been a starved of home cinema for too long and desperately needs your help! I wonder if you can help answer my questions or point me to the right threads. For a long time I had the original apple tv with optical audio out going through a little powered connecting box before going into the original (now defunct) Sonos white and grey Amp. There was always intermittent issues that we overcame much to the frustration of my wife! However I’ve just purchased a new Apple TV box which doesn’t have an optical out and feels like i need to get a new Amp to replace the old one which doesn’t work on the new Sonos app. Could you recommend in baby language what system components you think i need to get to play movies from a projector. I have pair of sonos speakers and the Sub. Do i just have to rely on hdmi for sound now? is that a major downgrade? do I need an amp? Thankyou in advance! 

First off let me say I’ve personally installed 4 or 5 Arc+Sub Gen 3 systems so I know what it should sound like and am aware what performance to expect from the sub. I’m Just not getting it on my system.My typical configuration is Arc + Connect: Amp (surrounds) + SubVery low output from the sub. Doesn’t matter the source (TV eARC, Airplay, or native music in Sonos app)To even hear it the slightest it had to be turned up to at least +8I’ve factory reset everything (Arc, Amp, & Sub) to no avail. So I tried an experiment. I removed the sub and amp from the Arc and made the Connect: Amp it’s own room. I connected the sub to it and WOW! You can feel the bass. It’s the way it should sound. So I go back in and create my surround setup again by connecting the sub back to the Arc and making the Connect: Amp the surrounds. Sub back to its old ways. Very low output. So the sub clearly works. It’s not placement, it’s not poor Wi-Fi. It works correctly with other

I am planning to set up a 5.1 surround system for my TV. I have a Beam 2nd Gen a Play 3, a Play 5 2nd Gen and Connect Amp. For the rear speakers should I use my Connect Amp and a couple of speakers or buy a second hand Play 3  and have 2 Play 3s as my rear speakers ?
